I have never paid $100 for a groom on my 27 pound dog. It was a basic ( see how his cut is now? Keep it only an inch shorter. He is now 100% shaved everywhere except his ears. They said they trimmed his nails then I had to pay extra to get them " buffed with the dremal. Eye cleaning? Extra. Anal gland expressed? Extra !! And I paid $25 to the portable nail trimmer at ACE to get his nails really cut.... Definitely would not recommend . read more

Honestly Petco is so over priced it's pitiful! This is the response I received: Thank you for taking the time to provide honest feedback on your recent visit. I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations. We actually stopped doing case prices several years back, however if this was an advertised buy X amount and get X off then we absolutely should have taken care of the purchase. As to the COVID (PRICE GOUGING) reason the only issue this has been giving us is delays in shipment, product availability and other distribution issues. I was in a hurry and grabbed a bag of dog food that specified it was on sale. the tag even stated that. when I got to the register they would not validate it. even tho the sale had ended "they said" I stated it was marked at a lower price. this place is awful the merchandiser stated i picked up the wrong bag. BS. what a disgrace. he was in the wrong and the cashier was trying to cover him. ugh bad service and terrible attitude. They were horrendous to me as a customer. Never coming here again read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I took my dog here because PetSmart grooming was booked for weekend. I only wanted a regular bath and they convinced me to pay $30 extra dollars for de shedding shampoo so that my dog wouldn't be shedding like crazy afterwards. I trusted them with my beloved dog, and they did nothing but disappoint. My dog was returned still wet, and because of time constraints I decided it wasn't as big of a deal, but that lead him to smell like wet dog for the rest of the week. I'm pretty sure he wasn't even properly brushed. I have gotten de shedding treatments at PetSmart and my dog sheds 1/10th of what he shed after picking him up from Petco. He is shedding like crazy, which is not mean to happen after the treatment. But what makes this the worst decision I have ever made, is the fact that my dog's neck was injured and I was not notified about it. He was scratching like crazy after I picked him up, but because we were staying at my friends, I assumed it was just dust. Yesterday I finally decided to give him no collar free time, and realized he had a big dried blood chunk. His collar isn't tight, so it wasn't an injury from that. It took an hour and a half for me to cut through the chunk. The wound was small but pretty bad. He now has a bald spot the size of two quarters on his neck. No one that bathes dogs properly would have gone with that unnoticed had it been there before I had taken him to Petco. I spend additional money to treat his wound after that. I feel terrible for trusting my pet to them. I payed them $84 for basically nothing. From now and on, I'll stay loyal to PetSmart, where he's always return in the best condition possible. read more

First of all let me start by saying I love Petco, this location is just not that. On the groomer side. I got to speak with Maria (manager) that was a total waste of time. Groomer Noel was has great customer service but there is zero training at this location I witness a young female groomer hurt a dog while doing his nails. Elija at the front desk fails to explain anything "sing here, here and here we'll call you". Usually I pay 40ish for a hair cut here at Petco but this time it's close to 70ish. That's almost two haircuts lol this location just sucks. I can see that hiring is though, I guess. read more

PetCo has been a great place for me to pick up my dogs medicine (she doesn't move like she used to). I recently decided it was time to bring another doggy into my home and I found a great selection of crates, toys, food and leashes. The prices are ok, and even better if you can catch a sale. For you Cesar Millan fans out there PetCo carries his brand. I love their doggy treat bar. You pay by the pound and it's mix and match. They also have a good rewards program which is great for those of us who may frequent. You'll get coupons to their stores and online. Their associates are pet owners too and love to talk about them and your pet as well. Bring your dog along next time you go, there are clean up kiosks in case she makes an 'uh oh'. The staff love to talk to them and spoil them with some goodies as your checking out. read more

I am new to the area and set an appointment to have my small Jack Russell groomed. This is a short haired well behaved dog that doesn't take much to groom. Apparently an appointment doesn't mean much to this store. When I arrived to drop her off all the groomers were working on other pets. Normally someone would be finishing up and in a short time be ready for the next client. I don't think this was the case here. If you don't want your pet to set in a kennel and wait for "their appointment" you are charged extra. I was told it would take about two hours. No way should it take two hours to groom this little dog with an appointment. When I arrived a little early to pick her up I could see her being worked on. No effort was being made to properly brush her. The groomer had to stop to wait on someone picking up their pet. Maybe the groomer had two appointments at the same time? When I got her home I noticed her nails were horrible. Apparently there was no effort made to do them properly, either. They were different lengths and were very sharp when she put her paws on me. When she walked onto the kitchen tile you could hear them making contact on the floor. What a joke. If trimmed properly they should not touch the floor. On top of everything whatever cheep product they used to bath her with left her skin dry and flaky. I will never refer anyone to take their pet to Petco for grooming. Never have I been charged so much to have so little done. I'll be looking for a real groomer in the future. read more
