We came to B Wise because of the 2 for 1 tasting offer for those with the Priority Wine Pass! Tastings are usually $25/person here. We went to the tasting room in Kenwood which is in a great location right next to VJB where many people grab a bite to eat. There are some amazing wineries and vineyards in this area. The interior design of this tasting room is beautiful and well decorated, we sat on a bright blue L-shaped velvet couch to enjoy our wines. The host we had guiding us through our flight was so sweet, bubbly, and clearly has a passion for B Wise and wine in general. She helped us have a lovely experience! The wines were not our favorites out of the wineries we visited this day, but we still had a great time trying out a new winery in this area and learning all about B Wise!

Bonnie was amazing. Such knowledge of the wine and wonderful recommendations. Such a beautiful tasting room. Thank you for the experience

Truly loved this winery. From their cow style couches, to the one on one attention from Jackie, this place knows how to do it just right. A small winery but the one on one attention you get, the explanation of the wines, it truly makes a difference when you step in. It is also greatly located next to a place with great food so I would recommend this winery either before lunch or before heading out for the day.

The cave tasting at B Wise is a definite must-do...once. We made our trip to B Wise in August 2018 and had a great time. The winery has some amazing views, but the tasting in the caves is something that was very unique and worthwhile. Additionally, the wines were very good. The $65 tasting fee would be waived with a six bottle purchase. That's a little steep. However, the fee is definitely worth the quality of wine and the cave experience. We happily paid the fee and went our way. I will say that I doubt I will re-visit B Wise. While the experience was great, I feel that it's a one-time see. Maybe we would come back after a few years go by - or if we bring guests that are interested in doing a cave tasting. Our 2018 CA trip consisted of the following wineries: Hamel, Iron Horse, B. Wise, Repris, Bedrock, Del Dotto, Domaine Chandon, Viader, Amizetta, and Hall. Feel free to check out my upcoming reviews of those as well.

Kurt provided an incredible experience for us. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful narrative of the history of the vineyard. We had a great tasting in their beautiful caves and did ultimately join a wine club with them. If you can access this winery, this is a must do in Sonoma!

Oh. My. Gawd. Stop trying to decide among all the other mediocre or overrated wineries. Go here. Join! Set up a private cave tour if you can (members only). Thank you! We will be back!

Amazing place! We got the private tasting in the cave and that was not like any other experience we have had wine tasting! Please note that this is different than their wine tasting room. The wine is amazing and I love that we were able to join their wine club so that we can share with friends back home. Josh was awesome and spent a lot of time with us. He really knows his stuff and helped to educate us even more. Great experience! I can't wait to come back again!

This was our second visit to B Wise in the town of Kenwood. We first learned of the Brion and B Wise wines from John F'n Caldwell. We like the style of the wine and think it is some of the best found in Sonoma. The tasting lounge is found in Kenwood on the Sonoma Highway. It is a funky little storefront with a bar, tables, chairs and a couch that resembles something from the Ponderosa. Our host was Sunshine. She treated us to 8-9 different wines, cheeses, crackers, nuts and cold water. We enjoyed every wine we tried. The B Wise label was tasty and the Brion very elegant. The wines are priced right based on quality. The winemaker was formerly at Silver Oak and knows his craft. They have wine caves at the winery but we have yet to visit there. Outstanding wine, comfortable environment and friendly staff, this sums up our visit to B Wise in Sonoma.

Bar tastings didn't require a reservation for groups under 6, while the others did. The bar tasting flight came with 4 wines, though there was a welcome prosecco pour not listed, as well as a few off menu pours we got to try. I didn't personally love the wines, but I'm not always huge on Italian wines. Both of the friends I was tasting with ended up taking bottles home, one of them quite a few! They have a kitchen, gelato shop, and a small market located in the tasting room. The gelato shop and kitchen were pointed out to us from a far, but we did get to explore the marketplace and the fun goodies in there. Along with the deli case food items, they also had jarred pastas and sauces to go. The piazza was a cool area, but on a hot day I was glad we were tasting inside with all the heat from the cement. They had some areas under a trellis that were nice and fully shaded, that would be my go to if tasting outside here.

Founded by winemaker and owner Michael Muscardini, the winery beautifully embodies his vision of bringing a sense of "la dolce vita" to Sonoma wine country by celebrating great wine and the simple pleasures of life. Open here in this historical 160 year old school house for over ten years, and in operation for over a decade and a half, Muscardini Cellars is most celebrated for their Sangiovese wines as their grapes for this varietal are sourced exclusively to them and them alone providing for a uniqueness that cannot be found anywhere else. What brought a friend and I here for a warm winter weekend wine tasting was the fact that Muscardini Cellars was one of over fifty wineries participating in Sonoma Sips for the second year in a row where local wineries throughout Sonoma County offer walk-in visitors a tasting deal of three to four wine pours for only fifteen dollars, and in this day and age is a real treat. With plenty of parking and plenty of open seating both indoors and outside on their front patio that overlooks the Sonoma Highway, tasting room associates Nicole and Bethany treated us like VIPs. With a welcoming splash of their 2024 Pinot Grigio which was crisp and cool and had distinctive notes of peaches and melons throughout, it was a easy breezy way to start our special tasting. For our second pour, we enjoyed their signature 2021 Sangiovese, which is sourced from nearby Alice Vineyards, which we learned was started by a woman named Sandy and sources her grapes exclusively to Muscardini Cellars. This wine leans more approachable with earthier notes and more rustic thanks to being grounded in character rather than a bold, Brunello-style expression. A nice Sangiovese that is balanced and easy to enjoy, which highlights its nuance and structure without overwhelming the palate especially when paired with a fresh margarita pizza or gnocchi. Our third pour was their 2023 Barbera wine, which was sourced from nearby Mendocino County. This "daytime" red wine was soft and elegant through the mid-palate, giving it a luxurious feel that balanced what is typically a bolder, more forward style of red. Its structure and earthier character would pair beautifully with traditional dishes from Italy's Piedmont region, especially those featuring truffles or porcini mushrooms. What we thought would be our final pour was their 2019 Fortuna, which is a wine that represents a friendship and collaboration between winemakers Michael Muscardini and Brian Wise, who started B. Wise next door. We learned from Bethany that Muscardini started his vineyards only as decor on his property but a neighbor told him he should start a winery with his harvested grapes. Fortuna represents a combination of grapes that Muscardini and B. Wise have over the past few years. With a little bit of everything, this super tuscan wine is geared towards a palate of American wine as it is not heavy in tannins and is more acid friendly, especially when served with a creamy herb or garlicky entrée. After our Classico Tasting Experience wrapped up, Bethany was kind enough to pour us a sample of their 2022 Zinfandel, which proved to be both approachable and well-balanced, not to mention reasonably priced at $58 a bottle. At Muscardini Cellars, the red wines are crafted with impressive balance and pair beautifully with hearty dishes. The tasting room itself is gorgeous, complete with an outdoor deck that overlooks Sonoma Valley and the nearby highway, creating a relaxed and scenic setting for enjoying their wines. Between experiences like the Classico tasting, participation in promotions such as Sonoma Sips, and their ongoing wine pairing dinners, it's easy to see why Muscardini Cellars continues to thrive, and why their success will carry on for many years to come.

Parking lot was empty and thought they were closed but decided to take a peek anyways, and lo and behold the lights were on and the door open. I was greeted by a super cool dude who didn't seem the typical tight and stuffy wine country host. I was an able to sit at a bar setting, told the details of their tasting (price, tasting line-up, fees waived if wine purchased etc). For a $25 fee (which was waived at the end cuz I always buy a couple of bottles) I was able to taste at least 5 different wines with a bonus at the end. I was also given a small ramekin of macadamia nuts, which I've never had with a wine tasting. But totally works because these nuts are very hearty and full of rich oils which counter the acidic and tannic nature of wines. Dude then plays some tunes from his personal playlist as their main sound system seemed to not be working that day and it was straight music that I personally dig. Lol. And for a full hour no one else came in which was a new experience for me. We just sat there as he poured and educated me on each of their wines and we just casually talked about random cool things, so not bogged down with wine banter. At the end I walked out with 3 new bottles, wine country air on blast and a nice dinner looming just a half mile down the road. One of the best laid back wine tasting experiences I've ever had. #luckyducky
