Opened 6/29/2019 and was soooo delish!!

I just opened and tried the 2012 vintage pinot and it was sooooo delicious! However wasn't the same on the 2nd day. So make sure to drink it all once opened! Can't wait to open the 2011 soon!

I really enjoyed the experience of this winery!!! So down to earth and their selections are delicious! It was awesome to taste their award winning wines and AGREE with their ranking!!! Archie, Harry, and Meghan were the sweetest English Retrievers and added to the vibe! Highly recommend this experience! And even brought a bottle home!!!

We booked a wine tour that specialized in smaller, family oriented vineyards. This was my favorite. The wine-maker was authentic, knowledgeable and engaged with us on why he grew what he grew, the wines made and his approach. His tastings were generous, his fee waived if you bought wines, which we did, and he made our time their relaxed. I wish we had our mid-day meal there and had had a chance to walk some of the vineyard and learn more. I do not drink enough to join the wine clubs but will log on to order the chardonnay when he makes for his "mum". I am pleased to say we enjoyed the Rose wine on a hot LA day but packed one to take home - I will have to order more of that as well.

Five stars for this one man wine operation! This place is so different from the vineyards I have visited in the past with expansive lawns, barrel rooms, and wedding-worthy photos. A tasting at Peter Cellars is like opening up a bottle on your best friend's porch on a summer day. No fuss. No muss. Kicking off your shoes is highly recommended. The tasting room is a few feet away from Peter's home where his wife and two point five children live. They also have a dog. A German, French, and US flag flies in the background and the sounds of 50 Cent fill the air. I felt like I was in an episode of the Wonder Year....REMIX!!!! Besides his wife, kids, and dog, Peter's true love is red wines. We enjoyed four of his award winning wines and were absolutely floored by all of them. I wish I had more time here but since we were a part of a tour group our time was limited. Reservations for this vineyard is highly recommended.

Peter Cellars wines were delicious! The property was beautiful. We loved all the dogs on property as well, they were sweethearts. The experience was awesome. I loved it so much I signed up for their wine club! Highly recommend coming for a tasting!

Intimate, personal, attentive and a friendly experience. Enjoy the wines that are not available in stores, play with Rupert the dog, hear Peter's story of how a boy from Wimbledon England ended up managing a winery in California and soak in the excellent atmosphere.

His sweet dog likes to play and is very friendly!

Peter and his property are one of a kind! He started from scratch and educated himself about the craft and industry. He understands every aspect of making wine and the wine he creates definitely shows! Peter is reserved and humble. It's amazing how grounded he is due to the many accolades and awards he has! He has a bottle that has achieved a "double gold" award (that I bought today). A gold award entails a bunch of judges voting a wine through to become gold. Based off my understanding, a DOUBLE gold means every judge voting has given your wine the highest marks! His property is homey and comfortable. There is a beautiful patio with many tables and an authentic Sonoma vibe. It is absolutely serene. While my group and I did tastings, Peter allowed us to taste his brand new Cabernet Sauvignon. It was just as good as his award winning Pinot Noir, vintage 2013. I will definitely come back and highly recommend paying him a visit. You cannot buy his wine in normal retail stores, so do it while you're there !!

A wonderful and intimate place that puts out some really great wines. Chris had heard a podcast that highly recommended a stop by this place. We called ahead to book an appointment, especially since we were in the area on Labor Day weekend. They were kind enough to squeeze us in between parties. We get to the property and call in to have them buzz us in. The gate is lifted and you pull into the driveway. There is a house with a good-sized building and patio to the right, which is their tasting room. You feel like you are pulling into a friend's house, which happens to be surrounded by rows and rows of beautiful vines. We sat outside on the patio just soaking in the beauty. We were the only ones there because it was their breathing room between large parties. Lucy was our lovely guide through the tasting. The wines are excellent. They were definitely the top of our list for this trip. Peter himself came over later to talk to us and tell us about his wines and his history. Peter is a Brit who came over here to make the dream happen. It has been a lot of hard work, but the fruits of it all we get to enjoy and it is quite delicious! Lucy and Peter were both great to talk to. We also had Rupert their lovely wine dog at our feet. Such a relaxing, laid back time. I really wish we had gotten to spend more time there, but we were jumping between other appointments we made, so unfortunately had to move on. We immediately signed up for the wine club though and have been able to enjoy bottles all fall. Our first order came promptly after our trip, so we could continue on that "good vacation" high for a little bit longer.

We were so grateful to still be able to experience our wine tasting here. Leane reached out to us prior to our visit and let us know what to expect on the day of our tasting and asked if we had any dietary restrictions. The hospitality at Sangiacomo Family Wines is one of the many things that makes this wine tasting experience extra special. We were warmly welcomed by our wine tasting host and educator, Vlada, as soon as we arrived. We enjoyed a splash of Sauvignon Blanc that was amazing. Everyone that works here was so friendly and welcoming. Along the visit, you will see a collection of other wine labels from other wineries in Sonoma County and Napa Valley that get their wines from Sangiacomo vineyards. The amount of different wineries that get their fruit from Sangiacomo vineyards is impressive. Before being seated, we soaked in the stunning views of their vineyards on the property. We enjoyed a delicious spread of pastries, cheeses, and charcuterie, which we enjoyed as part of our visit. This winery is known for their exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Everything we sipped was absolutely amazing, and we loved all the wines we tried. Vlada was an exceptional host and we learned so much about this winery. We learned that this is a family owned winery that started out as a pear farm. It changed to a winery and love that it has remained a family owned winery over the years. Our tasting was cozy and we loved all the festive decor. The property has rustic trucks and a tractor on the property that they decorate during the different seasons. We were blown away by how much we loved all of their wines. We purchased a few bottles of wines to enjoy at a later date. An all around exceptional wine experience in Sonoma! Highly recommend to all!

My adoring sidekick and I were invited to a private wine tasting and that experience poured straight into our memory like a perfectly decanted dream. Gary Brooks himself was there, the soft-spoken sorcerer behind Brooks Note Winery. His wines didn't whisper, they sang. Balanced. Elegant. Honest. The kind of Pinot that makes your boots buckle and your palate perk up like a hound on the trail. Somewhere between the third pour and the second "this is amazing," he told us we should stop by if we were ever in California. So, like any pair of polite Texans with a thirst for the finer things in life, we showed up. And let me tell you: the Brooks Note tasting room in Petaluma is a rustic-modern temple to the wine gods. The exposed beams, gleaming ductwork, and warm wood details make you want to cozy up and swirl your glass. It's the kind of place where your taste buds grow up and your Instagram feed gets a glow-up. We had reservations for a late afternoon tasting and were greeted by none other than Lucy, the softest, fluffiest winery pup in California. She strolled over like she owned the place, and honestly, I think she does. My adoring sidekick gave her the full greeting: head rub, affirming tone, instant friendship secured. Then came the Pinot Flight Tasting Menu, a five-part aria of California terroir: * 2022 Monroe Vineyard: Fruit-forward with a hint of the forest floor, like autumn bottled and ready to dance. * 2023 Russian River Valley: Silky as a tuxedoed lounge singer. Red fruit, spice, and grace. * 2022 Weir Vineyard: Earthy, old-soul depth. The kind of wine that feels like it remembers the first time someone planted vines in California. * 2023 Petaluma Gap: Cool, coastal, and fresh like ocean wind meeting orchard breeze. * 2022 Panther Ridge: Lush, structured, with a finish so long it could anchor a ballad. We were mid-way through the second glass when Gary appeared like a magician stepping onstage after the opening act. He welcomed us, remembered Fort Worth, and then proceeded to give us the full behind-the-scenes tour: the tasting room, the barrel room stacked high with rich oak dreams (no clue what kind of wood, but it smelled like wine-soaked heaven), and the metal vats where fermentation magic bubbles into being. It's one thing to drink a wine. It's another to see its origin story. We eventually made our way back to the table, finished our tasting, then slipped into that late afternoon golden glow. Before leaving, my wife said her goodbyes to Lucy with the kind of fondness usually reserved for lifelong friends or the last bite of a perfect dessert. We didn't take any bottles with us because we already had some back home in Texas. As we stepped outside into the California sun, I said, "Their wine bottles don't gather dust, they disappear gracefully after dinner." My wife rolled her eyes and muttered, "You're aging like wine, all right. Getting drier by the year." She's not wrong. Final thought? This is the kind of tasting that doesn't end when you leave the building. It lingers in your memory like a perfectly aged vintage. TL;DR: Petaluma charm meets Pinot perfection. Balanced, elegant wines served in a spacious, welcoming room. Lucy the wine pup deserves her own label. Gary Brooks delivers not only extraordinary wine, but an unforgettable experience. The only thing smoother than the Pinot is my wife's way of saying, "That's enough, dear." Brooks Note isn't a stop, it's a chapter worth savoring. Bonus Dad Joke: What did the grape say when it got stepped on? Nothing. It just let out a little wine... but probably not as gracefully as a Brooks Note Pinot.
