Anyone with chronic pain should try acupuncture for its immediate and long lasting relief. Acupuncture technique works with the body, not against it, the healing can begin. You'll know for yourself with the first treatment. A newcomer to acupuncture will do well here. Kevin takes a full history, the answering of the questions is itself a healing process. Pain is there for a reason, your body is telling you something. As surely as it has gotten you into a knot, the knot can be undone. Methodically, acupuncture creates focus which allows for relaxation. The placement of the needles sends healing energy throughout the body, it's nothing short of incredible how well the body responds. Many times a person will cringe at the sound of the word needles. The needles are small, you'll barely feel it. The effect of the placement sends warm healing energy that un-knots the disturbance. The healing can begin. The location of Healing Support is excellent, a few walkable blocks from SS metro, it's down the street from Tastee Diner on Cameron, public parking lot, but there's usually something on the street. It's an elevator building, totally easy access. The cost is equivalent to what a doctors appointment would be. With luck, acupuncture is covered by your medical insurance, but if it's not, demand that they cover it. This is what we can do as consumers....bug the insurance companies to cover acupuncture which is far and away the better protocol for pain. As we increase our knowledge about acupuncture, we can demand change--acupuncture should be available to all. It's not yet covered by Medicare---change that. If Medicare covers drugs, surely Medicare should cover a helpful, harmless, effective treatment.

Kula and our physical therapist Megan Hartnett. Jonathan's assessment was incredibly thorough and thoughtful. I reached out after calling several places but wasn't getting my questions answered. I left a message and Jonathan called back within an hour. He made time for us to come in the next day (even though he was booked solid) and even offered to meet me and my son in front of the building in case I needed help getting into the office. He and Megan Hartnett took the time to understand my son's injury, read all of the reports, asked pertinent questions, and then proceeded to explain to us the plan and process for his recovery. His first priority was getting my son mobile and moving forward safely and confidently. That level of attention gave us tremendous reassurance during what had been a very stressful experience for our family. Megan Hartlett has been equally exceptional throughout his rehabilitation. She has approached his physical therapy with such care, patience, and skill, while also knowing when to challenge him and help him recognize how much progress he is making. And he goes hands-on whether it be massage or be cupping. And then gives you exercises and make sure you don't leave until you understand what you have to do.
