Laura is the best and my pups love her - have even let her pluck their ears which is a miracle!

Worst customer service provided by Alexis today when I picked my dog up from a grooming…read moreappointment. She is the sole reason we will be taking our dog elsewhere to be groomed and finding somewhere else to purchase supplies. Her behavior when I pointed out that she had let someone skip me in line (shrugging and rolling her eyes) followed by her argumentative attitude when I told her manager what had happened are unacceptable. This attitude was followed by complete ineptitude and incompetence when she attempted to charge me only $15 for a bath and de-shed. I had to correct her on this so that the groomer would be tipped off of the appropriate base amount. Who knows if her mischarging clients has happened before and caused the grooming staff to miss out on hard earned tips.

Finding Dog Bites Munchery and More has been the best thing for our pup! We used to take our dog…read moreto get his nails trimmed at PetSmart, which was always a hit or miss because sometimes it would be a long wait, then there would be some people who would or wouldn't know what they were doing, etc. Unfortunately our dog ran into some health issues and we can no longer take him to PetSmart since it is not good for him to be around other dogs (not bad for other dogs, just not good for our dog and his poor immune system). I tried contacting multiple groomers and even mobile ones, but they of course would not just come for a nail trim. I contacted Dog Bites to see about their grooming and I have been able to contact them each and every time, to bring Rocky in when no other dog is around or if there is one, someone will hold the other dog in another area of the store while Rocky is the only one in the grooming area. Love that it will never be like a zoo in there since they don't have the space, nor do they cage animals once they are done. They are great with trimming his nails and we have never had to wait long! I highly recommend Dog Bites. They are fantastic and are very friendly! Glad we have found them and can positively say they are now our groomer forever!

This is the kind of review I almost don't want to write because I don't want others to find out how…read moreawesome Laurel Oak is. But, alas, I cannot be that greedy. And this place deserves the praise! We'd previously taken our dog to one of the many other boarding facilities in this area and always been disappointed in the fact that (1) he wouldn't get any exercise because he's not the kind of dog to play with other dogs, he's the kind of dog who wants to walk with humans and (2) he'd always come home smelling HORRIBLE, even if the other boarding places had claimed to have bathed him. Then we found Laurel Oak, and we haven't looked back! We love that our pup gets two walks a day here, plus hours and hours of supervised play time. We love the Facebook posts showing that he's doing okay and "making friends". ;) And we love that when they say he is getting a bath, we can actually tell that he got a bath! This place is not really convenient to our home at all, but we keep going there again and again because we are so happy with the service and attention our dog gets. That alone is a testament to how great this place is.

I had an appointment to bring in my dog to be evaluated for a daycare spot, but before I brought…read moreher in, I spoke with the general manager on the phone to ask about the other Yelp review that stated they use electronic bark collars. She said they no longer use them after they had an incident regarding one, but they allow owners to bring their dogs in already wearing them. I asked about the wording of the waiver owners are required to sign, specifically asking if it had been revised so that it no longer required owners to legally consent to allowing the company to put bark collars on their dogs. She was evasive, stating she hadn't looked at the contract lately, wasn't sure if it had been revised, it was not going to be revised for the next few weeks at least, etc. I said, "Well, if you're not going to put bark collars on the dogs, then there is absolutely no reason why the company would need to keep that part in the contract, right?" She had no answer for that, other than saying "It's for owners who bring their dogs in with the bark collar already on, but we do not provide them." I said, "Well, how is it worded? Does it talk about the owner providing the bark collar, or does it require the owner to give consent for the company to put a bark collar on? Those are two very different things." She could not - or would not - answer that question. I asked her to get a copy of the contract, look at it, and read me the relevant part so we could just get clear on what the waiver actually stated. She said it was available online, but only after I signed up and signed in as a client and gave them all my information. I said, "You can't take 2 minutes to just read me the relevant part without making me go through all that?" She could not. She was busy; she had better things to do than provide minimal customer service on an important issue. Clearly, she had something to hide. My guess is that at this time the contract has not been revised and it still requires owners to legally consent to the company putting bark collars on their dogs. I'm not okay with that. I canceled my appointment. They didn't want my business enough to bother answering a simple yet important question, and I don't want to give my business to a company who requires owners to legally consent to authorizing the company to do what I view as torturing dogs, and tries to hide what they're doing. If you want humane, compassionate care for your furbaby with an above-board, honest and trustworthy company, look elsewhere. There are lots of better options.
