SAVE YOUR MONEY. I took my maltipoo here for a groom with Dillon. First impressions are everything and I could already tell he was having a bad day. He told me they were overwhelmed and had 5 dogs to groom today. I dropped Luna off a 12pm. He mentioned they usually start slow for first timers but I assured him she would be fine as I've been doing mini grooms AT HOME with clippers since she was 2-3 months. Fast forward Izzy calls me to let me know she is done. I ask if she tolerated the full groom and she says "no, my manager said you didn't want the full groom, just face, feet, and fanny." We hang up and Dillon calls back to say there was a miscommunication and Luna was "too tired" for a full groom. I literally brought her home and finished her entire body. I wasted $60 for something I do at home frequently. I will not be back. read more

They were horrible. Charged me $60 to cut around her head vs a haircut. Had me waiting 2.5 hours just for my baby to be sitting in a cage. They were rough with her and said she was trying to bite. this is the worst grooming petco in Tennesse. they let my dog fall from the table. they did not look after her like I told them to. she's almost 11! then they banned me from that petco bc we were too "difficult" and wrote a bad name on my account. they are children that work there. IZZY is incompetent and does not really care about your pet. they tried to turn it on me when I did not even say or do anything mean. didn't even bring it up to the manager. read more

I have a appointment at 1:30 and when I get there,they cancel my appointments because they don't have enough time to cut my dog hair, so the re-schedule me for the next day, and I ask to a lady how much is going to be and she told me 54.00 dollars and when is time to pay I pay 80.00 dollars, I'm not understand why the price go to high from 54 to 80 read more

I don't know why I even bother. The cuts have been sloppy and often look rushed through. On one visit, I specifically asked to have my dog's tail and ears trimmed, and I wound up having to do her ears myself as they were untouched and the store was close to closing. The last three times I've come in, they've "lost" my appointment and I either had to wait, leave my dog for several hours, or reschedule. Nobody ever seems to know what happened. Very clean store. Its very big and well laid out. They employees are great too. The reptile guy, cant remember his name, was great with us while we were picking out our new pet gecko. He explained to my 9 year old son exactly how to car for him and gave us his card and told us to call him if we had any questions about our new pet. The critter cages always seem to be neat and clean and the critters seem to be happy and healthy. Their selection of meal worms is the best I have seen yet. We love petco and enjoy going there and looking at all of their pets, fish, birds, and critters. read more

I had to make a quick run through here on my way home one night, and I must say it had just what I needed. It wasn't too busy and was easy to navigate. Can you do less than a star? The first time taking my dog's (shih-poo & Bichon) here, since our mobile groomer moved out of the area; it will be the last. When I walked in the store, after being called and told my pups were ready I find them still on the table, looks like they are just getting started... Annoyed, but ok, I can waste time with the best of them... I walk around the store a few times, peeking through the window, I observed the"groomers" spending more time in their phones and talking to eachother while my dog's were clearly uncomfortable and on the table. I finally asked for a manager and asked if they could just get my dog's for me, as is (grooming not done) due to the lack of professionalism. The grooming manager is supposed to call me tomorrow, but I highly doubt it read more

I purchased a 36" light for my aquarium as I have for many years. That day at the store they had my $23.99 light with lights priced at $19.99. Red flag when they don't even put the products at the proper location to avoid misunderstandings at the register. At home I found that the light did not fit my hood because it is actually around 30", not 36". I returned to the store to exchange the light. They still have them in the wrong spot. This is literally the worst pet store I have shopped at and I will never return. The employees are incompetent. I found that the one remaining 36" light did not have a 36" light in the box. I asked the employee at the register and she was of no help. She went to get the manager who told me I'll need to call the manufacturer to find out why their 36" lights are shorter than 36". Perhaps she could learn more about the products in her store or at least attempt to help a customers find a resolution. I will never spend a dollar at the Antioch location again. The store has a lot to offer and I've had good experiences with the staff when buying supplies. I used their grooming services the other day and was not pleased. They had scheduled me for 8am but nobody even showed up until 8:20. It was cold outside so I called the store several times to be let in since the actual store doesn't open until 9. I was let in by a friendly staff member, and just wandered the store for a few minutes until I was scolded by another staff for not waiting in the grooming area (which was locked). The grooming staff was not helpful though it was my first time ever taking a dog for a groom and I was unsure of the procedure. I was happy with the actual groom results, but watched them groom another dog who was shaking and terrified but she did not try and comfort him. The overall experience wasn't quite pleasant and I would not return. read more
