When I arrived, I filled out some paperwork and was seen immediately, no wait. The staff was all very pleasant, from the front desk receptionist to the nurse. Everyone was kind and made me feel at ease. The doctor answered all of my questions and was thorough in her treatment plan for me. I really appreciated her thoughtfulness. During m exam, she respected my privacy when I asked not to have another nurse in the room. Overall, it was a good visit and probably the best GYN visit I've had. The doctor also does aesthetic services in the same office too including Botox, laser hair removal and microneedling.

I had called back in May 2022 and made my appointment for July 2022. My appointment was last week and I should have seen the red flags when I was there.... First, my appointment was at 7pm, I was not seen until 8:30pm, way after the office had closed. Once I got in the room, Dr. Isaacs seemed like she was in a rush by how quickly she wanted to get everything done. I was nervous and had anxiety about coming to the appointment and the condescending tone in her voice made me feel even more anxious. I didn't ask my questions during the appointment because I could tell the doctor and the staff wanted to get out of the office since it was the end of the day. The next day I called the office and asked if I could speak to the doctor regarding a possible ultrasound for cysts that I was told from previous doctors that I have on my ovaries. The receptionist took my information and said the doctor would call me back the next day. (I called Thursday and said I would receive a call by Friday). Today is Monday and I finally received a call from the doctor. Dr. Isaacs asked me, "Why do you want a ultrasound?" I explained that it had been over 7 years since my last one and I wanted to know if the cysts had gotten larger or smaller or if they went away. I explained how nervous I was about my PCOS and then she said "First, you are wrong, you don't have cysts you have follicles on your ovaries. Also I don't treat PCOS, so an ultrasound is just a waste of your time and my time." She was very stern in her voice, almost as if she was scolding me for asking for an ultrasound because I care about my health. I am a young 24 year old woman and I want to make sure my body is properly taken care of and the fact that the doctor disregarded my feelings about this is completely wrong.

The staff has always processed us through rather quickly. If some people are experiencing a long wait time, it may be because the doctors take their time with patients. An emergency appointment can cut into their schedule and back up appointments. People have to expect that occasional problem and realize that they would also want the doctor to take the time if they were to experience such an emergency unscheduled appointment.

Half the time the mailbox is full, no doubt other patients trying to get THEIR results or prescriptions so you leave the message that they never return. I have no idea what to do? In the 8 and 1/2 months she was under the care of 2 North amazing staff led by Flavia, my mom DID thrive! She was so well cared for by the nursing staff and the aides. They were responsive, quick to update me and an absolute pleasure every time I came in. They take their residents' care very personally and as a result, it is above and beyond. The recreation staff made daily activities a joy, and my mom, who even in her dementia was very social, fun and feisty, participated in everything from games - both physical and cognitive - to karaoke and attending all the live Friday concerts. Emerson impressed us at every turn. From the efficient admin staff to wonderful Kelly in the salon, to the receptionists and attentive housekeeping staff, we were always greeted with a smile. It truly reflects their corporate culture, which is one of hospitality and excellence in care. Thank you for making the last chapter of her long and well-lived life, one to be remembered fondly.

Unfortunately, it has been 2 weeks and the referrals department refuses to submit the required forms for my insurance's prior authorization. I have gone back and forth with the office, and no one I speak to can provide an answer as to why they won't submit the forms. I was initially told when I called the office that my MRI had been authorized and I could go ahead with scheduling. I scheduled and my husband took the day off to bring me for the scan, but then my insurance told me I was NOT actually approved. I called the office again and I was told yes, the pre-auth process had not even started. I clarified with the referrals department to make sure there was nothing further they needed from me. The woman I spoke to rudely told me that it hadn't been done because she assumed I'd be using Pascack Valley for the scan (even though I had already confirmed with Pascack Valley I was going elsewhere, and was told I could schedule anywhere.) I checked if there was anything else she needed to submit the forms, and she said no and confirmed she'd submit it "now." Days later I call Bergen Medical again, and am told that the pre-auth process STILL has not begun. I am promised to get a call back about this in 2 business days to explain why I am being given the runaround. So of course two business days plus a weekend go by, I call Bergen Medical back, and yet again no one can help me. The forms have STILL not been submitted, despite the multiple calls and confirmation from the referrals department that it had been submitted the week prior. I don't know what else I'm supposed to do when my doctor has ordered a test and his staff won't submit the forms. I am genuinely baffled.
