OK, as I always say - you should write your reviews based on the category that the restaurant falls within. That being said, I don't think Peter Piper's intended to have the best pizza in town. Instead, they intend to serve it fast and cheap and provide an entertaining experience for the young ones. The pizza was ok and we even tried the wings - they had a dry rub on them instead of a sauce but they were still ok. The place was pretty clean and it kept the kiddos busy for about an hour and a half until they ran out of tokens. They even have ice cream for desert! This place is loud and there are kids running all over, but again - that is to be expected. I would definitely say this place is right on par with Chuck E. Cheese. read more

My review is based on having a party there now. So I would say this was a three star based solely on the how the party host was and the system they use. So we check in and it's smooth, our party host introduced themself and right off the bat. Very sweet person but majority of the time we noticed the party host standing and just talking to the other co workers around. A few of my friends had mentioned it as well so I knew it wasn't just me. The only thing they did was bring stuff out and it was my party host most of the time. When it was time to sing happy birthday the ice cream came out and I asked that the kids get ice cream first but disappeared again. I had my friends help me out pass out the cake and ice cream. Zero help from the party host. Just again talking to the other workers. We still had a great time and the kids had a good time as well. So this review is based on having a party here. read more

Crispy, slightly burnt crust with a a rich, sweet, yet peppery sauce, topped with quality cheese. I recently went for a birthday. The prices gave gone up. I have an 18yr and a 15 yr old. I had to pay adult prices for them, which I understood for my 18-year-old, but why not have in-between child price and adult. So I ended up 47.99 less than what I went in there with. It was busy when we went. The pizza wasn't fresh what so ever. Well, the ones I got. I went up again after sadly disappointed for the cold like pizza. Fresh pepperoni was about to be served, and it was trying to get it before others. There were kids that were unsupervised from a summer program field trip, and they were taking all the dang pizza. The one thing that makes me give this place a one star rating is the fact that there was mold in the parm cheese shaker at the table. Service was ok. The staff was polite and replaced our cheese shaker. As far as noise in the place, it is nice that the play areas are separated from dining areas so that not too much noise escapes as you're eating. I have to say that I was at the place for a kid's birthday party. So, yeah noise is gonna be what it's gonna be. read more

When it comes to kids parties, PPP is normally the go to place. This location has plenty of space and cool games for the kiddos. The food is okay and what you expect of a place like this. On this visit for my son's 8th birthday, the pizza was crispy and good but a little dry. The overpriced wings were pretty bad and not a pound as advertised. Yes, San Antonio's "inimitable gourmand, bon vivant and man about town, the Mysterious Ryan M" is reviewing the alliterative nightmare known as Peter Piper Pizza. Allow me to explain. A client threw a pizza party for my office. I thought to myself, "What a great idea! The best pizza joint in the city, Il Forno, is practically within walking distance!" Imagine my dismay when the pies came not from Il Forno, Dough, Southtown Pizzeria, nor any other reputable pizza joint near downtown San Antonio. Instead, the client chose a place thirty minutes away that caters to Ritalin-deprived scalawags, Valium-popping soccer moms, and beer-guzzling, pot-bellied dads. The Mysterious Ryan M. is an openminded, optimistic gent*, so I was willing to push aside any preconceptions and bite into a slice. How bad could it be? As I begin this review, I ask myself what would make a pizza the worst ever. A crust with the flavor and texture of cardboard? A canned tomato sauce sweeter than ketchup? Plaster masquerading as Mozzarella? A nitrate-laden pork product tasting more of Pup-Peroni than pepperoni**? Human hair? Rat droppings? Well, only five of the six preceding criteria apply to Triple P's pizzas, so theirs are terrible but not the worst ever. The slice I sampled was even more horrid than expected: TMJ-inducingly chewy, saturated with pasty, cloyingly sweet sauce, and piled high with flavorless white cheese and a miserly portion of flaccid, mass-produced pepperoni. The pièce de résistance: a six-inch strand of brown hair lying inconspicuously beneath a layer of cheese. On a positive note, I detected no rat feces, so at least Triple P has that going for it. You might be wondering why I bothered to write this review. Why indeed. After all, ADHD tots cannot resist the pizza pied piper, and nothing I write will dissuade their parents. My audience is you, dear Yelper. This review is a plea to avoid office parties where this pizza is served. Hide in your darkened office, savor your hifalutin cold-smoked salmon, and avoid social interaction at all costs. This place is great if you're stuck with a bunch of children, and not enough dough to hire nannies. The food is consistent and not bad. The games are current and dining is not overwhelmed by running screaming children. I believe that the target customer is one that is outnumbered by hungry children. I love the nostalgia of PPP and the new set up allows more newer games to be displayed. I've also always loved their pizza with it's super crunchy original crust and their melty cheese. Sometimes it can get quite dirty, but there's kids everywhere, so that's expected. All in all, as an arcade, the food is well above expectations and the fun exceeds all. read more

Cool place for the kids and cheaper than most arcades. You get extra tokens when you spend $20. Pizza is affordable. This place is way cheaper than chunky cheeses and way better as far as food quality and amount of games goes, the kids enjoy it. Some of the games here are kind of boring and sometimes at certain game stations your tokens get eaten but you can talk to a worker of that happens. I had fun with the kids my last visit, my main complaint is I told the workers I wasn't done with my food and I was coming back to my table and 45 mins went by and they took my food anyway. We always go to the location in New Braunfels but we decided to come to this location since we were on this side of town. The arcade was way bigger and had a lot more games but the food and service was just as good as the other location. We have not had a bad experience so far at Peter Piper's. First time at this location. Looks small from outside but when you walk in... It's huge. Much bigger than the 1604 location. We went at 5pm on a Friday evening. No wait and it was not packs. My kids enjoyed the game section as well. They have a bumper car/ mini ride in there which I thought was pretty cool. The pizza was delicious and made to order. Always fresh and well made.
