They said it was $10 (cash or check only even though they do NOT mention that on the phone or anywhere), but I wish I just paid $20 to go to a more reputable, safer, and cleaner business. My experience went like this: Walk in, the floor is crumbling, it smells horrendous, there is a used couch randomly to the side with a little kid sitting on it (little kid belongs to the lady i think?) Now I do not expect a dog grooming place to be shiny clean, but I do expect it to not be THIS bad. A lady comes around the corner with nail clippers and says we do it right there and now. No asking of pet's name, pet's behavior or vaccines, or my name. I was barely 2 ft in the door and she just starts clipping his nails. My dog has anxiety over nail clippings and I said it is probably better to put him on the table (like most places do) but she said no for their safety. I haven't experienced that before but I went with it. I wanted to just leave there immediately as I was actually worried on how unsanitary it was and just having my dog in that space. When I left, she did not even clip the dewclaw at all on any of my dog's feet. The nails were still EXTREMLEY long. As in.. I have already made an appointment at a more reputable place in Bridgewater for this weekend because his nails still need to be actually clipped. I am completely serious when I say AVOID this place at all costs. It is unsanitary to a point of unsafe. They have a child just wandering in the front of the shop (which can also be a safety issue for both the dog's and the child). For a lack of kinder words, it looked like I walked into a drug den to be completely honest. There are so many other places nearby that you pay $5-10 more and are reputable, safe, clean, and will actually clip the dog's nails. I actually don't understand how this place is legally allowed to be open. I don't usually write many reviews, but I am doing so for the safety of other dog's out there.

She shows so much care for my dog, Pretzel. Once, he had cut on him that I didn't see because his hair was covering it up. Lisa called me right away and let me know Pretzel might need a vet visit. I certainly did appreciate the concern. In addition, Lisa also provided me with some sample shampoos for my dog's sensitive skin. Over the last few years, she has given me helpful advice on the best ways to groom and care for my dog. Pretzel's feelings for Lisa are obvious with the way he wags his tail and gets so excited when we visit Bobbi's. I strongly recommend Lisa as a groomer for your dog too!

They offer boarding, day care, and grooming, but their grooming services are the real star. I've never walked into a place so impeccably clean--every surface gleams, every tool is spotless, and it immediately puts my mind at ease. I always insist on having my pups groomed by Matt. Watching him work is like witnessing a true artist in action. He'll take a scruffy, stinky little ball of fur and turn it into a show-quality French Poodle cut--seriously, you'd think he was prepping them for a national competition. In just three hours, he calms my two Miniature Schnauzers (who absolutely hate getting groomed), manages their anxiety, and somehow coaxes them into perfect cooperation. When I pick them up, they're perfectly sanitized and coiffed down to every whisker. It's clear that Dog Days Daycare holds itself to the highest standards of cleanliness and care--no stray hairs, no overlooked nicks, just two happy, fresh-smelling pups ready to strut their stuff. That consistency makes it easy to trust them completely. Robin, the owner, is just as wonderful. She's always friendly on the phone, transparent about pricing, and genuinely cares about each dog that comes through the door. Between Robin's warmth and Matt's undeniable talent, I always feel like my babies are in the best hands. The transformation is nothing short of miraculous. My Miniature Schnauzers emerge spicy, sassy, and so proud of their fresh looks that they practically prance their way home. They might dread the grooming appointment, but they live for the attention they get afterward--strutting the neighborhood and charming every passerby. I'll never take my pups anywhere else. If you live in Hillsborough Township and want top-notch grooming (or even boarding and day care), do yourself a favor and book with Dog Days Daycare. Your dog will thank you.

She's tried other daycares in the area as well, and even though the others have cameras and Dog Days doesn't, I still fully trust them with her care and safety. I love how Dog Days separates by how the dogs play (rougher or tamer) instead of by size, and how large the outdoor area is for plenty of running space. She loves the handlers too, and is always happy, socialized, and exhausted after a day at Dog Days.

First of all, they wouldn't even let me go in with her -- which was horrifying. My little girl has been by my side for 14 years; she's never been without me. To imagine her scared, not feeling well, and taken away from me like that just broke my heart. After giving her the medication she needed, they sat us down and presented an outrageous estimate -- over $10,000 just to keep her alive. Before we even went, I had spoken with my regular vet. He told me exactly what to ask for and what my dog needed. He also specifically advised me never to leave any of my dogs overnight at a hospital unless it was absolutely crucial. I trusted his judgment -- and I knew in my heart my girl would be okay with the right care. But the emergency clinic tried to guilt and scare us, saying that if we didn't leave her there, she would die. Shame on them. It's devastating to see what so many of these vet hospitals are becoming -- businesses more focused on money than compassion. They take advantage of pet owners when we're at our most vulnerable, knowing how deeply we love our animals, and then pressure us into debt with fear tactics. It's disgusting and heartbreaking to see. Our pets deserve genuine care -- not manipulation. And pet owners deserve honesty and compassion, not financial exploitation in our moments of panic and pain.

Keep your dogs far far away from Lisa." I hesitate writing this review because the owners, Monica and Arjun, are EXTREMELY nice and run a well kept and absolutely adorable shop filled with amazing treats, toys, and food options/toppers for dogs. The Modern Canine is conveniently located in a strip mall on 206 with plenty of parking, and they give free puppacinos to dogs who visit. Unfortunately, my review is as low as it is because I had a TERRIBLE experience with their groomer Lisa. Despite the multiple recommendations I received in a local neighborhood Facebook page for a reputable groomer, Lisa did the worst grooming job I've ever seen (I had a cockapoo for 16 years prior to the puppy I have now). Worst of all, I trusted this groomer enough to do my dog's haircut 2 weeks before our wedding. I paid $80 for a full body haircut, bath, brush/blowout, ear cleaning, and nail trim. My fiance was the one taking our dog to/from the groomer, so I reached out on Instagram a week before the appointment with "inspiration/inspo pictures" for the haircut so they'd know exactly how to groom him and my fiance wouldn't have to worry about explaining it to them since he would be rushing during his lunch break to take our dog to this appointment. They said they'd add the pictures to his file but when the day of his appointment came around, they called me while I was working to ask if I had pictures even though I already sent them and they said they'd add the pictures to his file a week beforehand. When my fiance picked him up, the hair on his face was much rounder than my inspo pictures. I asked the groomer to round it out a little more to match the picture and the outcome was a sloppy, choppy MESS. I requested a partial refund for the face trim and part of the tip to reflect the cheaper overall cost, which the owners graciously gave me. When I was home the next day, I noticed that even the body was cut sloppily. Lisa left long patches on his butt and paws and it looked like she just cut his hair with straight scissors instead of blending it out and making it more of a clean cut. I feel like I could have bought a dog grooming kit on Amazon and done a better job. I reached back out requesting a full refund of the tip which they willingly refunded. The owners handled the situation very professionally, and they were apologetic which I appreciate. That's why I still recommend The Modern Canine for the store itself and will continue to support it by buying toys and treats, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND HAVING YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE. Keep your dogs far far away from Lisa. I've since found an amazing and extremely talented groomer to fix the mess Lisa made. This other groomer also agreed that his face trim came out extremely choppy and sloppy. I'll post a review of the lifesaver groomer on my profile if you'd like to see the groomer I highly recommend instead.
