Lo and behold, I never received said shed. My attempts at updates with customer service via email and phone calls (their line was disconnected) received no response. So I checked my credit card and it was charged to this place. I called this pet salon and they claimed they had no idea what I was talking about shed wise so I put in a dispute with American Express. Much to my surprise friends furever pet salon sent American Express a bogus sales receipt from my credit card. Again, I have never stepped foot inside this salon nor heard of it until my credit card was charged to this place instead of the shed place. I do not have any pets to be groomed in any place let alone why I would take them out of state if I had them.

The first time I didn't know his sensitivity to being cut that short, so I didn't place blame. However!! The second time I explained in full- do NOT use a razor/short blade near his bum. They did anyhow. I also believe them to use excessive force when cleaning the ears. Lastly, when I dropped him off and picked him up- he was placed in a standard size kennel (3ft by 4ft'ish)... With three other dogs! Between the recent dog flu, ticks/fleas and his size of 65-70lbs- individual space is best. I can tell from experiences at other groomers, as well as my dogs reaction to this place, that HL is nowhere I would bring my pets or recommend to others.

I would understand this charge if we picked up our dog at 5 pm but 30 minutes seems ridiculous! I never complain on yelp just shocked and feel overcharged. Jokes on them we would have given those ladies a tip and bought dog treats. Sadly I don't think we will go back.

Her schedule books up really quickly- and that's a good sign for any groomer. People like her and her team at Hounds Haven. She has helped my dog recover from major skin and hair loss (alopecia) issues. She uses hypo allergenic shampoo and is really gentle with her. The CBD oil that Kim sells has benefited this dog along with the melatonin treatment I have her on. As long as you're respectful and pick up your furry friends on time, Hounds Haven is sure to be an exceptional option for you and your pup!

That was only mentioned once she arrived at my home, after the appointment had already been set. From the beginning of the visit, she seemed annoyed that my puppy was barking and commented that she was "loud." There was no effort to help my puppy feel comfortable or ease her into the grooming process, which is especially important for a young dog's first grooming experience. I also told her that my puppy tends to resist handling and she responded with "too bad". She proceeded to put a neck leash on her and began dragging her when she would not cooperate. I expressed concern about the use of a neck leash and the way she was being pulled, and she responded that my puppy was "fone"and that she "wouldn't strangle herself." Throughout the entire appointment, I was extremely worried about my dog's safety due to the cold, dismissive handling of a very young and anxious puppy. In addition, we were not satisfied with the result. We paid $105, and she did not provide an all over trim which was the entire purpose of booking the appointment. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this groomer. A gentle, patient approach and clear communication about services are essential when working with puppies/animals, and neither was provided here.

My poor Cavachon was long overdue for grooming, and after having to cancel yet another appointment with his regular groomer, I found Heather online and reached out on a whim. She responded with genuine kindness and compassion, and even stayed late on a Friday just to fit us in--knowing we wouldn't be regular clients. Not only was she incredibly accommodating, but she also did an amazing job. My pup looked (and smelled!) so much better and clearly felt great afterward. I truly can't say enough about Heather's professionalism, talent, and heart. If you live in the Traverse City area, I highly, highly recommend her!
