They sell moldy dog food. I bought it yesterday and fed it to my dogs last night. This morning when I fed them breakfast I noticed how moldy the food was. I wasn't paying much attention to it last night but this morning in the sunlight was no way you couldn't notice. I went in for some aquatic products and decided to take a visit to the reptiles and they were in horrible condition. The little one in the picture I have attached is entirely too small to be kept with the other beardies. He's missing toes and is losing his tail to rot. Customer service was not very good. I dont know why but as soon as I entered this particular Petco...I just didn't like it. First of all, I feel the the space of the whole store is too small, everything feels and looks cramped together. It looks like a big disaster. Things weren't in order and that drives me insane!! When I am looking for guniea pig shavings, I expect it to be my guinea pig items, or other small similar creatures...why would would it be by the dog food, like what? The only reason I came here was because I was already in the shopping center and decided that instead of driving all the way to Petsmart (which I obviously now I will be) that I would save time and just make a quick run to Petco, it took me longer to find the shavings than it would have to drive to Petsmart and back. Not happy. Not to mention the checkout clerk was cold and rude. read more

This store was a mess! They completely botched up my online order. I had ordered 2 bags of cat food and a bag of kitty litter. I got an email telling me that the cat food was not available. I went to the store to pick up the kitty litter, and the level of disorder in this store was impressive. I decided to look for my my cat food. There wasn't an empty cart to be found. There was pallet, upon pallet of bags of food all over making it nearly impossible to go down the aisles. I found my 2 bags of cat food in the kitty litter section. How weird! I imagined the staff person who was filling my order put the cat food bags down to pick up the kitty litter and then forgot where they put them or they were just plain lazy. While lugging the 2 10 lb bags of cat food to the front of the store, a kind customer gave me their cart. Then at the register I had to deal with a staff member who was not at all helpful. Brought my dog in to get groomed . For a medium sized 30lb dog, they charged $77. For $77 I was expecting the works. However, I came back and my dog was trimmed, however he didn't smell any cleaner, and his nails, which was the main reason I went in there, were barely clipped, and they weren't even filed! I mean, if I can hear my dogs nails tap on the ground after I get him groomed, something is wrong. If I'm paying $77, I atleast hoped that they would have experience with trimming nails and/or filing them. I am never coming here again, and I suggest you don't bring your pet here either. The groomers should have experience calming dogs down or making sure that they are in a calm atmosphere. Save your money. If you want to get your dogs nails clipped, you're better off doing it yourself or going to the vet. read more

Have taken my Schnauzer to Petco on Seigen several times for grooming. They are very sweet and are good to my dog. The groomers listen to my requests, as well. If anything has been missed, they correct immediately! Very pleased. Would recommend. read more

My girls - two pomeranian/chihuahuas - went once again for their grooming this week. They came home happy but I am even happier because of the grooming that they do to remove the extra hair. One of the babies sheds constantly; she sits in your lap, leaves and there is a small dog of hair left. The other has thicker hair, much more like a Pom, but still sheds. Sending them to Petco for this particular grooming may cost a bit more but I don't have to vacuum every day. So I'm reading other reviews on the side of the screen; people don't seem so happy. But I have had nothing but good results from the groomers since we've been going there, about five years. Even my middle sized rescue dog - a shepherd mix - has always worked out well. My girls seem happy and I know I'm happy! read more

I always say I will never go to this Petco again and every time I give it another chance I leave with the same mentality. The customer service sucks. There was hardly anyone in the store. 2 checkout people and when I had two large dogs and a baby with me no one offered to help get me to the checkout line everyone just stood around watching me struggle to get to the checkout line. I made the comment "I should've taken these two to the dog park before I came here" to the cashier and he COMPLETELY ignored me he didn't say a word to me. DO NOT go here if you're looking for good customer service because it is nonexistent. I would rather drive out of my way than go here to get treated like dirt. read more

I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews, but this place pretty bad. We're actually going to start going to the Petco on the other side of town. We go every two weeks for dog food and always walk around to glance at the animals. Today every reptile was out of water, the geckos had eggs in their water bowl (the males and females are supposed to be separate), there was poop smeared all over the ferret cage glass, and the service is just terrible. As a whole, I like Petco. They have high quality food and other goodies that we like to give our dogs, but this particular Petco could use a good change. read more

We were traveling from the Houston area and called ahead for an appointment. We were told for a simple shampoo this location offered walk in service. We arrived 5 hours later to be told NOPE sorry. An employee gave bad information. AND by the way, we are booked the entire weekend. I spoke with Liz the manager in grooming to see if she could work us in and received a very firm no! I am writing this post because we have an awesome Petco in Sugarland TX and we could have just groomed our baby there. Heavy rain was planned so based on bad information, we decided to get it done in Baton Rouge. We decided to beat the storm and get him bathed once we arrived. No such luck. I purchased dog food and handed the person checking me out a merchandising card when paying for the food. I was filing the receipts when I noticed I was not credited for the amount on the card. I called the store and was told that he gave me back the card, which I have no recollection of this occurring so I emptied my purse and also checked my wallet and did not find the card. I was told there was nothing they could do. This card had an amount of around $25.00 on it. They offered no solution and basically I felt like they were saying that I was lying. they not only lost a customer, I will pass the word to other pet owners of this treatment. read more

This is the worst petco ever !!! Almost all the fish tanks had a dead fish or two in it ... not to mention that the saltwater fish are mistreated, they couldn't even swim in their tank due to a too strong of a current coming from the filter ... I was walking by the tanks and I stepped on a dead feeder fish that jumped out of the water , a lady asked me if I needed help but I wouldn't have known she was a worker due to the lack of uniform she was wearing half of the store isn't even there ... I am still traumatized from stepping on that dead fish ... DO NOT COME HERE, I wish I would've taken pictures the whole place was unorganized and all the reptiles and fish were mistreated. I feel so bad for all the living animals there .. the groomers seemed not to pay attention to the dogs which could possibly lead to a injury of a pet ... please do not come here read more

I go here all the time. They carry the brand of dog food I get for my dogs, so I'm pretty loyal to them (and their 5 dollar coupons for every $100 you spend). They have a good selection of EVERYTHING for many different types of animals, and even more online. The store is always clean, there is generally help to be found if you need it, though you may have to look a little bit. Prices are average for what they carry (except dog beds...dog beds are SO expensive there!). They do a lot of adoption events at Petco which is super dangerous and also great that they work with their communities! read more

I sorry to say that I had to give this store one star. The website would not let me do a half a start. At first the experience was pretty good. Store looked clean. We when in to purchase2 ferrets and all things needed. Yes everything. We had to find a worker to help us and when we told him we were looking to purchase the 2 ferrets he told us that we could not hold the animals unless we planed on buying them. That some what ok. So I agreed to that and that we wanted to buy both animals because they were what we were looking for. One male and one female and a plus they were the colors we wanted. He asked us to germ x our hands and He opened the cage and gave them to my daughters to hold and asked us to wait he was going to help someone else while we looked and let the girls get use to them. He was gone for at least 20 minutes or so. About that time the so called weekend manager came from that back room after feeding his pet bird and talking on the cellphone and told me that I would not of opened the cage and we were not allowed to handle the pets. I told him that a worker opened the cage and that we were waiting for him to come back so we could get the supplies we needed and get the ferrets packed up to bring them home. The guy got real upset and told me that no one is allowed to open the cages and that I could not buy the ferrets because the white male had a cold. Now I have 2 kids crying and wanting to leave because they think they did something wrong and I have to explain to them that the guy is just being an asshole. I go to find the first guy that opened the cage and was going to come back to help us he was talking the a young lady getting her phone number, I told him that we were leaving because of what had happened and that we would not be coming back. After I got the kids in the truck I ate my word and went back inside to get the weekend managers name and the name of his boss. The ass tells me he does not have a boss and that I don't need to worry about the names of their managers I just needed to worry about the ferrets health. Now is that was true than maybe he needs to stop feeding his own bird and help take care of the animals and the customers in the store. The ferrets food was so nasty and had been in the cage for so long the flies were swarming around the bowl the water bottles were dark in color and didn't look like it was fresh. Maybe they need to read up on the care of the ferrets them selves before they assume we don't care about the wellbeing of the animals. I was buying the animals to get them out of the gross environment they were in and to give them a better life. Now to the weekend asshole manager I do have your name and I will be contacting the real people in charge. See I'm not a mean or bad person but when you hurt my kids I will make you wish you handled this matter a little better. read more

I have been very impressed with the customer service at Petco on Siegen Ln. I recently adopted 2 kittens a couple weeks apart. The first time I went was to buy supplies for kitten #1. After we finished checking out, another cashier overheard that I had a new kitten, and came over and gave us a coupon book for new cat owners with all kinds of coupons for the exact items we had just purchased. She then offered to re-ring us in order to apply the coupons, without me having had to ask her to do this. How sweet! The coupons ended up taking around $50 off our purchase. So helpful!! The second time I went in was a few weeks later for kitten #2. A sweet manager named Bill helped me find the right pet ID tag I was looking for but unable to locate. Then, my Petco Rewards I had would not apply, so he simply took the $5 off one of my items. He was very kind and helpful. Another time, I found one of the items I had purchased for cheaper on the Petco website after I had already gotten home. I called and asked if I could be credited the less expensive website price. No problem, they said! I brought the receipt back the next day and just had to show them the item in their website. Such helpful, impressive people. Petco In Siegen will be my go-to pet supply store from here on out. We also have a Lab, a bearded dragon, and a goldfish, so should be coming in quite often! read more

A big box grooming place. The grooming is only so so. The groomers are evidently right out of grooming training.. My 10 year old toothless five and a half pound poodle was evidently was too much for them. I am looking for a groomer with more experience.
