I had the best time at my Photography session with my cats!…read more Jonathon, the photographer (not sure if I spelled his name correctly), was amazing and so sweet, soft spoken, and patient. Laura was super warming and friendly, we really connected with each other because we own the same cat breed adopted through an animal shelter. Overall, amazing experience! I wish I could've gone all out and gotten the larger portrait sized, but unfortunately not in the best financial position right now. I was able to get the framing and an 8x10 of just my 2 cats. So happy and grateful to have seen this opportunity on my Facebook feed.

I had a family portrait done 17 years ago. There are things I really do not like about Kramer. The…read morefirst is there strict policy of not sharing anything digital. Yes, I get that there "real" product is a combination of a digital foundation with a human touch of finishing, but I still, I personally like to have the source material and this is simply not going to happen here. Also, there pricing and marketing. 17 years ago I remember getting a discount offer on the purchase of a luxury car. It seemed significant, but I do not recall exactly where the sticker shock came in with the process, but post sitting we were in it deep enough to just say yes to the price. Over the years the portrait faded. And, not all of it. For some reason the skin tone of the faces faded whereas the arms did not. It was never placed in direct sunlight and even if it was this doesn't seem like a pure exposure issue since it was selective fading. Moving out of state and thinking about moving the portrait I wondered why I should even worry about taking it as it was really that bad. For some reason I thought about reaching out to Kramer. The hardest part of the process was getting a response from Facebook Messenger. It seemed to be the only digital method of contact and I really wasn't in the mood to waste time on the phone. Eventually, I got someone's ear and that turned into speaking with the owner. Okay, with all of this so far, you would think this would be a one star review! Well, eventually they found the original digital file which predated a change in their systems which made it harder than it should be, but they found it. Then, replacing it wasn't even a conversation. The only question they asked is if it was in the original frame. It was, so that made things easier. It took a while to get it back but the result was amazing and possibly better than new. This made the cost, the lack of personally having the digital backup, etc, all secondary. And, no, the photo I posted with this review is not the portrait in question! This review is posted to the Hillsborough and Red Bank locations since the original sitting was in Hillsborough (along with the faded drop off) and the new pickup was in Red Bank.

We just received our photos from our wedding on 3/21 and all we could say is WOW. My wife and I…read morewere just in awe of how amazing the photos looked, especially the portraits which looked like a work of art. We were assigned Reena and Roderick as our main photographer and videographer, and Ben and Tuck as the secondary photographer and videographer. They gave such clear direction to ensure the photos came out the way we wanted. All 4 of them were respectful, professional and very accommodating. We had an extensive list of photo combinations we wanted with the bridal party, our parents, wedding sponsors, and extended family and the Dean Michaels team managed to capture every single moment. I'd ask Reena last minute if we could take pictures at different locations and she would be so accommodating and the photos came out perfect. We are so glad we went with Dean Michaels. It's always tough picking through hundreds of wedding photo companies but my wife and I really liked the style of Dean Michaels which provided a good mix of dramatic and traditional photos without being too over the top. We highly recommend Dean Michaels if you're undecided who to go with for your wedding or any other events!

The entire process was incredibly flexible and Dean Michaels Studio had prompt answers to all of our questions. Thank you so much Dean Michaels Studio and to our amazing photographer, Laura! 10 out of 10.

Cassie was the photographer for my rehearsal dinner and wedding on June 21st + June 22nd, 2013…read more After having engagement photo's captured with a different photographer who I felt wasn't a good fit for my husband and I, I met Cassie through a mutual friend. From our first meeting I was very comfortable working with her. She has the kind of personality that is professional, yet very friendly and approachable. She came to our apartment for our first consultation and patiently listened to all of my preferences for photo's that I was most interested in having captured on our special day. The day of the wedding she was absolutely great! She met up with my husband and his groomsmen and took a bunch of great shots of their group. It was a perfect mixture of candid, serious, and funny/casual poses. Before the wedding while I was getting ready, she was great at running between where my bridal party was getting ready and where my husband and his groomsmen were, in order to capture as many photo's as possible. The entire day I was completely comfortable and relaxed, knowing she was doing a great job. I think when working with a photographer the most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident with them; and I definitely did with Cassie. Since the wedding she has been nothing but responsive, helpful, and professional. My husband and I already ordered a small album that she put together for my parents as a Christmas present. We plan on ordering a full wedding album from Cassie sometime in the near future, and we are looking forward to working with Cassie again for other big events that we want to have professional photo's taken. Thanks again Cassie, you rock!

Cassie the best; words truly cannot truly describe how talented, dedicated, and hardworking she is…read more- only photos can show that. I had recently hired Cassie to capture my girlfriends' surprise party, and let me tell you, I am still in awe. From the moment I contacted Cassie, with my absurdly redundant, and overly anal-borderline-psychotic ideas and instructions, she made it clear as day, that she will make it happen. She showed up at the event space with her full gear an hour early to set-up her gear, photo-booth, and get a feel for the space and lighting. When my girlfriend and I arrived, all of our guests had already been well acquainted with Cassie - and as our door opened, the party roared, "SURPRISE"! and out popped Cassie like a paparazzi and *FLASH* *FLASH*. For the next 4 hours, Cassie didn't miss a thing. She was EVERYWHERE, but at the same time, nowhere. I mean, I don't recall her ever being in the way, or stopping/nagging anyone to pose for pictures or anything - but she was clearly there... All 500 photo's I received are proof of this. Which is another thing that blows my mind. I know with previous photographers, generally only 5-10% of the photos they take, are useable and nice-looking photo's. Cassie sent me 500, yes 500, INCREDIBLE photos. Every photo could be an album cover photo... I sent the photos to everyone who attended the party, and everyone was absolutely amazed. The reactions to the photos, brings back every ounce of laughter we experienced the night of. This is exactly what a photograph should do. These aren't photos you can get anywhere else. You cannot get photos like this from your iPhone. You cannot get photos like this from your Canon 5D. You cannot get photos like this from most other photographers out there. What separates Cassie and her art from everyone else is her passion. You can tell every single hire she gets, is an adventure. I saw it that night, and I see it in every photo she took. I'd happily hire and recommend Cassie to anyone and everyone looking for someone who wants the best photographer and the best results. Every photo she takes tells a story and is full of life.
