When I was out of work for 4 months, the owner not only refused to accept any tips, she groomed my dog for like half price if that just so I could afford it. She's really such a nice person that I enjoy chatting with on groom days. I do not care if I move across town, I will be traveling to her to bring my pets as long as she is still open.

My situation is one that requires bringing my dog to daycare every weekday as I now have a lengthy commute and no way to ensure my pup is exercised properly during the day. During my process of vetting and interviewing with a handful of capable dog daycares in the Frederick, MD and Hanover, PA areas, I was referred here. Some of the pros are that the facility/campus is beautiful. It has a plethora of amenities for every dog. The staff seem pleasant and knowledgeable and definitely love what they do. The hours are great for accommodating a range of schedules, especially those needing an early morning drop off. Some of the cons are the prices. They add daily fees if you'd like them to feed your dog a snack, even if you provide it. Moreover, as someone who voiced that I was looking to commit to everyday use for a guaranteed year time frame, they we're unwilling to offer any sort of package rate. Lastly, drop offs without 24 hour notice are not permitted. Let's say I would like to use them in a part-time capacity - my daily schedule can change at any time and it's sometimes not possible to plan that far ahead. Overall, I might have used their services more regularly if some of their policies were different, but it simply cost too much and required too much foresight to make it happen. Mags and Me is a more reasonable facility located just down the road. Give them a call first.

I was skeptical about using a different groomer as Milo has only had 2 groomers his entire life, I drop Milo off and was greeted by one of the owners, he was welcoming and greeted me right away, the other lady at the desk didn't even smile, not very comforting at all. I was told previously that all Milo's records would remain in his chart including the details of his grooms, I was asked at drop off if there was anything special I wanted for today, I advised to do just his normal cut, nothing else was asked. Typically Sue would come out talk to me and take Milo back but with new ownership the owner took him back, I asked via the app several times who his groomer was and didn't find out until 2 days after his cut. After receiving a text that Milo was ready he was picked up, I was sent a picture of his cut and I had to take a double take, he was completely shaved! Never in his 6 years of life has he ever been shaved so low, I was shocked, even questioned if he was even my dog. I messaged the company very nicely and asked if the groomer ran into complications that I was not aware of and that's when I was told "he was matted all over" and the next sentence was "we were under the impression you wanted a fresh summer look since his last groom was February", (which was it?) again Milo has never been shaved that low his entire life, Sue always praised me on how amazing Milo's coat was. Also, Milo had to be taken to his previous groomer in April due to a scheduling conflict with wet your whiskers and his last groom was not February, but goes to show that they do have Milo's records from the previous owner and would see his previous groomers notes. At that time I asked again who was his groomer, as I was so I didn't book with that groomer again, this was my second time requesting that information. I was not informed of who it was until this morning. I made a review on Facebook and the owners responding on their personal Facebook page insinuating I was bashing their family and company. That was not my intention nor purpose of my post, I was posting my experience. We are entitled to our review so others are aware and decide how to proceed. Even if Milo would have been "matted all over" a simple message would have been nice, not me reaching out to see what happened! Granted Milo did need a spa day, he was due, but that is typical for him, and not once has he ever needed to be completely shaved. His hair will grow back, I know this, I just wish communication was better. I have attached pictures of his past grooms with Sue and his most recent one with a different groomer at Suds n biscuits. I do not have any pictures prior to his most recent groom but I will say his hair was longer as a mentioned before and he was due for a cut. My main concern is, communication is key, if he was matted give the owners a heads up if your doing such a drastic change, send pictures through the portal of the findings, also don't give two different reasons as to why he was shaved! Milo's poor eyes don't even look cleaned and his feet weren't even trimmed correctly.

Our local kennel was booked & we needed to find another one for a few days over July 4th weekend…read more We have not lived in this area very long & the kennel he had used from a puppy, that he loved is 2 hours away. Most were booked & I found Tamora on google maps. I found positive reviews but no website so I called. She had an opening & seemed very nice over the phone. She said she wasn't booked because she doesn't advertise. The day of drop off at 8:00 am, she called & said she had some medical issues with her arm going numb & was waiting for her Dr to call. She said she would call back when she was ready for him. At 11:00am she called & said we could bring him over. So we gathered up his stuff & headed her way. We pulled in at 11:43am, 13 minutes after our originally scheduled time. As soon as we pulled in, my phone rang & she said "I thought you were bringing your dog this morning". She had us meet her at a side door to the kennel. The outdoor runs are gravel laying on the ground. It's not possible to fully clean urine & feces out of those rocks with a pressure washer. We put him in the kennel she pointed to & told her he drinks a lot of water. She grabbed a large bucket of water that was already filled 3/4 of the way from another kennel & put it in his kennel! Reusing water from the last dog? The reservation was 6/30-7/6 but plans got messed up. On 7/2 we called to say we would pick him up 7/3. For 5 minutes all she did was complain about how horrible our dog was. He knocked over his bucket of water & she had to clean it up. The water soaked his blankets, which we brought from home, which made them extremely heavy to carry. He pushed his food bowl with his nose & knocked it over so she had to put a big rock in it. She said she's never had so much trouble with a dog before ..... my husband said "do you want us to just come right now?", she said "yes & I only take cash". She also made the comment over & over while she was complaining that she should charge us extra for all the extra work she had to do!!!! We pull in, my husband knocks on the door & I go back to the kennel. His door was closed to the outside kennel! How does she expect him to poop outside if she's in the house in the AC & leaves the doors shut so the dogs can't go outside?!?! She opens the door to let us in & his wet blankets are laying in front of his cage, a huge rock sitting inside of a small bowl that barely fit 2 cups of food & the water container was hooked to the kennel, which is where it should have been in the first place. She started pointing to the blankets, to the water bucket, the bowl & was complaining non stop. I said "the water buckets should always be hooked for larger dogs so they can't knock them over & he knocked the food over because he was probably bored." My husband was putting the wet blankets in a trash bag & I was getting him out of the cage while she was non stop going off. Then she looks at my husband with an attitude & says "are you gonna pay me?". I couldn't believe her attitude & I pulled his leash & walked out the door. We gave her an extra $10. I put him in the back of the car & jumped in to turn the AC on. We were both so mad, we got out of there before we really told her how we felt. We got about 15 minutes down the road & stopped for food & to get him a treat but when we checked on him, we saw this horrible wound on his snout!!! He was only there for 3 days/2 nights!!! I called & asked her how he got it & she said she never saw anything on his nose. I offered to send her a picture via email or text but she apparently doesn't have those or didn't want to offer them. She kept giving me excuses that dogs like to root around with their noses & my husband hung up the phone. She called back twice after that & I didn't answer. She left voicemails stating that she didn't do anything to him & would like us to stop by do she can see it herself. She changed her attitude & said he had a great disposition, he just did a few bad things. We live 20 minutes from this kennel & the last thing I'm doing is going back there!! He has been home now for 3 days/2 nights & he's still very quiet, depressed & not himself at all. He seems like he was really traumatized & anybody who knows our dog, knows he is high energy all the time. We are so mad & upset & the only thing I know to do is write reviews letting people know what happened there. I wish he could talk & tell me.
