Quality, quality, quality…read more Frank is the most thoughtful, intelligent, and qualified acupuncturist I have found in the DC area. I've seen several other individuals for massage, acupuncture, and dry needling. But I have always gone back to Frank because he is the best. I've been seeing Frank for over four years now. Specifically, Frank has played a key role in my healing process for my shoulder and back injuries and numbness in my arms. We focus a good deal on dry needling on my neck, shoulder, and back. I find that he is the most careful and smart with dry needling. I have been to physical therapists and chiropractors who try to dry needle, and it's scary how ill equipped they were. Go see Frank. Whether you're an athlete or a stressed out profession (or like me...both!), you will walk away better in mind and body after seeing Frank.

He also sold me an herbal remedy that can be used as a tea, which is great (though I still rely on my OTC meds when the pollen count gets really high). I've gone to four different acupuncture practitioners and Frank is the best. Within minutes of getting the needles I fall into a deep relaxing sleep.I usually get the Tui Na service, so the massage feels like an extra bonus. It always surprises me that the whole treatment is only an hour. It feels like longer. For those who had trouble reaching him on the phone, I would recommend email. He has more than one office and no assistant. I haven't tried calling him, but he's always been very responsive to email, sending a reply either the same day or next day.

It's a small room so be sure to sign up for the classes online or using their app! We had maybe 10 people and I felt crowded. I was told they'll accept maybe 20-25 people though I don't know where they'll go to fit comfortably! I found this place from a friend and because I got a groupon deal with her. Started off in a beginners class by Dawna. She was great! Super attentive, explained everything in detail and made you feel welcomed. I learned so much even though this wasn't my first time! She corrected my basic poses and it will help me for future classes! I'll definitely be here again and step up my game! They have a ton of different levels offered and convenient times! I can't wait to meet other instructors or even stick to the same! If she teaches a higher level.

This studio had been my home for many years, until I became an instructor myself. They then welcomed me back as a teacher, which was an incredible honor- to teach at the very same studio where I began to fall in love with the practice of yoga. I highly recommend this studio. While I no longer teach here due to distance, I love all the other instructors and the classes they offer! The entire staff is cognizant of and involved in social justice, diversity, and inclusivity and are passionate about connecting with each student to create a welcoming environment. Love this place!

I came to Dr. Flinner off a recommendation from my Chiropractor. I can't say enough good things…read moreabout Justin and My Metro Medicine. In short, I haven't felt this good in over a decade. I have had lower and middle back pain for years, and no amount of physical therapy (stretching, massage, exercise, dry needling, heat and cold therapy) has really helped over the long haul. Yes, temporarily they help, but they were treating the symptoms, not the problem which is tight erector muscles and DEEP knots along both sides of my spine (everyone says it feels like a braided rope). This led me to seek alternatives, and thank goodness I did. Justin has been fantastic. Each visit he takes the time to listen to my issues, take the right action (cupping, maxa, needles in different trigger points), and I can tell you that after THE FIRST VISIT I immediately felt better. I could actually feel the knots releasing during the treatment. Best of all, after just the second treatment I went for a whole week without pain...the first time in 15 years! Bottom line, Justin is fantastic and you won't be disappointed. He has a customer for life in me.

If it wasn't for the welcoming atmosphere and convenient location of Woodley Park Yoga, I don't know if I would've kept up my practice. As a newbie to yoga, I take the beginner class on Saturdays at 11am and the guided quarter primary class on Tuesdays at 7pm, both taught by Elsie. She has a calming voice, goes over the poses for new folks, and encourages you through the more difficult poses. The beginner class is easier if you've at least tried yoga at another studio or at home with YouTube videos. Be prepared to sweat a little! The studio is sizeable and allows 13-15 people max depending on the class. You can store your yoga mat in the back room, and there are wipes for your mat. I don't usually see blocks or towels readily available, but ask if you need them. The studio is on the third floor of a four-story building in Woodley Park, above Uni Sushi (no elevator). There's a small bathroom in the back of the studio. If I can think of only one downside, it's not being able to pay for classes online in advance, even though you can reserve your spot online. You need to go to the studio and purchase classes directly with the teacher, which takes time before/after class if you're waiting for others to pay too. Better to just buy a pack of 5, 10, or 20 classes if you plan to come back regularly. Checking in relies a bit on the honor system: you write your name on a card and the number of classes, then cross each number off when you show up to class. Whether your a seasoned yogi or a newbie like me, I highly recommend dropping in Woodley Park Yoga for a class!
