This review is for Eyal Tanel. While I had spent my life in the NYC renting market, my partner is newbie on the field. I spent about one night collecting all the apartments I wanted to view, The second was a rent stabilized unit listed by Peter Ashe. Eyal got back to us, on the same day and made sure we fit all the categories for the building. He made an appointment for the upcoming weekend. We spent our first day, checking out tiny places with even shitter realtors. Condescending, lazy, and late. The classic combo for many NYC realtors. It was demoralising. The next day, we met Eyal for house warming. He showed up on time, knew the answers to all our questions, and had more than one unit available. He walked us through all available units and explained the pro/cons. I was worried about timing and he was straight up about what was possible. By the time my partner and I left the building, we knew we wanted to move forward. We got the ball rolling the very next day. Eyal processed our application quickly, helping us gather the materials in the most organised manner. He even filled out our city application himself. It was wild. He was super responsive and because he was so experienced, we got approved a week earlier than expected. It was a relief for us! Eyal helped us get the keys a few days earlier, which was a godsend since our prior landlords were being huge assholes about the move out date. Everything went so smoothly. When we got our lease, we got together and Eyal walked us through every part of the lease and since he had worked with the building for nearly a decade, he was well informed about the landlords and super. I'm so used to the every man for themselves, it was nice to have a guiding hand, that was no bull shit, but genuine. Also RESPONSIVE! How great! I would 10/10 recommend. I am typing this from our new flat and it rocks! Grateful for everything Eyal has done. Best realtor I have ever worked with. read more

Meirav G is one of the least ethical and most predatory agents I've ever had the misfortune to deal with. She was paid a full realtor fee for an apartment she never even showed my roommate and I. Never picked up a phone, pressed an elevator button or turned a key in a lock. After we ended our lease there, she attempted to swindle my roommate out of $5000 of fees from years we never lived in that apartment. Avoid her at all costs. She will do everything she can to take advantage of you. read more

Stay away from Eyal Tannel. Most backwards firm ever. Dishonest and rude. If not dishonest, then tremendously vague and condescending. Beware of subelases. We spent weeks negotiating only to find out it was a sublease giving us little to no rights. Something fishy about it too - I showed it to my lawyer. He was certain that it was an alias of a person and only used to give the landlord more rights as well. He unfortunately said this is commonplace amongst certain brokers and landlords in the area who try to take advantage of desperate clients who don't know any better. Complete waste of time and absolutely no respect for the prospective tenants. Eyal went so far to say, "I don't work for you, I work for the landlord" -- something that may be true, but also something that can remain unsaid, don't you think? read more

Meirav Gavrielov from Peter Ashe, asked for upfront money that went against NY laws when renting an apartment, $500 for application, 1 month deposit to submit the rental application, n 1st months rent with that too, ALL 3, TOGETHER, AT SAME TIME, TO HER, WITH APPLICATION. She took advantage of me n the situation. I was traumatized n put off by her because she had her little daughter with her when showing the apartment but then began to threaten me with the police, because I wanted to see the amenities. She said she doesn't usually work with people like me, she didn't believe I could afford the apartment, & that I look like I live I harlem but not this kind of building. I was extremely bothered by her comments, especially in front of her daughter, didn't want to respond to her. I was just very humiliated by her words. Stay away from these people. This agency where she is associated has a rep of doing this bc they think this is how it's done in Nyc to get ahead in the real estate game here. Tjey are close to losing it all. Meirav, the broker, posted on StreetEasy a no fee apt and after she asked us $500 in cash because the owner didn't pay their commission.(Bullshit) She lost our checks and we waited 7 weeks to be approved because she submit the wrong application. It was a nightmare!!! After I met the owner, it wasn't true what they told us.....Nothing was true. Never again. I'll report the whole story to the department of state and they can take care off!!! Asher contacted me very quickly after I messaged about an apartment on Streeteasy.  After a few questions of what I was looking for he arranged me to meet to conduct a search of the Upper East Side and Midtown East.  My request was broad, so much so that Asher and I walked the streets and saw a lot of apartments in the 2 days I spent with him. He is an extremely hard worker and ensures that his clients are well taken care of. We maximized our viewing time; when some appointments fell through he was immediately on the phone to arrange others to see so we rarely had down time. Had the worst experience with Meirav Gavrielov from Peter Ashe - to the point that we walked away from an apartment that we really liked (Apt 1701 on 188 E 64th Street The Royale), just so that we don't have to interact with her. Solely focused on her commissions and called me to go on a 15 minute rant about commissions, "playing games" and having to split the commissions if I have a different agent representing me. Also did something very unethical and manipulative. Told me that she is very close to the owner and has served him/her for 15 years. So owner will ask for her opinion and she will have an input on which application she should select. It was a very thinly veiled threat that if I am not on her good side, I can go ahead with the application, but she will make sure that it is not accepted and I will lose my application fee. There are many good real estate agents and apartments in New York. Spare yourself the attitude she will give you and walk away from anything to do with Meirav. Somehow the owner of the apartment trusts her - and she is misusing that. I hope the owner of Apt 1701 at The Royale 188 E. 64th Street sees this. read more

He addressed needs that I had not even verbally expressed like getting the bathroom spruced up before my arrival at the apartment. It was a wonderful surprise to see that done on top of fixing all the little details I had noticed were out of place. Mr. Ibrahim was not only accessible but also courteous with his response times. Sitting in my new place I feel like a valued customer and have no regrets. You do need to be prepared to have quite a few payments including a moving fee ready upfront but other than that there were no unwelcome surprises. I had an excellent experience with Peter Ashe real estate services! Specifically, I dealt with Ami Hen, a consummate professional and all around good person. Mr. Hen accepted me as a client despite me having a rather unorthodox and challenging situation. He worked efficiently and professionally to secure my apartment and pulled hard for me to get Management to allow several exceptions. He was reachable well into the late evening hours, answering all phone calls and emails. My lease was finalized within days of viewing the apartment and even after I moved in, Mr. Hen answered my calls and addressed issues that, in all fairness, should have gone to Management. While Mr. Hen clearly understands the business side he also has a great personal touch and related to me on a very real human level. He dealt with me not simply as another client but as a real person with real life uniquely personal circumstances; that was the piece de resistance! By the time I got to Sam's open house, I was disappointed by the listings I had seen, and even more disappointed by the agents, as most of the sales agents at the open houses seemed bored, disinterested and were not helpful in showing the property or answering questions. What a relief it was to walk into the open house and meet Sam! He smiled when he opened the door. He enthusiastically showed me the property. He was honest about the apartment's both good and bad features. After that meeting, I told Sam I wasn't interested in the property, but I asked him to be my buyer's broker. As a first-time buyer, especially in New York, I had many questions through the buying process. Sam was patient and helpful with providing me all the information I needed. A seasoned pro, Sam knew the ins and outs of the market. He was familiar with and friendly with many of the sales agents that we met as we looked at properties, which was also helpful. As we looked at properties, Sam was at each appointment with me. He could quickly spot the positive elements of a listing, and the negative ones. His familiarity with the rental market was helpful in selecting a property that would be easy to rent out in the future. PLEASE READ!!! Please, I'm begging you to not work with these people on any level. BEGGING YOU. The level of attempted manipulation and extortion is outright disgusting. I moved into one of their buildings in the beginning of 2017. My roommate had a lease there at the time since she had already been living there prior to this and we were told by the landlord that we couldn't add anyone on to the lease. This was no problem since I paid my roommate my portion of the rent while she remained the only person on the lease. This is perfectly legal under the New York Law 235-f that allows any tenant to share their apartment with one additional occupant without having to disclose it to the landlord (which we did anyway). Fast forward to end of 2017 when my roommate who was on the lease wanted to move out. I got a new roommate to move in and we had to start our own lease. We were forced to pay Peter Ashe a broker fee of $2100 even though I had already been living there and they did not find the apartment for us or really do anything for us. Fine. This was fine. We signed the lease paid the broker fee and moved on. We resigned our lease in 2018 and 2019 and moved out at the end of 2020. It has now been almost one full year since we have moved out and Meirav contacted me telling her I owe her $5000 for resigning my lease from the years 2015-2020!!!!!! She claims that I signed their broker agreement giving them a commission of the rent every year that I resign in 2015 when I didn't even live there in 2015 and had never ever been in contact with them until I signed my lease in 2017. These people are criminals and they will try and take advantage of you for everything that they can EVEN AFTER YOU MOVED OUT. I paid them 2100 to do nothing and they are coming after me with complete lies 4 YEARS LATER trying to get more money from me. I'd previously written a review about how awful my experience was living in that building and she contacted me and tried to get me to take it down. I fear this might be retaliation. They are desperate right now and if you think its over after you pay their fee, think again. I feel so bad for anyone that falls for this scam. Please do not work with these people. read more

My experience with this real estate company was horrible. First it started with the scheduling to view the apartment. We set up a time and day. Eyal was supposed to meet me. He never showed up. After I left, I received a call from Leyla and told me she can show me the unit. I walked back in the rain. Immediately after meeting her, I told her I had 2 dogs. Even showed her pictures of them. I liked the unit, so I decided to apply. I specifically told her I needed to sign the lease for said date because my current lease was ending. In order to submit the application, you have to pay the deposit + $20. Ridiculous. Application took 5 business days for the approval. By then I had a couple of days left in my apt left. Leyla and I set up a date and time to sign the lease. She gives me the name to make the 1st months rent. I go rushed to the bank to make the check. Then she calls me and says that if I sign on that date, I cannot move in. So I had to cancel the movers. She then confirmed I can move in the day after. So I schedule the movers for then. Next day comes and she calls and says oh no you cant move in either because you need to reserve the elevator, it has a $750 deposit, and the super is in the hospital so nothing can be arranged. Are you kidding me????? Why tell me all this minutes before I was suppose to sign??? I had to beg my current landlord to extend my lease. She also cancelled signing the lease because "it wasn't ready". Moved it for the next day. Next day comes and she sends me the documents the guarantor needs to sign and tells me he needs to notarize them. Where the guarantor lives, notaries are lawyers. So it is not as easy to notarize as it is here in NY. And it's expensive. I get my guarantor to sign an notarize the document rushed. Sent it to her. Then she calls and says she forgot another document he needed to sign and notarize..... Before sending it to the guarantor, I read it and says I have to pay a pet fee of $500 per dog. I called her and asked what was going on because she said there was no pet fee. She then goes and says she sent the wrong document and they need to fix it. But, it cannot be "fixed" without the landlord. Landlord was MIA. She then calls and says "oh, the landlord oversaw there were 2 dogs instead of 1 so we have to withdraw your approval". MOST UNPROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE COMPANY EVER. It took me almost a month to find another place and had to pay thousands of dollars in dog boarding and storage facility while I move in to my new place. Terrible experience with Meirav Gavrielov! I was very excited about renting a condo on 5th avenue on the 26th floor. After scheduling a showing, she didn't show up and was very rude about it! I was waiting there with my 4 month old and she said she could send her husband literally 4 hours later! The first time I gave her an offer, she refused to bring it to the owner even though the condo had been vacant for 4 months! Several weeks later it was still on the market and I called her up with the same offer and she said she would talk to the owner. But then didn't show up to the meeting when I was going to give her the deposit and application! Aside from this she was also just rude and unprofessional in almost every interaction. We ended up walking away from the place even though I loved it! It's no wonder the place has been listed on streeteasy for over 5 months now!! read more
