I was talked into starting the CareClub program which seemed extremely helpful, I was only able to take advantage of this for 3 months although I was locked into an agreement for a year. 27 days post spay surgery I had to make the hardest decision in my life due the severity of my attack. Completely came out of nowhere, I had to call animal control which took 3 days to remove my cat from my home..My first instinct was to call my "trusted veterinary clinic" I was asked from the woman over the phone "Why would you bring her here?". Extremely disrespectful and disheartening to hear that from the last people to touch your baby! I wanted to ensure that I was not going to be continuously charged for my CareClub plan so I have now called 3-4 times and physically went into the office to show the staff the severity of my wounds.. I was assured by the wonderful receptionists (THE MOST HELPFUL AND CONSIDERATE employees!) that I would receive a phone call from the Office Manager on Thurs, the 19th. I never received a call, so I called first thing Friday morning and was told that "oh the manager took care of it." I understand the situation was "taken care of", I deal with legal agreements daily. Maybe it's too much to ask, but I would have expected some sort of email addressing the termination of the agreement. WHERE IS THE COMMUNICATION?!?!?!? WorldClass Veterinarian? Hmm do your research.

They kept her for about 6 hours total. They did a great job and we are so thankful it went so well!

Extremely disappointed and heartbroken by our experience…read more Our 3.5-lb puppy had been vomiting all night, so we took her to the West Columbia clinic immediately, knowing she had very little weight to lose. After a brief look, we were told they did not have a Parvo test kit and that we needed to go immediately to the Brazoria clinic. We were told they would call ahead to let Brazoria know we were coming specifically for Parvo testing. When we arrived at the Brazoria clinic, our puppy was taken to the back for an exam. We reasonably assumed that the Parvo test and blood work were being done, since that was the entire reason we were sent there. Instead, the veterinarian blamed us for her illness, stating that feeding her plain chicken breast the night before caused a GI infection. His demeanor was dismissive and arrogant. Relieved we weren't told it was Parvo, we trusted his diagnosis and went home -- after paying a very expensive bill. The next day, our puppy continued to decline and had not eaten in over 24 hours. When I called the Brazoria clinic, I was told -- very matter-of-fact -- that our very sick puppy was just being "stubborn" and would eat when she was hungry. The following morning she was dramatically worse, barely able to walk. We rushed her to a different veterinarian. After extensive testing, X-rays, and blood work, she continued to deteriorate. At my insistence, they tested her for Parvo. Within 10 minutes, the results came back positive. We immediately called the Brazoria clinic and discovered that she was NEVER tested for Parvo there -- despite being sent to that location specifically for that reason. The veterinarian made the decision to completely disregard Parvo testing. Had our puppy been properly diagnosed days earlier, she would never have come so close to dying. We would not have spent thousands of dollars, nor been forced into emergency weekend hospitalization. Please save your time, money, and heartache and avoid both the Brazoria and West Columbia veterinary clinics. Their lack of thoroughness, accountability, and compassion nearly cost our puppy her life. According to them, she was "just stubborn."

We took our 2 German Shepherd puppies to Oakwood Kennels 4 years ago to be trained. We didn't want…read moreour adorable little puppies to grow up into big misbehaving dogs. We wanted them to be trained so that when people came into our home they would not be afraid of being "mauled" by our dogs. They took our puppies for 3 months and when we got them back they were trained both off leash and on. Our dogs don't jump on people, they enjoy being around other dogs, and obey the commands we give them. Alana, Zack, and Ron were very helpful and kind the entire time. After we got them back they would come over if we were experiencing difficulties and even when we weren't to see how the dogs (and us) were doing. We are so glad that we took our dogs there. During the next four years we have frequently brought our dogs to be kenneled there. We know that they love our dogs and take excellent care of them. They always go above and beyond in their care of our dogs. My husband and I highly recommend Oakwood Kennels.

I had a…read morebad feeling from the start but my ex said he had people from his hunting lease use this place to train dogs. We explained throughly that our 4 year old black lab who is on the smaller size was trained since he was a puppy but needed training on hand signals. He never sent updates or pictures or videos of the progress. We asked many times when we could come and see him work with our dog in the 3 months he was there. Drew always gave a reason why those weekends wouldn't work. I had an overwhelmingly bad feeling so I drove the 2 hours and did a surprise visit and let Drew know 5 minutes before I got there. He said "give me 10 minutes I'm in the middle of training" Pulled up and saw 10 small black labs Drew was training and when I got out they all ran towards me and every single one was jumping on me. they were all about a year old and all looked emaciated along with our dog. So thin I could see EVERY SINGLE RIB. When I brought him home the older kids in the neighborhood started crying at the sight of him When asked what he was training him on he said "Sit, stay, here,heel, kennel and place." all things he already knew VERY WELL and after we picked him up those commands he was struggling with. He needed 2 extra months according to Drew for those commands....that he already knew and if he had worked with him he would've known If you have a black lab here: i don't think these dogs even leave the kennel and they're probably being starved and then fed before pick up. Both friends from hunting lease have pulled their dogs
