We chose petals as our florist for our September 17, 2023 wedding and everything was absolutely beautiful, my bouquet was perfect my bridesmaids bouquets were perfect, the centerpieces were absolutely gorgeous everything was absolutely perfect and they were able to capture my vision of what I wanted 100%. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for flowers for any occasion. Our color scheme was eucalyptus and greenery with whites so if you're looking specifically for that same idea I can tell you it was amazing and everything looked so good and it really brought everything together nicely, Cyndi was extremely friendly and helpful through the whole thing and I really can't recommend them enough! She takes her time to really explore what your vision is to recreate your vision perfectly, in fact the flowers she chose for my bouquet went beyond my expectations. A few weeks before the wedding she does a mock up of the centerpiece to make sure everything meets your expectations. We tweaked a few things and some of the blooms weren't available yet, so she did a second one. I left there highly satisfied with her attention to detail, and I was blown away once I saw everything in person the day of the wedding. I was referred to this florist for my wedding in November 2009. The only experience with flowers that I've had prior was with buying a boutineer for my prom date in highschool... so I trusted them blindly with all my floral decisions and my only request is that they flowers be only blue and purple. After they forgot to make my sample, they re-scheduled and when I actually was presented with one you could tell it was throw together that morning in 5 minutes with whatever old flowers they had in the back room. The flowers were wilted and just thrown in a vase. Oh and they were pink and lilac... not blue. So after expressing my concern about the dying flowers and the wrong colors, I was rudely told that "Well these are the type of flowers that you picked." Then the florist proceded to become annoyed that we didn't like her dying cheap looking flowers. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt and assumed that maybe my request for only blue and purple flowers was just unclear. After the akward sample meeting though we seemed to have an understanding of what was wrong and what was right so I felt better. On my wedding day, the flowers arrived on time and the delivery girl was beyond nice. As soon as she brought in the box though, she could see from my facial expression and everyone else's that something was wrong. They were still wilty and above all else they were PINK! The bouquets, the boy's flowers and the centerpieces... all pink!!! Obviously at that point it's too late to do anything about it and I just thank God that the bridal party was dressed in black and white. All the guests at the wedding couldn't tell that there was any issue and the flowers were very nice from far away... but they were also very wrong. FYI to future brides: If you want a florist who will work with you and delivers on what you ask for... this is not your florist. Her response to the wilted dying flowers: "We buy them in bulk and we have to work with what we can get." Oh and as an added bonus we got rose petals for free on our placecard table... too bad they were pink as well. read more

Petals handled our October 2008 wedding, and I was so pleased with their work. They truly did an fantastic job. My main flowers were roses and calla lilies in rich reds, oranges, and a touch of yellow to capture the feel of autumn. The bouquets, centerpieces, and altarpieces were beautiful and tasteful. They also embellished the various tables (guest, wedding cake, dessert station, etc.) with fresh red rose petals. It was a simple but elegant touch. Wonderful. I found Petals Inc. through Wedding Wire as I was looking for someone in the north shore area for my wedding at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester. Although the flower arrangements were nice, the customer service with the owner Cyndi was extremely frustrating at times. She can best be described as arrogant and impatient. What is already a stressful experience in planning a wedding, this part should not have been as obnoxious as her "I have been in the business for 25 years I know what I'm doing" attitude. What could have been a more positive review was tarnished by my follow up email post wedding to Cyndi about the mistake in flower arrangements for the ceremony. A one time decision to add pillars and bright flowers turned out to her pointing out that she did not make the mistake but there must have been a miscommunication on my part. Pause... breathe... No one should be belittled by a vendor. As much as she tried to 'offer' an apology, she should have offered a refund for the flower choices they made on their end without letting me know until it was too late. It wasn't that the flowers were awful, but not what we had decided on the one and only time it was agreed upon. The whole condescending tone on their end, when I paid a lot of money for flowers was not needed and nor should any bride-to-be work with this vendor in the future. read more

Cyndi and her team at Petals are simply amazing. I was really specific with what I was looking for and the types of flowers I wanted and she NAILED IT. I was charged a good deal more than I was quoted. When I called back to calmly ask about the additional charges I was treated with great disrespect. They offered no apology for their error and accused me of being crazy for not assuming there would be any extra fees. I do not recommend them based on poor customer service - esp when you're preparing for a funeral. read more

Very disappointed!!! We paid a deposit in the Spring of 2018 for flowers for a Fall wedding and then in May we decided to change our plans and have a small elopement in place of the wedding (based on a change in our financial situation). All other vendors we had reserved prior were willing to work with us in some way, but Cyndi at Petals wasn't willing to be flexible at all. She would not return the $450 deposit (I understand 20% non-refundable clause in the contract), but wasn't willing to let us put the funds towards a smaller event on a different date that would work for both parties. I wouldn't ever recommend working with someone that has so little compassion or flexibility, especially if you are planning for a wedding. Zero stars. read more

We used Petals for our Wedding in August 2011. The prices for our centerpieces were very reasonable being, that they were orchids. They came out lovely, both the vases and the submerged flowers. The people at Petals were very flexible and kind to work with before the wedding ( seeing as how I called and changed my bouquet a week before the wedding.) However, there was a huge mix-up at the church. My sister in law got flowers that were the same as the groomsmen? So of course she didn't wear them. She was supposed to get something different. More importantly, despite showing them many pictures of the flowers at my church for my brother in law's wedding and basically saying to copy what he had, and specifically pointing out where the flowers were to go (in a spot where the church usually has fake flowers) and despite the lady saying she knew our church and knew the arrangements had to be small, the arrangement was made far to big to fit where they were supposed to go. The head lady told us that she was going to be the one to delivery them but she was not. Whoever the delivery people were poorly decided to put the flowers behind the alter??? Thus no one could see them!!! In addition, the spot where my mother in law wanted the arrangement to go, there were those fake flowers that we had talked about with the people at Petals for at least like 20 minutes!! All our pictures have these hideous fake blue hydrangeous in them! We ended up getting back 300 dollars for the flowers that no one could see but I think the fact that the church pictures are ruined now we should have got back all the money my mother in law paid for the church flowers. The lady told us she knew the church and she would deliver all the flowers that day herself. She ended up sending younger help. If it had been the lady who was supposed to deliver them she probably would have remembered our lengthy discussion about the fake flowers and at least asked someone to put them away. Im guessing she also would have had the sense to not put the beautiful (though much too large) arrangements behind the alter where no one could see them. Not only that but because they weren't properly put in the church they looked like funeral arrangements. Again the flowers were beautiful but it is upsetting when you go to an appointment and put your trust in someone who acts like they know it all and have done it all and then they mess up so poorly for your day. My mother in law is by no means rich and she saved for a while to pay for our church flowers and that sucks that it was a downer for her at church that day. Not to mention our pictures and those freaking fake blue flowers!! I would just make sure that you have Petals right everything down for you neatly, no short hand writing. The slip she gave me was messy and I could barely understand it because it was all shorthand. It did not have directions on it. If we had something written down neater and more detailed for both of us maybe all of it could have been avoided. It is also upsetting that when my Dad called to inform Petals about all the mix ups he was told it was our fault and the churches fault. Although we did get 300 dollars back i would think they would have given us more and offered it willingly! All in all love the flowers... upset about the service that day and all the mix ups. read more

They were the first florist I went to see and I went with them right away because Cyndi got my vision immediately and made great suggestions to make it even better! The flowers were everything I had hoped for and more and she even through in some extra bouquets and petals for decoration! Cyndi was always professional, easy to get in touch with and willing to sit down and review everything with me when I started getting needy. This place doesn't even deserve one star!!! I don't even know where to begin. I brought my wedding bouquet here to get preserved once it was ready they called and left me a message told let me know that it was ready. I had just had a baby (yes not even a year after getting married) so I couldn't really go far. I called back and asked if I could maybe pick it up in about 3-4 weeks and the respond was yes but I can't guarantee that ur box won't get hit and scratched. Ummm what?!? I paid over 600 dollars for this and this is what u say to me. Anyway i went to pick it up with the baby. Not only was it not ready and had missing flowers and looked like complete S*^# I waited 45 min for them to finish it!!! Now the last thing is that it has small little bugs in it!!!!! I am so mad I took it here!! One more thing the owner needs to lead some customer service!! So rude and all she said to me was she can give me my money and keep my flowers..wasn't the whole point for me to keep my flowers forever?!?!? read more

Having done business with Petals in the past, I decided to bring my daughter to Petals to plan her wedding flowers. My daughter was pleasantly excited by the response to her ideas and the creative solutions Petals offered. Actually, the extremely creative flower design solutions Petals would provide for her wedding day. The day of the wedding, the guests were extremely complimentary about the table and specialty arrangements highlighting the tables and function facility. I know my daughter was extremely pleased with her bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets. Believe it or not, at the end of the reception guests were fighting, good-nature of course, over who would take the table arrangements home. After hearing many raving reviews about Petals Inc., I decided that I wanted to call them about doing flowers for my wedding in May of this year. I was shocked with the reaction I received on the phone when I called to set up an appointment. I was told that there was no way that I would be able to have them do my wedding in May and that I had waited too long to book my florist. I just got engaged in January, I really didn't wait, I had to cement the venue and other vendors prior to the florist (none of which had issue with the date). I asked if I could come in anyways figuring at least I could do a consult for a price and maybe something would open up, but when I was told that they might be able to fit me in over the phone next Saturday even though it really wasn't worth it since I waited so long, I decided that I would like to take my business elsewhere. No bride wants to be scolded for planning her wedding. First impressions last a lifetime, and it's a shame that Petals would treat their clients in this manner. Best of luck to the next bride, but remember, five months in advance is not enough time for this florist. read more

Petals provided my husband and I with our flowers for our New Years Eve wedding this year. Cindy was so wonderful to work with leading up to the day of our wedding. She was incredibly responsive to emails/calls etc, and even took time to meet with me a couple of times when I decided to change my flower arrangements. She has a beautiful aesthetic and was instrumental in helping me design my dream bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony arrangements. Our flowers were spectacular, breath taking, stunning, elegant and simply amazing. Words cannot even describe how beautiful the flowers looked. I spent a lot of time agonizing over what I wanted and what Cindy delivered was better than I could have dreamed. Every orchid was lush and in perfect condition, every bloom open and gorgeous. I honestly cried when I saw my bouquets, and again when I saw the centerpieces and ceremony flowers. They were just so stunning. The flowers were very important to me and Petals did not fail to deliver nothing shy of perfection. I simply cannot say how happy I am that we used Cindy and Petals for our wedding. I am very disappointed with my recent experience with Petasl Inc. I ordered a pretty bouquet to be sent to my sister as a housewarming gift. The first problem was that the florist did not have the white lillies as pictured in the bouquet. The florist called me to let me know and I gave the OK to substitute. The second problem was that the delivery was made to my sister's neighbor and she did not receive the flowers until late the next evening. The third problem was that the message I had ordered contained significant errors (I.e. the florist left off my son's name from the card and forgot to include half of my message. When I contacted the owner about these problems, she did apologize for the card errors but basically said the delivery was not her fault and refused to give me a full refund. petals did my daughters wedding, first of all cindy is a definite know it all!!! she repeats how long she has been in the business but does not follow threw with her twenty five years plus years, in the business!!! she tells u, although u r the paying customer, how it is going to be!!! she lets u know in no circumstance that she has no patience for any changes or add ons once she meets with u !!! everything she writes on the invoice is shorthand and or scribbles. my daughters bouquets was on this plastic handle which she struggled with the entire day!! there was a so called mix up with our centerpieces, and they were picked up by petals the day after the wedding and the roses were all tossed out!!!! called cindy, and she said that she would put aside some roses for me to pick up, to make a long story short, i did pick them up, they werent the long stem roses that were thrown out, but nine roses that needed to b thrown out!! i dont recommend them as to poor customer service. read more

I used Petals Florist to have my bouquet preserved after the wedding. They told me it would take about 4 to 6 months for the whole thing to be ready. Over a year later I finally just received it. I felt like they pretty much forgot about me for a while. After many months they called and said they weren't sure which frame I wanted (which I had already picked out months and months ago in person at the store). I had to go online and re-find the frame I wanted which just isn't the same as seeing them in person. When all was said and done they didn't offer any discount at all for the inconvenience. In fact when I asked for a break in the price due to all the issues they told me "it's not like it's pain and suffering". They refused to discount me even a dollar and told me they didn't have time to discuss this any further because they were busy and had other things to do. They told me I could take it or leave it. I obviously still paid for the whole thing.... over $600... because I can't really replicate the bouquet from my wedding day but I felt like they were less than helpful, less than understanding, and less than fair. Even though the flowers are pretty I would not recommend them for bouquet preservation just because of how they handled the whole situation. :-( read more
