I was concerned at the amount of time I was leaving my dog at home in a kennel. She loves other pups at the dog park and has lots of energy. I had heard mixed reviews and decided to find out for myself what they were all about. We had an interview day that went extremely well everyone was super nice and really loved my dog and they seemed super excited to have her there. It's been a month or so and yeah they are super pricy but totally 110% worth it. Every morning I bring her they know who she is I see her well taken care of on camera and at pick up and drop off. Even off the clock if an employee is there has stopped to say hello to her. I love how excited they get her to play. By the end of the week (Friday) she is totally exhausted and every morning she sits by the door excited and ready for camp. My friends like to pick on me saying I take my kid to school every morning except it's a dog. They aren't wrong she has her first day of camp picture her backpack if she does boarding and baths and they even do cuddle buddy for boarding stays and leave the cutest notes of how she was and acted. ANDD...to top it all off they even have special events for holidays like her Easter egg hunt!!! What can I say she is so spoiled and boujee! Just glad she can get her energy out and I don't have to worry through out the day or feel guilty for having to leave her so long. Camp bow wow is the best!! I just love it and so does my dog!

My champion. He is fighting for his life in ICU at LSU Veterinary Hospital.

Upon meeting the staff at Camp Bow Wow I was initially pleased with the way things appeared to be. I got to look around and decided to go ahead and have my 7 month old Rottweiler stay there for boarding while we went to California. I noticed them spraying the dogs with water in their faces frequently on the cameras and was bothered by how much it was being overused. When I returned home and went to pick him up, he was supposed to have been bathed and given the "spa treatment". He was wet, smelled like mildew, and was only fed half the food that they were instructed to feed him. After being home for a day I discovered that he was sick as well. He is now in ICU at LSU Small Animal Hospital fighting for his life. He has pneumonia in both lungs from aspirating the filthy water they spray at the dogs faces when they are out in the play yard. I reached out to management to try and get at least an apology for half starving him the whole time and nearly costing us his life but I have yet to receive a response. I do not recommend ever leaving your dogs at Camp Bow Wow. Praying my boy survives.

Can even watch your fur babies while they sleep and play via live web cam and apps!

I love camp bow wow! How lucky is Baton Rouge to have such an awesome fun place for dogs! I first met the staff there when I dropped off a foster dig that was really too large to be around my very small dogs. Camp Bow Wow works with the local rescue group Yelp!BR by actually fostering a dog! What? A business helping out without expecting $$ in return? What an awesome group of dog lovers this is! Every camp counselor basically came out to meet Happy their new foster pup. I'd be picking Happy up for adoption events but was still sad to leave her thinking she's get lost in the crowd but I had nothing to worry about. She is loved by then all. And I love the fact that I can watch her on the live cams set up in every play area! This place is Disneyland for dogs!!!

My dog loves it there. I typically bring her in early morning for a day camp. When I pick he up in the afternoon she is worn out. A+

We first started coming just to do training sessions with Patrick (who's amazing!!) and eventually I started leaving her for camp.

Stay away from this place if you are looking for grooming! I…read morealways made my next appointment when I picked up my dog. So my appointment came up and I dropped my dog off at 10:00 for her 10:00 appointment. Right at 1:00 I get a call saying the groomer is having car issues and wouldn't be coming in. I can understand things happen unexpectedly but here is where I have an issue. She was supposed to be to work at 10:00 but you call me 3 hours later to tell me she wouldn't be coming in. At 11:00 when she hadn't showed up, I should have been called and told the situation and given the option to wait and see if she showed up or if I wanted to reschedule. I wondered around for 3 hours just waiting to pick up my dog. I should have been told what was going on! So on to what happened after. I had a call with the "manager". He told me the groomer would definitely be in the following Saturday and rescheduled me for that day. He also offered a discount. Ok fine. Saturday I drop my dog off again at 10:00. I got a call about 12:30 stating the groomer wouldn't be in because of yet again, car trouble. So the manager said he spoke with the groomer and she told him the car was fixed and she would be in. He scheduled this appointment and now I find out he lied! He offered to pick my dog up one day during the week and bring her to the place to be groomed. Some may feel comfortable with their dog being driven across the river by a stranger but I'm not one of those people! They also offered to pay for a company to come get her and again, that's not a good option. How on earth the groomer that hasn't shown up to work in weeks still have a job is beyond me. One of the workers gave me a name and email of the owner because I wanted to speak with them about what went on. Well she gave me a name and email but not of the owner. After walking to the back twice I guess the workers decided it would be funny to not give me the correct information. This place is ridiculous with the lies. The last text I sent o the manager went unanswered of course. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place sure isn't worth your time or money!!!!

I have never loved a vet clinic more! Dr.Kleinpeter is the most gentle, caring, and helpful vet…read moreI've ever come in contact with. The other woman vet was very helpful as well in my previous experience. To give a little insight both of my cats had interesting care needs: one had bladder stones and needed to be put on the diet to help with that and my other has allergies which an antihistamine helped clear that up... I have experience more than five other vet clinics in the past year with both of my cats where they were not treated for the root cause rather than just treating their symptoms... Needless to say, I am so grateful I found this vet because now I am saving myself my cats and my bank account from a lot of trouble. You can fully trust that your pets will get the best care here! Thank you guys a million times!!!

Absolutely love this vet practice. Upfront I'll admit haven't entered the building myself. My mom…read morebrought my two daughters and our family female dwarf hamster (Bailey) when I was at work. Taking Bailey here when we did truly saved her life. We are new hamster owners and didn't know what was happening. She had wet tail, and Dr. Kleinpeter told us (not the kids so as not to worry/scare them) that Bailey had a 50% chance of surviving. They have her fluids at the appointment, and we were able to give her liquid antibiotics for the next week. It's been months now, and she's tripled her weight (she was essentially evacuated when we brought her in) and is fully recovered. Since then, my mom started bringing her new golden retriever puppy and could not be happier with the service provided by Dr. Kleinpeter. Her puppy will need an eye surgery at 6 months, and Dr. Kleinpeter is very knowledgeable on this eye condition and answered my mom's questions before my mom's puppy was even officially a patient. Dr. Kleinpeter truly cares and puts animals' well-being first. Recently, I had to call regarding a concern with Bailey's eye, and the advice they gave over the phone (on a Friday night) was so helpful. We didn't even need to bring her in as what they told us to do was exactly what she needed. Nice to know they have emergency availability here as well as scheduled appointments, surgeries, and boarding. They're a specialty veterinary practice that we were extremely happy to find for our little hamster. I highly recommend and will be back!
