He said my appendix had ruptured and there was a lot of bacteri, infection and inflammation that needed to be taken care of before even thinking about surgery! I asked him to take the appendix out before I go home and he said Noooo! Let's wait for everything to heal! He was incredibly patient and gave me lots of information! His bedside mannerisms were impeccable! Whenever we visited him in his office he always shook both my husband's and my hands! I felt extremely relaxed and knew he was the best surgeon I could have asked for! My appendectomy was on August 4th and I have absolutely no issues at all! I highly speak of dr Nikesh Lath and would recommend him wholeheartily! Thank you Dr Nikesh for saving me!!!!

It included blood pressure, EKG, blood work, urinalysis, etc. This ruled out a life-threatening emergency . I was reevaluated every few hrs or so. At that point, I could have left since a heart attack was ruled out, or I'm sure I would have received immediate care. A triage nurse has extra training in emergency evaluations. I was seen by the doctor after 14 hrs. of waiting and then admitted for two days. This is just my opinion. I think a lot of the people in the ER could have gone to an urgent care or waited to see their doctor the next day. Some people did leave. I guess they decided they weren't that sick. The wait time is ridiculous, but what can the hospital and staff do when people keep coming in. There are also ambulances coming in as well. The staff did their best to make people as comfortable as possible. In my opinion the staff work very hard to take care of the patients. I don't know what the solution is, but I do know it's people much higher up that need to fix the problem . It's sure not the staff.

I understand there will not be a physician in the office only a physician assistant. I'm not comfortable with not having an physician in the office.

When I called their office, I was told the piece of tooth left in my gums would "probably" work its way out. I decided to go to another oral surgeon who told me he had actually left a whole root in my gums and it had to be taken out because it would eventually get infected. He couldn't believe the first surgeon either didn't check or know he had done that. I would NEVER recommend going to this place. Obviously they are horrible at their jobs and don't care.

I have had 5 procedures done by Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen was recommended to me by several other Physicians. That speaks volumns. Dr. Chens work speaks for itself. The procedures I had done were pretty serious surgeries. Dr. Chen and his staff made me feel completely comfortable with each procedure. All risks as well as rewards were thoroughly explained to me. Dr. Chen is an extremely honest guy, and will be up front about everything. Every question answered, every phone call returned. DR. chen, Hillary, and Tina would make time for me if it was the simplest of things. Dr. Chen and his staff takes their work seriously and Dr. Chen takes great pride in his work, as evidenced in the end results of the procedures he does. I have been 100% happy with all of the outcomes. The Staff is always very accomidating as I mentioned, very helpful and always goes over and above to make sure you are well taken care of. Dr. Chen has several convenient office locations which make it great for people that are outside of the Joliet area, and works within several hospitals and surgical facilities.
