I will admit that the front desk receptionist is a bit unprofessional and rude, especially over the phone. I have been seeing Dr. Chehrenama and I recommend her to anyone. Dr Chehrenama is very nice and very knowledgeable and she take a very proactive approach, attempting to find the root of the problem instead of just controlling the symptoms, which I appreciate. She is also very understanding of the preference of using alternative (herbal) remedies instead of pumping you up with different prescriptions. She is a very good doctor.

I chose them because they have 2 Physician Assistants (Deane and Tiffany) and as a PA myself, I knew this would be a great, forward thinking, organized practice. Hands down, this is one of the best medical practices I've been to as a patient and seen as a clinician. As canned as I know this sounds, they changed my life. My first appointment was a little frazzled due to a scheduling error and I'll admit, I was concerned. But, after my 2nd visit, I knew I was in good hands. Someone commented the front desk receptionist wasn't pleasant and there are a few (mainly in the back) who seem rather unhappy. Kathy is the main receptionist, is friendly, and great at her job. Deane and Tiffany are the two PAs- They are both incredibly intelligent, friendly, and great clinicians. Very calming and concerned with your care, diagnosis, and devoted to solving your problem. Highly recommend both of them. Dr. Chehrenama is my neurologist & fabulous. When I first met her, I felt she was a little brusque, but after seeing her more, I know that she is just an very intelligent physician whose brain works quickly. She manages to find the tiniest detail that could be the culprit while keeping in mind the big picture. She is very empathetic and wants to solve your problem in the best & quickest way possible. Great, great doc. I have recommended this practice to both friends and colleagues and will continue to do so. They are awesome!

This review is about Sam Marco, MD…read more My provider left, so I had to transition care to a new provider. Despite showing up to the appointment with his computer open in front of him and being given time to use his computer when he first walked in without interruption, he never glanced at my chart. I'm a simple patient who had been doing monthly visits for the last year for one medication. Maximum time needed for chart review: 30 seconds. As he he began interacting with me and asking me questions, it became apparent that he was unaware that I was an established patient. Again, I'm a simple patient with one medication for which I had been going to appointments monthly. When I deadpan asked if he'd read my chart after it became apparent that he knew nothing about me, he said how dare I ask that, kicked me out of the visit, and told me I should get a different provider.

Liers and scammers alert (Dr. Diego I. The office staff and the doctor verbally assured me multiple times that it would be covered as preventive. We also requested predetermination confirmation before proceeding. The doctor said that preauthorization was sent to insurance, but I later learned that it was never submitted. That is a serious problem because I relied on their statements when deciding to move forward with the procedure. After the procedure, I received a large bill because the claim was submitted under a different CPT code after a polyp was found and removed. I am not disputing that removing a polyp may be medically appropriate. My issue is that no one clearly warned me beforehand that this could change the billing outcome and create major patient responsibility. Patients should not be reassured that something is covered as preventive, told that insurance confirmation will be handled, and then later be surprised with a large bill due to coding changes and lack of actual predetermination. I am disputing the bill and requesting a billing review. I would strongly recommend getting every billing, coding, and insurance statement from this office in writing before proceeding.

I lost 17 pounds not quickly, but fairly easily with his guidance. Most stuff can be handled via email so I don't need to take off work. Highly responsive. Not a pill pusher, but highly respects my ability to make choices for my body even if it isn't the choice he would make. Financially I was able to pair his fee with a slightly higher deductible plan at work. The combination of the two was actually less than what I was paying working for a school system and I get significantly better care.

He is a very caring PCP, but I think where he lacks is experience. In all honesty, if you get a cold, or a cut, he is amazing. But if you get a bout of meningitis or another illness which is chronic in nature - i would stay away until his practice matures. I have total faith, it will. He's definitely not a 1 star doc and he is trying his best to be a 5 star. To me, Dr. Joffee is a 2 star only because I have seen better, thats all. In my opinion, to most he is probably a 3-4 stars.

My husband is in IT and the first he noticed when he entered the office, was that there was no automation in the doctors office. No computers, everything was done with pen and paper. This was his first visit and they did not have him fill out a questionnaire about his medical history nor his family history and the doctor did not ask about it either. Second my husband had made a list of issues he wanted to discuss with the doctor and the doctor barely looked at the list. Dr. Barbano was very condescending and did not even look at one of my husbands main issues, pain in his foot due to gout, even though it was the first issue on the list. I understand that when people come to the office with a list of issues, one might not be able to go over them all but that is when the doctor should tell the patient to schedule another appointment to go over the other issues. It did not seem like Dr. Barbano had any interests in seeing my husband again. My husband felt very much like just another number and that the doctor did not really care. It was like the doctor wanted to find the negative in everything. Needless to say, he is not going back there.
