We found Danila and Lana after a lot of research. Right from the minute we connected with them, the professionalism was visible. They were communicative, extremely detail oriented and prompt with responses. But all this pales in comparison to the work. They were at the wedding and blended in like friends and the videos they created were WOOWWWW!! We were of course expecting great work but they blew us away. We did have some changes but what makes it better is that they didn't just make those changes but somehow improved it and made it even better. I hired Danila for my wedding and I wish I went with another photographer. I found him on the knot and Instagram and I thought his photos were unique and beautiful...and they are. However he's not an easy person to work with. He had more of a Prima Donna attitude than anyone in the room. He was critical towards my MOH and best man and made passive aggressive statements. He made everyone feel uncomfortable and my bridal party and both my family my in-laws kept asking where I found this man. He didn't take any photos of my MOH and best friend making a speech and focused on other people in the wedding party and giving my other MOH and best man (I know I know I have two sets) all the attention. He didn't tell us to get a park permit for our pre-nuptials and we had no idea we had to...and he ended up yelling at the parks manager and almost had us kicked out. Also, he didn't try to make us feel better by giving us some additional time for the time lost in the park and wanted to leave right on the dot when my tea ceremony was starting...which is huge for my culture. He also ended up giving us 300 something photos and for the price we paid...it's ridiculous. People have 1000 plus photos and he gave us less than half that amount. Some photos were really nice but some...the contrast was way too much and my acne scars were highlighted and he didn't even asked me if I wanted it smoothed out. When I email him about status of the album he gave me a "you're not the only bride I'm working with" type of response and it really made our experience with him even worst. If you guys don't care about who the photographer is and wants his style of photos then hire him, otherwise there are many photographers who are nicer to work with who produce just as good if not better photos. read more

I can't say enough great things about Danila's pictures. He is an incredible artist with an amazing gift for capturing emotion and love in unique ways. His Photographs are inspiring. We hired him for our engagement photos and Wedding. I am so beyond happy with my Engagement photos, we just had our wedding so I cannot wait to see how they came out. 2015 was very memorable day in my life. The BEST memory would be my wedding day and the WORST memory would be working with Danila Mednikov. I wouldn't post this comment, but I met my girlfriend who was using his at her wedding and was VERY disappointed with him. I've been reading previous reviews and very surprised with them, because they are far beyond the truth. 1) He is not easy to work with type of person. On your wedding day you will be busy and stressed out, and annoying Danila is the last person you want to be around with. He is asking you a lot of questions, he is awkward with your guests, he is very needy (he needs food, transportation, food for his wife, additional table for his equipment, etc.) 2) He is very egoistic. I believe he thinks that he is a BIG star in the internet and social media. So, he likes to dictate his rules. He won't treat you as a client, but will make you feel like he is doing you a favor. 3) He is dishonest. He promises you one day to send you the pictures, but delays it. He asked us one cost for his services but at the day of the event, he asked as for additional cost for not posting our pictures on the Internet. Therefore my overall rating for Damila Mednikov Photography will be "STAY AWAY". 1 star. read more

Danila was spectacular. I couldn't be happier with our photos. He truly captured the best day of our lives in the most beautiful way. Danila was also extremely calm and helpful throughout the day. This meant the world to me. Things were hectic while i was getting ready and his and Lana's presence helped to smooth things out. Danila was a pleasure to work with! He photographed me and my husband at our legal ceremony at the Manhattan courthouse. He took many beautiful natural and posed photographs of us both inside and outside the courthouse. He really knows how to capture all the right moments for a couple that is posing for engagement or marriage pictures. He sent us all of the photos in a timely manner and edited the nicest ones. After many weeks of searching for a photographer that would fit our overall style and aesthetic, my husband and I came across Danila. His beautiful pictures, epic scope, natural approach, and gorgeous incorporation of surroundings blew us away. We couldn't have been more nervous before our engagement shoot (How do you stand? If you are looking for natural and relaxed photos, then Danila is the way to go. I did not want the standard engagement photos and when I found Danila I knew that would not happen. I wanted to experience my fiance' and I in our natural surroundings and just being together and he was able to capture that beautifully.
