Michelle groomed my little Zoey's hair for over 15 years and when Michelle left another location and moved here - you can bet I didn't hesitate to follow her. She is truly amazing - patient, kind, and so VERY GOOD at what she does. This place also has a wide array of pet food, treats, and other various supplies. I have found that the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when I'm looking for products. And, they also remember and recognize you and your pet(s) - even the ones that aren't yours that you show up with on occasion! Lastly, they are just dog people here! They have openly told me that it's totally okay to bring my pup here on those cold days when it's not safe outside - and to just walk her around the store for exercise - no purchase necessary. It's things like that that keep you coming back.

That being said, moving to Portland, I was very nervous to find a new groomer, but Port does a great job with her. They are caring, and they get grooming over with quickly and effectively. Her haircuts have never looked so good, and she comes home smelling fresh and clean. They genuinely run a sound family business, and I am glad to bring my dog here. I worried that she might leave one day after becoming the head groomer, and was lucky enough to get her to share her contact info with me. Based on the business's stated hours as being closed on Mondays, and the fact that no one answered the buissness's phone, he reasoned there had been a mix up, and that there was no appointment. Shortly thereafter, I received a text stating our appointment was cancelled, as dog had not arrived. I tried calling, no answer, no outgoing message picked up. I decided to text back to the number that told me our appointment was cancelled, and then I received a phone call from the INCREDIBLY BELLIGERENT owner, Matthew, who, like the previous reviewer stated, yellled at me, said if I had listened to the outgoing message, I would have understood that even though the business is closed on Mondays, the groomers are still there (the absolute disconnect between what "closed" means and "groomers are still there" apparently makes sense to Matthew. When I later listened to the outgoing message in full, I found no message at all saying "business is closed but groomers are there" :: he lied about that); he then hung up on me. Anger issues does not begin to describe this person's disposition. Suffice to say, we will NEVER go back, and I would advise any potential customer to go anyplace else. Anyplace at all. Again, I wasn't expecting much, I know stores like this cater mostly to cats and dogs (the little bakery here for puppos is adorable!). *BEDDING: They've got Carefresh natural in 60L which is my go to (and often unavailable online); Kaytee Clean & Cozy Natural is also a good second option and they've got that too! *HAY: If I'm going to get a corporate brand, I think Kaytee is better than Oxbow (DM me and I'll tell you why), and they have both here. They also have good sales compared to online! *SNACKS: Even though their website says otherwise, every time I've been here I have NOT found any Kaytee Timothy Hay Cubes (which we go through a lot of) OR Kaytee Timothy Hay Baked Apple Treats (which is the naughtiest thing our bunny eats). So I can't get everything I need here like I can at the Portland location. Bummer. There's also not a lot regarding toys for enrichment or engagement; more plasticky things or very processed things that I'm not comfortable having my rabbit consume personally. The staff seems patient and my first visit I was checked in on a couple times (probably because I was lingered in the small pet section for ages).
