I got bandages that were wrong size, hard to remove and some things that didn't apply to my condition. But Homelink charges a ridiculous price to Medicare and you still have to pay a copay. For the same copay you can get better bandages at Walgreens. This is why Medicare will go broke charging $50 to $80 for a box of bandages. My nurse could have been given more help in ordering because she was new. Now I have to pay for wrong supplies. If you look up vgmhomelink.com you will see attitude of founder. It isn't about the patient. If you can, ask the nurse what supplies you can get from Walgreens. It may seem easy to go along blindly until you get the bill from Homelink. My nurse was experienced in wound care. PTs were good with a lot of experience but could only stay for about 40 minutes. Another note: after your initial Physical Therapy, if you need to learn to walk with a walker, you can ask your Doctor to write an order for Home PT in preparation for outpatient PT at a place like ATI. The hours Medicare allocates for Home PT and outpatient PT are in different buckets. You still have the same hours left for outpatient PT after the Home PT

This raises a reasonable question: why are appointment slots being publicly listed online if new patients cannot actually book them? I asked the administrator this exact question, but she simply kept repeating the same phrase like a recording: "The doctor is not accepting new patients." I explained that this explanation is not acceptable. If a doctor truly is not accepting new patients, then available dates and times should not be published at all. Instead of addressing the issue, the receptionist began pushing other random doctors on me. If I wanted to see just any doctor, I would have booked one myself. It was important for me specifically to see this doctor, and that was completely ignored. Overall, this felt like a waste of time and very poor communication. Listing appointment availability that patients cannot actually use is misleading and frustrating.

In my opinion, this office was fine for routine annual physicals only. But if you need anything outside of that, it turns into a real hassle and you don't feel supported. We've been patients here for about 10 years, but we're now changing doctors because the customer service has gone downhill and it no longer feels like they truly care about their patients. At this location I had a Holter monitor put on, and the process was seamless. I had an appointment which was right on, and I was in and out in a jiffy. I am not sure which doctors practice out of this location-which is a professional building attached to St. Joseph's hospital-but the activity for what I needed was excellent. Don't know about everyone else but my experience was tip top.
