Lo and behold, I never received said shed. My attempts at updates with customer service via email and phone calls (their line was disconnected) received no response. So I checked my credit card and it was charged to this place. I called this pet salon and they claimed they had no idea what I was talking about shed wise so I put in a dispute with American Express. Much to my surprise friends furever pet salon sent American Express a bogus sales receipt from my credit card. Again, I have never stepped foot inside this salon nor heard of it until my credit card was charged to this place instead of the shed place. I do not have any pets to be groomed in any place let alone why I would take them out of state if I had them.

My opinion is they don't have a very accommodating personality for military families. Why do I say this?... My husband is in the Army reserves and from time to time I (his wife) needs to meet up with him away from home. As for military plans, if your familiar with what military life is like ... Plans can change often & last minute. I normally have others watch my dogs in my home but have reserved reservations twice with Hyer Luv and needed to cancel those reservations because our plans for travel were cancelled. I understand completely the facility plans for accommodations and probably Turns away other inquiries when full. They officially sent me a email declining me further service from them. So sad! Maybe they should do some soul searching for military support. Big daddy drill & Momma drill

The first time I didn't know his sensitivity to being cut that short, so I didn't place blame. However!! The second time I explained in full- do NOT use a razor/short blade near his bum. They did anyhow. I also believe them to use excessive force when cleaning the ears. Lastly, when I dropped him off and picked him up- he was placed in a standard size kennel (3ft by 4ft'ish)... With three other dogs! Between the recent dog flu, ticks/fleas and his size of 65-70lbs- individual space is best. I can tell from experiences at other groomers, as well as my dogs reaction to this place, that HL is nowhere I would bring my pets or recommend to others.

Since I moved to GR (almost 3 years ago), this is the place I take my girl to. I found North Bark,…read moreI'm pretty sure through Yelp actually, and at the time had picked it because it was affordable AND near my apartment at the time. In the last couple of years they've definitely gotten busier, but I never have a problem getting my pup in within a week or two of my desired time frame. It's more typical for me to get an appointment scheduled within the week I call. I love that they do a great "standard" treatment (brushes out, washed, nails, anal gland expressing, & ears) for $40. Compared to places I'd gotten my pup groomed at, North Bark is wayyyy more affordable. They do a great job too! She always comes out with some sort of bow on her color, fitting the season or holiday. Another thing I really appreciate is the open environment in the back. So while my pup is waiting for me or waiting for her turn, she gets to socialize with other dogs. They offer doggy day care as an option, and I have had her ferminated (I think that's the right word) for when she's really blowing her coat... This time I took her in, she had a hot spot. I gave the groomer a heads up and they made sure to watch the spot. I can say enough how much I love taking her here for her grooming needs!

When I moved to Florida, Bobbi went above and beyond by connecting with Angela at VI Pets in North Port and sharing Avi's grooming notes. It made Avi's first Florida grooming experience seamless! My husband was in a meeting that went longer than expected. The dog was finished at 2:30 we picked him up at 3 pm and they charged us an additional $30 Boarding fee what? They do a nice job grooming dogs but could definitely work on their consideration and general kindness to customers. I would understand this charge if we picked up our dog at 5 pm but 30 minutes seems ridiculous! I never complain on yelp just shocked and feel overcharged. Jokes on them we would have given those ladies a tip and bought dog treats. Sadly I don't think we will go back.

That was only mentioned once she arrived at my home, after the appointment had already been set. From the beginning of the visit, she seemed annoyed that my puppy was barking and commented that she was "loud." There was no effort to help my puppy feel comfortable or ease her into the grooming process, which is especially important for a young dog's first grooming experience. I also told her that my puppy tends to resist handling and she responded with "too bad". She proceeded to put a neck leash on her and began dragging her when she would not cooperate. I expressed concern about the use of a neck leash and the way she was being pulled, and she responded that my puppy was "fone"and that she "wouldn't strangle herself." Throughout the entire appointment, I was extremely worried about my dog's safety due to the cold, dismissive handling of a very young and anxious puppy. In addition, we were not satisfied with the result. We paid $105, and she did not provide an all over trim which was the entire purpose of booking the appointment. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this groomer. A gentle, patient approach and clear communication about services are essential when working with puppies/animals, and neither was provided here.

Between caregiving, work, and constant travel, my own needs--and my pets'--have had to take a back seat. Not only was she incredibly accommodating, but she also did an amazing job. My pup looked (and smelled!) so much better and clearly felt great afterward.
