So we took all the dead fish up to Petco that I purchased on 3/23/25 that died within 8 hrs along with several of mine that also died to as of today, 3/29/25. They would only reimburse for my 3/23/25 purchase, no compensation for my fish loss! My loss of fish, time and gas for the two trips should have sufficed replacement of my 4 fish! There tanks are sick, they have dead fish. Sad they don't care about their customers. read more

I asked to buy a ceramic feeder from the cages with live birds in the store, if they could switch one from the shelf because the pattern I wanted was the one in use. This means I was willing to buy a dirty feeder and they could place the exact same NEW feeder in the cage. It's seriously a bowl that sits in the cage. It's not connected to anything. The lady I asked was rude in her reply as well. I can take "no" for an answer but i did nothing to provoke the tone I received it in. I left agitated. And for the record...I still bought the feeder in the wrong color. I'll avoid this store in the future. Also order $106 cage from their online site just a week prior and it showed up with all four legs scratched and gouged. The customer service person barely spoke English and wasn't willing to offer me a discount for the damaged item. I called the day it was delivered and offered to text or email proof of the damage. If I had not recently bought birds in a temporary small cage I would have done a normal exchange but because this would add stress to my animals I was looking to just exchange the legs. No luck. This store dies not know how to properly take care of their animals. I have seen on two separate occasions dead lizards in the habitats, a Jackson's Chameleon and a Savannah Monitor. They rarely have anything in stock and when they do it's either not something that animal should have or it is broke/dead. It is like pulling teeth to get live worms. Furthermore, their staff is rude! They will only sell 50 crickets at a time and they are rude about it. I have 3 lizards And live 25 minutes away. 50 crickets won't last me more than 3-4 days and that's if they don't die. This store is overprice, rude, and cruel to their animals! I'd save my money and go somewhere else, like Mertin's Bait and Tackle in Jefferson City. Cheaper and better quality! read more

Terrible service. I went to this store 5 different times and each time there was hardly any staff there. Nevertheless anyone to check me out or help me. Also one day I traveled all the way there just to get there because my lizards desperately needed crickets and my local closer petsmart in Jefferson city was out of crickets. And when I get there oh sorry you have to be 18 to buy crickets REALLY CRICKETS??? It's not tobacco for goodness sakes they are CRICKETS!!! NOT a Happy Customer!!! read more

Arrived at 6:30pm on 9/14/2015 for dog grooming and was told it was closed even though the posted hours are until 7pm on Mondays. Drove all the way from Camdenton, not happy! Was told that they have been "approved" to close it early if no one calls. It's a walk-in location! Ridiculous. read more

April is the best groomer I have had in 14 years! She is pleasant, loves my dogs and pays close attention to all the details. I trust her completely and when I pick up my three Papillons they are always happy. I will be moving from the area soon we will really miss her!!! read more

They can be a little higher priced on things, but they have a great variety of products to choose from. Good selection if you're looking for a small pet, fish, turtle, ferret, parakeet, etc. They have a rewards programs that helps save some cash! read more

If I could give a half a star I would. Let me just say that no one in this store that I spoke to can manage to take responsibility for their actions, or lack thereof. I prepaid for a dog training class and after a week hadn't been contacted. After a week I called in and they advised the girl that was going to train my dog had been in an auto accident. I'm empathetic enough to understand things happen, but I also thought it was a little odd they weren't proactive in their approach and waited for me to contact them. Regardless, I was told that someone would contact me later that day. No call. I called and left another message. I finally received a call a few days later from Michelle, who told me she would be doing the class and she would text me that night with availability. Again, no contact. I waited 3 more days before I called in and spoke to a rude female manager (who's name I cannot recall) when I asked for a refund. When I went into the store to get a refund I was snubbed by Michelle and pushed off on yet another employee. I am thoroughly disgusted by this store and their service. Furthermore, everything in this store can be purchased on Amazon for at least 10-20% less. read more

I gave this place one star for the help it provides in getting homes for animals from local shelters and the second for the genuinely kind people that work there. Aside from these qualities, I hate this place. My wife and I have purchased several fish and shrimps from this store for our aquariums at home and nearly all of them have had diseases that spread quickly and kill them off in no time. Tetra sickness wiped out all of our tetras and our Barb's which were healthy until we added a new tetra from this store. After buying 8 shrimp from them, all but two are dead and those two were moved to a new tank when we realized the others were sick. We did all the research, did regular water changes and treatments and catered their food based on the recommendations of Petco and the leading sources. We aren't exactly Sea World but our fish are cared for carefully and enthusiastically and I just had to flush our oldest fish after it also contracted some fatal disease. My wife and I loved this fish and to see it dead because this store sells sick fish breaks my heart. If you buy from them, quarantine until you're sure the fish are healthy before exposing your established fish. We will not be buying fish here again. read more

Bad establishment, shaved my aunts dog, and shaved two of the dogs nipples off. Took dog to vet and gave them the information to pay the bill and was never reimbursed for the cost. Don't risk your dogs health here! read more
