Worm infested case of Fancy Feast delivered. I had a repeat delivery of 3 cases of Fancy Feast. The last order came a few weeks ago. I just opened the last case and noticed the box was open on side. I was unloading the cans into a storage place I keep. My hand comes up covered in WORM INFESTED FOOD from a broken can at the bottom of the case. The first order was also delivered with 3 cases not in a box but at my front door apparently dropped with cans everywhere. Needless to say I have cancelled all deliveries and won't shop there since I assume the food on the shelves might not be handled properly either. I have received a refund for this order of 3 cases. Amazon is a little bit more expensive but worth the cost not to have this happen again. read more

This is a great Petco! They truly provide superb customer service and they carry all your pet's needs. Today we went in to get a vaccine for our Pug, Ivy. Thankfully, Ashlyn helped us at the checkout counter and she was very wonderful. Overall, she was very helpful, kind, and supportive during our entire visit to Petco. She even helped us sign up for the Vital Care Premier program where we received even more savings on vaccines, vet visits, dog food, grooming, and much, much more. We highly recommend it. The last time I took them the boy was scared and didn't let them trim nails so this time when I went was told they don't see old Dogs because their policies are very strict and are now turning away dogs that are old or have issues. GROOMING ONLY Petco needs to check out the groomers before they hire them. We normally use Maria and she is great. She was not available this week so a girl named Crystal butchered our Yorkie. The worst hear cut her has ever gotten. His head was not even washed and still smells. His hair cut on his face is so chopped and uneven and parts are not even cut at all. Total waste of money. My dog is an Alaskan Malamute. Twice a year they "puff out". Too much for me to deal with - I tried. Told them when I booked the appointment online. Didn't know which services to check off so I checked most of them - knowing I could change it when I got there. I told the groomer he didn't need flea attention - just gave him a $58. per month chewy 3 days before. Told her he just need to be "depuffed", bathed and groomed - not all the things I checked - she smiled and basically ignored what I said! My bill was over $200. I've never paid more than $115. with tip for an excellent job in Old Town Spring including him being there until I closed my shop at 5:30! My dog's left eye is infected and we're trying to put antibiotics in it. I tried to explain to the groomer but she just went off without listening. I didn't want soap in his eyes. He did not enjoy his grooming and wouldn't come to me he was so upset. Always before - he was happy after grooming. They groomed like a Husky. It looks like 2 groomers worked on him! The front is ok just Husky but his rear is all choppy and ragged! And his under coat (under his torso) is all chopped up! Never never never again! Wish I had read the reviews. Ugh. This was at the Atascocita location. Double ugh. I hate that they didn't treat him ok. He's getting older & he's really sweet. Didn't deserve what they did to him!!! read more

this was the worst experience I could have imagined. This was my first time bringing my fur baby Sadie, who is a golden doodle to Petco and it was also her first time being groomed. prior to getting her groomed, I decided to do my own research of where to go and what to do and what not to do on their first grooming appointment my husband and I just purchased a home and Sadie just turned nine months so you can imagine how hectic our lives were with moving and also how thick her coat was at the time. When my husband arrived to Petco for Sadie's appointment, he was immediately met at the counter with unprofessionalism. Tabby was the assigned groomer this morning at 8:15 AM for Sadie. tabby asked my husband were there any details that we'd like for them to follow or any requests and my husband specifically said that he did not want them to plug her ears because of the mixed reviews that we have read and heard from this particular store causing ear infections. and the last thing we want is a bill for some thing that could have been prevented. Tabby immediately began to question why we did not want her to plug Sadie's ears, and we explained that we we're trying to prevent an ear infection. she immediately got offended and began to provide my husband with her unprofessional opinion, stating thaT us not allowing her to plug Sadie's ears will cause an ear infection, and I immediately told her no I did not want her ears plugged. Then she began to lie and say that Sadie's ears were beginning to turn red and that she currently has a mild ear infection when she is not a professional vet, on top of that, my dog is a white golden doodle with pink flesh in other words, her ears have looked that way since she has been born she does not have an ear infection. The vet verify that. And when I finally told her for the last time, I do not want you to pluck her ears she told my husband that she is going to refuse service and cancel the appointment the appointment and that if he wanted to reschedule again that he would have to reschedule with the manager there.. when I attempted to go back into my profile to reschedule at a different Petco. She had reported my profile so now if I would like to schedule an appointment with Petco, which I will never do again. I will have to call some customer service line or something like that me and my husband we're not rude with this lady we gave her the upmost respect, this was completely uncalled for and we feel as though this was an act of racism. we are not sure if Petco stands behind this sort of activity, but I will never spend another dime and that store and I know that is very small to the corporation that they have in America, but I would much rather spend my coin with a small business that respects me, respects my choices for my family member who is also known as my dog Sadie and gives me way better high-quality service without overcharging me for every single service, which I had no problem paying by the way. if you have got to this point of this review and you have experienced something similar to this or are unhappy with this store service I highly recommend you get in contact with Lilo's grooming service. I should of read the reviews before taking my dogs here. I usually take my dogs to Petco to get groomed, but this was our first time at this location. The staff is really nice. However, when I picked up my dogs one was struggling to open his eyes, but I didn't noticed until we got to the car. The salon was closed already to call to see what happened. But my dog couldn't open one eye the rest of the day and was struggling to see with the other one. I wonder what happened because my other dog was completely fine. we had to give him antibiotics to help him with whatever he had. This morning he can open he eye, but still squinting. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!! HORRBILE TREATMENT!!! I came with my 6 year old son with the intention to purchase 4 fishies for his fish tanks. When I was greeted the apparently manager from that section was going to help us, she started asking me a lot of questions which to me was a bit not necessary but I answered them anyways I told her that I had a 2.5 gallon tank and also 10 gallon tank in my garage and she kept telling me that she couldn't sell me fish because she didn't know if I had those tanks to keep my fish in. I was extremely appalled by her behavior and I never felt that in my 15 years of going to petco for all my pet needs. I was extremely disappointed with how I was treated as a customer and as human being, my son was so sad he was crying because he couldn't buy the fish for his tanks. I called my husband and told him to come with me to the store again to maybe speak to a manager that would hear us out, he spoke to another individual who didn't even introduce himself to us and the cashier didn't even know if there was a manager working. I felt discriminated against as a woman and for being hispanic. He didn't even provide an apology he was just making excuses to why the other manager or supervisor treated me this way. I understand that if this is a new policy it should be stated on your door of the store saying we won't sell you fish if you don't have evidence of having tanks or provide a pamphlet of what I can buy and what I can't buy as a customer. When I called them on the phone and scheduled an appointment for My husky.And I asked the lady that was on the phone if they would blow dry my dog for me And she replied rudely "Well if your dog doesn't like our blow dryer then he'll come back wet!!" So then I decided not to go through with the appointment and she called me back multiple times when I would not answer she would just call back And when I would answer she would get on the phone and start acting very unpolite and She would go as far as get an attitude with me. Review for Grooming Services only: 1 star cause I can't go lower. I brought my yorkie in for a shave and when I got him back. he was bad off. He had multiple locations that were shaved so close that he had razor burn in multiple locations all over his body, as well as spots that were completely missed and not trimmed at all. The worst, was his neck which I took him to the vet for. He had horrible razor burn at first, and that turned into some sort of infection now. He's on medication and care from a vet which is costing more and more. careful taking your pets there, I won't go back for grooming. read more

Left my puppy with very irritated skin and i called and asked what did they put on him just to know what may have caused the irritation and I didn't even say his name when they already knew who i was talking about and implied that he had came with that already when i clearly saw him in the morning before i left him and he didn't have anything. Absolutely horrible location. They are a mess, not organized at all, I scheduled an appointment for my doG to get groomed, I already lost most of my work due to Covid-19 so when the only slot they had available was at 9:45am I asked them to be sure because I would have take off work so I can take mmmm dog since he really needed it. They said yes no problem. I confirmed with the them twice over the phone the day before and they even called me inn the morning. We had constructions everywhere and I had to drive inn the pouring rain for 45mn to get to them. Once I get there they tel me they can take him because they don't have his rabies shots up to date ... Forrest of all THEY did the rabies shots (Vetco) second they have been grooming him for a year already! I told them I took off work and drove 40mn in a storm to take him and that they confirmed the appointment the day before AND this morning. Someone named Brittany comes out and tells me there is nothing she can do since it's not their fault but Vetco who made a mistake and it happens all the time. So now I'm driving back 40mn in the rain with a soaking wet dog because they made ya wait outside for 10mn in the rain since we can't enter the store. WHAT A MESS! Never take your pet to that store all they do is waste your time, are disorganized and are not helpful at all even for long time customers. NEVER AGAIN! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! read more

They apparently have instituted this new corporate policy that says my breed of dog has to be competed within 2 hours for his safety. Which BTW is a load of crap! Confirmed by two graduates of Texas A&M Vet School. Well I guess this new corporates policy did not give them ample amount of time to get my dog fully dried off. He contracted a staff infection. 300.00 later at the vet - needless to say we won't be back. Petsmart does not have these idiotic policies so we will be Going there from now on. read more

I took two gorgeous standard poodles to grooming department. They butchered them and cut up their feet terribly. They didn't even give them the correct cut and they cut the hair off of 80% of their tails. Wish I could post photos! Definitely try another grooming company. read more

While it's convenient from a location perspective (and it's clean, staff is friendly), there are a few drawbacks that factor into my rating: 1 - I wish their product selection were larger 2 - Grooming - Don't get your dogs groomed here. The groomers seem nice and it feels affordable, HOWEVER - every time I've had my dogs groomed here (I have two little Morkies with hair, not fur), they come away with uneven cuts. Not to mention the fragrance of whatever shampoo they use is way too strong and they also feel sticky to the touch for a couple of days. Even though I read all these bad reviews about the groomers and the store I still decided to give them a chance and go. I had a groomers appointment at 8 am and I get there and it's closed because they open at 9. But their groomers opens at 8 am. So I stand there outside waiting for someone to come and open the door or at least tell me something and nothing! There's workers inside who be passing by and ignore me! I called the store 3 times to let them know I'm outside waiting for someone to let me in and nothing! I live in Cleveland tx so this is the closet petco to me but it's still a drive for me. I was going to do stuff around the area while I dropped my little one for her grooming. Since they did not want to acknowledge my presence I left. I'm paying for a service! I'm not getting anything for free to just be waiting out there for whenever they want to attend me. It was such an inconvenience for me. If I could I'd leave ZERO STARS just for that! Well, this location is a little different. It's got a different layout than the other locations I've been too, but things are pretty self explanatory, once you take time to look at the layout. There are all the brands you would expect at Petco and all the amenities, like grooming, dog training, and adoption days. We were there when they were doing doggie adoption and it was dog-demonium i that place. Despite all the craziness and racket, everyone who worked there was polite and helpful. We were able to get what we came for, premium hairball food for our new kitty girls and an idea of further hairball treatments that we have available, should the food not be enough. One of the new kitties is a fur bomb with claws. Serious furriness here. This place is not in a strip center you'd likely think of having a Petco, since most of the stores have been angled at high end retail, but it's a perfect location for folks in Kingwood to stop by on their way home, since it's on the inbound side of Kingwood drive. It's convenient to me for stopping on my way home, so I will be dropping in many more times. read more

I literally have no words. I took Lucy to her grooming appointment this afternoon and while I was waiting to get the ok I heard the lady grooming a dog(with the door closed & hairdryers etc. going) scream extremely loud to STOP! I could see the reflection through the glass and watched her jerk around this poor dog that was MAYBE 10lbs and was trying to comply. I am gutted. Lucy was behind on one of her vaccines and I'm so thankful. I will never bring my dog here, I'm so glad that I was able to see how they were before they got their hands on my dog. I was in the hunt for a double leash (two collar clips but one handle) for my pups and some shampoo for their allergies. I went to the "other one" first and they had a huuuuuuuuge selection of shampoos and sprays for dry skin and allergies but no double leash. So i decided to go over to this Petco to see what they had since i had never been. My first impression was great. Store was clean and it was laid out different than a typical store but their selection is SO minimal. They did have the leash i wanted but for way more than i wanted to spend and they had 3 shampoos for allergies. Nothing that seem medicated just a petco brand and two other "foo foo" brands. I ended up going back to the other store and buying the GNC spray. Needless to stay i wil stick to the other store for all my needs. This was just didnt cut it. read more

My first time in this store! I really liked the Manager Todd. I had phoned before I came in to see if they had what I needed in stock. (A dog stroller) He checked on it for me and had it in the front at the checkout when I arrived. As a disabled person this meant so much to me Todd. :) I also had my little Chloe's nails trimmed, Tatiana did an excellent job. I was so impressed with her as Chloe is a very nervous dog. I usually get her nails trimmed at my vet, but this Petco is so close to my Apartment and will be so convenient for me. Don't go to this location for grooming! We've been loyal Petco customers for years until today. Last week we called on Saturday to see if there were any appointments available and they told us no so we asked if there was anything available for next Saturday and they booked our appointment. Today we called to confirm it and they told us that we no showed yesterday. The person who spoke to us was rude and didn't want to acknowledge that they've made a mistake when the only thing we wanted to know was if they had anything available for today. When we asked for her name she said she was the manager. It's unbelievable that such a rude individual could be in management. Will never go back to this store. read more
