Keegan was the partner florist/preferred vendor for our wedding venue, and we worked with her over 3-4 months for ceremony floral, bouquets, boutonnieres, and reception centerpieces. We were lucky to have an initial meeting with her in person at the venue in CA, since we live in NC. She listened to what we wanted, and created a detailed proposal for all the arrangements, with photos of the flower choices, which was really helpful. After signing the contract, we were pretty hands-off. I was nervous about not being able to see the flowers until the wedding day, but I am so glad I just trusted in her, and we were blown away by the results. I really think Keegan successfully designed arrangements that reflected our personality and helped make our wedding unique and beautiful. Our mothers were so happy! Thank you, Keegan! (+) Easy to work with/communicate with via email, very responsive and thorough when answering questions (+) Great about sending photos as examples when clarifying items in the contract (+) She was able to use all of our favorite flowers that we requested in the arrangements (+) Stunning arrangements were the real wow factor and our guests were all impressed (+) We trusted her creative expertise, and the floral colors and textures turned out amazing together (+) We sent her samples of the bridesmaids dress color and tie colors for the groom and groomsmen, and she was able to use ribbons that were an exact match (+) When she delivered the flowers on the wedding day, she even gave us tips on how to hold the bouquets during the ceremony (-) The only thing we were not 100% satisfied with were the floral garlands. We stumbled upon Keegan's work as we were touring one of our first venues. From what we saw of her style and arrangements we fell in love. We had an initial phone consultation with Keegan and explained what style and arrangements we were looking to incorporate into our special day. From that meeting we created a Pinterest board to share with her. She quickly put a document together with her ideas and quotes. From the document we could tell she absolutely nailed the style we were looking for. She provided a bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, flower girl head bands and baskets, centerpieces, garland for our sweetheart table, altar flowers, flowers for the pews, and cake flowers. We even had her decorate a wagon we bought on Etsy for our ring bearer to pull our pet turtle down the aisle. She is an amazing listener, and understood exactly what I was looking for as far as colors and arrangement style. I started communication with Keegan early this year (January 2nd to be exact) regarding centerpiece arrangements. We exchanged 35+ emails in regards to my big day! My big day is just around the corner and about three weeks ago I decided to follow up with ALL my vendors to make sure we are good to go and set. Mind you, my wedding date is August 11 and she texted me yesterday morning saying that she CANNOT commit to arranging my centerpieces. WHY? I needed to sign a contract and place a deposit, HOWEVER, in the 35+ emails we exchanged, she did not mention AT ALL a deposit or contract needing to be signed. I double checked this. Why did I think we were set and good to go? 1) We had a phone meeting and agreed on what the arrangement for centerpieces will look like. (Awesome!) 2) She signed a vendor consideration packet for me (Great!) 3) She provided her insurance to provide for my venue (Yay!) I reached out SEVERAL weeks ago to finalize flowers with her and to inquire about more arrangements that I thought I needed. Her reply, was that she would get back to me and that she is super super busy. I am extremely patient, therefore I waited. Now that my wedding is THREE weeks away, I decided to text her and ask "So... are you able to do my wedding because I have not heard back from you". Her reply was that she books clients 5-15 months in advance and she cannot devote time and planning so close to the date. UNDERSTANDABLE. BUT I REACHED OUT SO LONG AGO. HOW CAN YOU TELL ME THAT YOU BOOK CLIENTS 5-15 MONTHS IN ADVANCE?! I DEFINITELY was NOT trying to book THREE weeks ahead of the wedding date. WHAT CRAZY BRIDE WOULD DO THAT?! She had me under the impression that we were set to go for my big day.. this news I received yesterday was so disappointing. At least let me know when I initially contacted several weeks ago.. but she had me waiting. ADVICE for Keegan: 1. Let your clients know RIGHT WHEN A CLIENT INQUIRES your policy of booking. (Since you require a deposit and a contract signed that I never knew about) 2. Perhaps FOLLOW UP with clients if you are awaiting for these kinds of things to be done to book the day. I received no emails. How was I supposed to know that I needed to reach out to you to give you a deposit to book?! 3. Get back to your "potential" clients AS SOON AS THEY EMAIL YOU if you are NO LONGER able to work their wedding day. Why did I have to wait several weeks from you to know that you "cannot devote time and planning"? I emailed you several weeks ago to finalize, but you kept me waiting to finally tell me you CANT work with me anymore. I am seriously a VERY patient and "chill" bride. I can only imagine this situation to arise for someone else and the STRESS that would PILE ON for them! I pray this happens to no one else. Keegan is great. She was very flexible and helped bring my vision to life. She knew exactly the style I was going for and help me create it within budget. We wanted a more rustic style wedding to the theme of a music concert so I wanted to have flower in my hair versus the traditional veil, however I wasn't a big fan of flower crowns, so Keegan was able to create a beautiful flower comb that was delicate and beautiful. She was also very flexible and responsive, and was able to deliver us the bride/groom accessories the day before so that we could have it in time for the photographer. Loved working with her. As a wedding planner, I had the privilege of working with Keegan on a wedding I was coordinating. When we met, I was simply floored by her artistic ability in making florals truly stand out as the highlight and focal point of the entire wedding.
