Dr. Kapur has a rating of 4.9 at Northwestern from over 800 patients so I'm surprised at the rating here. Dr Kapur treated my mother for Parkinson's and neuropathy. Unlike other neurologists, he came out to greet my mother and then walk with her to the exam room so he could observe her. He spoke directly to my mother and not to me, unlike other doctors when dealing with elderly. He was informative, looking into adaptive devices as the Need arose. Then one day, he asked me about my father's tremors (my father came to all of my mom's appointments). I explained that they were hereditary and his primary said there was little that could be done. He said there's always something that could be done. He outlined different approaches and explained that we'd try one, see if it helped. It didn't, however with the second meds, the tremors were nearly unnoticeable and my dad was able to enjoy bridge and going out to eat with friends without being self conscious. I've recommended him several times to friends of my parents and all were happy with him. He's compassionate, knowledgeable, and willing to try different things. read more
