I love the groomers at this location! Molly always takes care of my cockapoo and she does great work. We've used James too and he's wonderful. I have not had a bad experience at this location ever. I feel like they genuinely care for my dog and it's clear when I drop her off that she is excited to see them. When I first adopted my dog I tried a few different grooming locations and was hesitant to take her to a pet store chain. She was always scared when I would drop her off at those other places but the very first time we went to petco and she met Molly, she got down to her level and my dog was instantly at ease. Not going to lie usually a petsmart girl. However, i ordered a pickup in store of my dogs food around 8:00 not even 30 minutes later i get an email stating that it's ready for pickup. The associate was super friendly and personable. I didn't have to sign anything just scanned my barcode and away i went! This store does seem much smaller than petsmart but they also seem way more organized and clean probably because it's such a newer building. They do offer grooming and school for your animals at this location. Since i did curbside pickup it was even an extra 10 percent off. Petco beat the dog food price i usually spend by a good $10 or so on the large bag. Definitely worth the trip! read more

*update* September 2019 Decided to give the grooming a second chance but with our new dog. Our appointment was set for 12 pm got there early to get her all set up. Everything went really great at first. This was our dogs second time getting groomed since we had her and everything went fine the first time we groomed her. My dog was super sweet and went straight to the groomer and started to cuddle. Everything seemed great I got a call about an hour and a half later from the groomer saying she was unable to cut her hair because our dog was too scared and was not letting her cut her hair. This seemed really odd to me. We didn't experience this the first time, and I'm sure most dogs are scared when they get groomed. She told me all she was able to do was wash, dry, cut nails and clean her pads. I asked if I should go pick her up and she said yes because she was getting ready to leave in about 30 min. I also thought this was odd. ( grooming was supposed to take 2-4 hours) I got to petco and was told I had to pay over 30 dollars for her to clean her and not finish the job, I was super disappointed. I ended up taking her to another groomer the next day and no problem existed. She was groomed great with no problems. It dawned on me that I think the groomer just wanted to leave and get out of there so decided she did not want to finish grooming our dog. Super disappointed as now I have spent a lot of money on hair cuts. * read more

I took my dogs there yesterday and got their heartworm medicine and tick and flea all combined into one. My female got sick and threw hers up after it sat on her stomach a long time. I tried to call and complain to see if they might help and the boy that answered laid the phone down and would not hear what I was saying. I tried the chat bot too. EMPLOYEES CAN MAKE OR SINK A BUSINESS First time in PETCO in 7 years and I was reminded why I patron PETSMART. Employees need to establish priorities. No greetings! Talking to another employee on how to stock shelves has less of a priority than running the register and helping customers that are in line waiting on you to pay. When a coupon is presented, do not brush the customer away by not accepting it just because the name given can not be found. In my case, I am visiting friends in OKC (who patron PETCO) and was given a coupon. And lastly, employees need to graciously attempt to sign a customer and not say "sorry but this coupon can only be used by Rewards members". I went across the street to PetSmart, paid $2.00 more but, I felt valued and appreciated! Also noticed that on regular prices, PetSmart is about $0.50 cheaper. read more

Have been buying fish and all the supplies which ad you know are the biggest part. I bought 6 neons and 1 died so I took it back they told me I have to bring the water to. DO NOT literally save your self the money and the 5+ hours they will take. brough my dog in for just a simple bath and cut. got him back after waiting hourrrs and they only thing that's trimmed is his sanitary areas. absolutely nothing else. also paid $75 for that. im incredibly disappointed. keep in mind i had an apt for 1:00 pm and they left him in a crate till about 4:30 pm. yeah not happy at all never will be back. read more

I have been taking my dog to a groomer at Petco and Petsmart for years. He is calm and loving and on top of that is over 9 years old. The last couple of times I have been to this location they insult me and ask me questions that are none of their business. Tonight was the final straw. I will literally never step foot in a petco ever again. The groomers refused to take my dog as he was too anxious. I shop at Petco all the time for products. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is great. This review is for the pop up vaccine clinic. NEVER in my life have I seen such dangerous unprofessionalism when handling dogs. I took my 3 year old Rottweiler mix in for vaccines today as we have a new puppy needing her final boosters and thought this would be a quick and easy solution for them both. While my dog is well trained, he is still a very large dog (over 80lbs) with protective instincts. He was seated calmly (mom giving training treats as reward for his patience) when the tech came over to greet him. He was calm allowing her to pet him but was a bit apprehensive and showing the typical signs of that- head lowered, tail tucked. I offered the tech the training treats to "make friends" as she called it and she refused them. Claiming he'd done nothing to earn them and he could have a treat after. She then bear hug gripped my dog from behind around his neck and stated, "I'm going to turn him away from you now. You can't touch him during this." WHAT?! In what universe do you grab a dog from behind AROUND THE NECK and try to take it from his owner? My dog let off a warning growl at which time she TIGHTENED her grip around his neck. As I stated- my dog is well trained, and by the grace of god did not bite this person. However, I would not fault ANY dog for snapping in this situation. Entirely irresponsible behavior from the tech who then insinuated that my dog was the problem. I simply took the leash and calmly left with my dog, grateful the situation didn't end the way it could have. My husband did stay back and get the booster shots for our puppy, and said it went fine. (7 pound 12 week old mini schnauzer) but please be aware- if you have an adult dog that would not want to be in a situation that could absolutely be construed as aggressive, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE FOR VACCINES. As the owner, I do take responsibility for not having a muzzle in case of odd behavior, but this dog has never had issues at vet appointments and spends time in dog parks being socialized and is always great with other people and pets. It never crossed my mind to assume this would happen. I should have been better prepared to protect my pup against snipping in what was perceived as self-defense. read more

I went in thinking schools started and it would be slow so I could get my dogs nails trimmed. Stood in pet area for a few minute finally went to see if anyone was actually working . No smile no welcome and if she was walking any slower she would be going backwards. Came here with my friend today so she could buy herself a new pet mouse. She has 5 already, and she loves them. So the lady comes over and opens the cage, and instead of picking up the mouse and placing her in the carrying box, she repeatedly poked and prodded the mouse trying to force her into the box. She poked the mouse hard and quickly and the mouse speaked a couple times in pain. It was infuriating to watch. The employees name is Aaliyah. She had a tattoo on one of her arms that was extremely trashy. I'm aware that the facility that petco receives their mice from treats the mice (and other animals they have) horribly. I find it disgusting to be honest. Also, even once the mouse was already in the box, she poked it AGAIN, even harder than all the times before. disgusting. Treat animals with respect please. edit: she was also using a PEN to poke the mouse. not her finger. and she was doing it much harder than she needed to. she was literally stabbing it. read more

I have always loved Petco and the employees are great!! I've been a regular for over five years! I recently adopted a rabbit from Rabbit Ressuce there at this location and after a few days of trying to make our new pet adjust I called rabbit rescue and told them of my concerns of her being very aggressive towards us as well as not being litter box trained as she was described as being good with children and calm in nature as well as litter box trained. I personally paid $100 even though the adoption fee stated $90. $10 was not worth arguing over. After five days of long consideration I felt it was on the best interest of the bunny as well as my family that we give her back so that she could be in a better home better suited for her needs. They said that they could not give me my $100 back bc they had "spent it?" I was kind and considerate and even left them with $50 worth of food, litter, hay, etc that I didn't want to go to waste. They should be ashamed of themselves for lying about the rabbit we adopted then keeping my money when I was trying to do the right thing! I would never recommend these people! They do not know how to do the right thing! Or disclose important information for the new parents! Disappointed in their entire way of doing business. read more

The employees are super friendly however my experience with the grooming salon today made me feel very un welcome the first time I brought my dogs here to be groomed I had a very pleasant experience which is why I returned a second time today that was not the case from the moment I arrived to my appointment the person that was gonna groom them did not seem like they wanted to be bothered I was told they needed permission from the manager to groom one of my dogs when I mentioned he had been groomed there previously all of the sudden it was ok after taking my other dog back I was told he may need to be picked up because of he may be too anxious i will say does Have anxiety he's 9 but I've never been asked or told he may need to be picked up or that he could not be groomed 20 min later I get a call stating he bit and needs to be picked up when I came to get him she asked if I wanted to take my other dog as well or if I still wanted the other one groomed I opted to have the other groomed came to pick him up a few hours later and told he would prob do better being groomed somewhere else... apparently both of my dogs are too high maintenance to be groomed by this particular groomer I'll be honest I was very offended being that I have NEVER had issues with any other groomers telling me they where hard to handle or high maintenance before and they have been groomed regularly and like I said they where groomed there previously by a different groomer and I had a wonderful experience:.. I recently brought my dog in for grooming. I hadn't groomed with PetCo before, but thought I'd give them a try since they are affordable and offer extra services like teeth brushing. My quote before arrival was $42 for the groom. They knew his breed and weight. Upon arrival, the groomer said said he had a couple mats, and he's the type of dog she would have to brush (he's a little white fluffy dog). She said it would be a $250 dollar groom! She said they would have to charge more because they didn't know he was the type of dog you would need to brush and brushing takes time (I had already told them his breed prior to arrival). I said I would not pay $250 for a groom when I normally pay around $50 elsewhere (he is groomed regularly by the way). I then asked if we could just do a bath, and I will brush him myself. She said she couldn't change the service. Then what she said next blew my mind. I asked what she would recommend. She said she would recommend shaving him completely so that he's bald. He is a long haired fluffy dog, and it's 30 degrees outside. I said that was absolutely not an option and borderline cruel. This was right before Christmas, and I wanted him too smell good for the holidays. Instead of him being groomed, I went home and bathed and brushed him myself. It took me less than an hour to bathe, brush out all mats, and blow dry him. I didn't even have the fancy equipment. Don't take your dog here if they're a non shedding dog that actually needs to be groom. They do not know how. I took ours to a different groomer in the area the next week, and he came out fluffy, without mats, and with his hair! read more
