Just started with Dr. Rosenberg since late last year. This office is the traditional setup where…read morethe Dr will listen and talk to you. They do not book appts on top of each other where the Dr spare you mere seconds or pass you off to their PA(s). I've only been here 2 x so far and Dr. Rosenberg have been very attentative. The staff ( person that draws blood/ekg, etc) were different both time so this a negative if they are constantly changing staff. The one challenge with this office is no one answers the phone. you must leave a message for a call back. But in order ot leave message, you must listen through a very looooong recorded message where they run thru all of the options "true emergency" "ambulance number" "oncall doctor number", etc. etc. The leave a message option is alllllllll the way at the end of the recording. This becomes a huge problem where you have to sit on the phone. Frankly it is very time consuming to even have to make a call these days or play phone tags. Most dr office have email address where you can simply email. here is is fax or snailmail. Hope email option can be implemented soon. Appts can be made thru zocdoc so this is helpful!

I think people need more than that in a general practitioner. My only complaint is when I went to get a thyroid scan I had to call him numerous times to get his feedback on the scan. The whole practice seems to lack compassion and familiarity with the patient. Overall I probably won't stay with this doctor but I've been to worse.

Horrible experience with his doctor and his practice. For starters his staff is extremely rude. I…read morewent to him because I saw many review on zocdoc saying how great Dr Sandberg is and I figured he would be able to help me plus he took my health insurance. At first it I liked him. I had an endoscopy done at a facility in Massapequa by Dr. Sandberg, everything went fine. When he wanted me to get a colonoscopy he decided I should have it done at New Hyde park endoscopy located on n the same building as his office in New Hyde park. Well after my colonoscopy I received a surprised bill for not just one but TWO colonoscopes!!!! THATS FRAUD!! I had been under the impression that my insurance was covered in this facility he wanted me to go to because the first facility was covered and I figured he would have to go to a facility that was in network with my insurance. Turned out it wasn't covered and no one ever informed me about that. Which is so wrong ! The billing department billed both my insurances with the same claim. THAT IS FRAUD!!! Obviously they declined them bc the facility was out of network for one insurance and my medical insurance doesn't cover ambulatory procedures. I tried to dispute it right away and I never received a call back from the billing department. I then started to receive bills from a collection agency for the TWO colonoscopes! THAT IS FRAUD!!! Not only did this office charge me twice for a procedure I had done once but they sent it to collection agency wrong! I was receiving calls from the collection agency 5x a day from different phone numbers for months. I was being harassed to pay a bill that was WRONG! Eventually the collection agency changed it to one colonoscopy and continued to harass me. This whole situation had caused me great distress and on top of it was extremely sick and the doctor was useless and told me I was fine and probably have IBS. I continued to be sick. I lost 40 pounds in less than a year. That's not normal and definitely not typical with IBS. I even expressed to him that IBD runs in my family. There was absolutely no regard for anything that I told him and instead I was left with a surprise bill from the facility he insisted I go to. #traumatizing

The office is only open a few hours a week and communication is extremely poor -- calls and emails rarely get returned. Before my first appointment I clearly explained the medications I've been taking for years and was assured it wouldn't be an issue. After becoming a patient, the doctor started giving me a hard time about refills, even though I've responsibly taken these medications for decades with regular blood work. When one medication had a shortage, instead of helping find a comparable alternative, I was told to find another doctor to prescribe it. Shortly after doing that, I received an email saying he could no longer be my doctor. I ended up finding a new physician. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice.
