My dog was groomed yesterday and when I picked him up his fur was uneven and choppy. There are multiple spots all over his body where you can tell they took grooming shears, cut too far, and just left it uneven. Years ago, I had two Yorkshire Terriers and always brought them to Di's. Di was a real class act…read moreand always kept her place of business sanitary and tidy. She has passed away and apparently the new owner obviously does not take the same pride in her business. This place should be avoided. Fast forward to today...the salon looks likes it's been abandoned, stacks of yellowed newspapers stacked up in the window, balls of dog hair piled everywhere (no reason for this first thing in the AM), half dead plants and clutter piled in every corner. It's literally just a one room, open space, not sure why it's kept in such a poor, unsanitary condition. I had second thoughts the minute I walked in and saw the state of the salon. I actually tried to take my dog back saying I would bring him closer to 9 (which I had no intentions of doing - my fault I should have trusted my instincts) but the lady assured me they knew how to cut a my dog's breed. I left specific instructions and even texted a photo. I did see several other customers that looked like regulars bringing their poodles in so I figured I would give it a chance. Regret!!! Upon first inspection, I noticed his paw pads were not properly shaved, none of them. I do a better job at home, expected more from a "professional". He was a bit choppy on his legs too which isn't the end of the world but nothing prepared me for the incredibly poor job they did on his backside. Shaved his behind almost bare, butchered the hair on his back legs and chopped some of his full, beautiful tail. Also, left all the hair around his privates long, as though they totally missed the area all together. I called the groomer requesting a refund when I got home after realizing how terribly poor the cut was because now I need to find a groomer to properly shape all the blunt cuts, missed areas and overgrown paw pads. She claimed he was cut to "breed standard" (an overly exposed anus and a chopped up tail is not breed standard!), then she yelled at me saying not to threaten her (which I wasn't, but I did say I would request to have the charge reversed) and then HUNG UP on me. Her response was beyond unprofessional. The groomer also reeked of cigarette smoke (I don't smoke and I don't appreciate my pet being exposed to such an irritant). She was actually outside smoking when I pulled up, leaving the salon unmanned and dogs unattended. Avoid at all costs if you care about actually getting what you pay for in a grooming and prefer not to have your pet kept in an unsanitary, cluttered environment.

There has not been one time I've walked in and they haven't greeted me and tried to help. They are all very knowledgeable about their products too. It's so refreshing to know I'm going to get assistance when I need it and I can trust them. I've had sick dogs and anxious dogs and it's been nice having them offer to see what helps. The more you spend the more coupons you get as well. It's so worth it! A free bag of dog food almost every month! A lot of really great treat choices as well.
