You can call me anytime to make this right. You have my contact information. Your outpouring of support in response to this review doesn't excuse that you failed to report a severe illness that was reported to your facility. I will be sending my medical bills for my dog your way and hopefully in a good faith effort to make this right you will offer to pay for them while also reaching out to pet owners in the future when disease is reported. Best doggy daycare! Caring staff and my dogs are always toast when they get home! Would highly recommend.

We spent the month of July in Portland and needed a good doggie daycare for our sweet Jack Russell mix. Roscoes was there for us. Once they met him, they said we could drop him off any time they were open. The staff were wonderful! Our dog was happy when we dropped him off and when we picked him up. I really appreciated their "report cards" and photos of our dog with his friends there. We can strongly recommend them! read more

This has been such a great place for day care for my dog. She is a bit timid and has had some issues socializing in the past, but Roscoe's makes every effort to make their play areas accustomed to her needs. Rather than 1 or 2 giant rooms where dogs get stuck together, there are around 6 pens for dogs of different sizes and energy levels. Is my dog tired? She can go in a low-key area. Has energy? Great, she can play with the peppy dogs. My pup has made friends while at day care and is much more willing to properly engage while in public. It has really helped and I really appreciate all of the staff. I've been using their services for a few months and everyone is happy and seems to love their job. One of the biggest perks are the great photos you receive at the end of the day as their "report card". We can never have enough photos of our pets. They also offer other bathing and grooming and boarding services, but I have not yet needed to use them. The only con I can think of is that their webcams picture quality isn't the best so I can't always spot her. I should probably just get back to work instead of watching all day anyway! read more

I absolutely love taking my 4 month old puppy here for the puppy program. As soon as we walk in for drop off the front desk recognizes her and welcomes her in. When I pick her up the front desk staff is always familiar with her and compliments her. It's so nice going somewhere that remembers your dog and appreciates spending time with them. Amazing facility! And even more amazing STAFF! We were one of Roscoe's first clients in March 2016 when they opened and have been happily attending since. Our Belgian malinois has received nothing but the best care whether it's been at daycare, overnight stays or extended stays. Roscoe's is an absolute dream come true for my dog Mae and I! I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Seriously, if you love your dog (and I know you do), go here! I moved up to Portland almost 2 years ago and have struggled to find a great doggy daycare for my anxious pup. From the very first visit, Ashley and the rest of the staff have been amazing! They understood that Mae would need some time to get comfortable there and they have been as excited as I am to see how much she has come to love it there! Now Mae starts to get excited when we turn down the road because she knows she's in for a great time! The hours are wonderful and accommodate my long nurse shifts. It makes me feel so good to know that she's in wonderful hands when I have to work! Also, the daily email report cards are such an amazing touch! Initially, they helped calm my fears that Mae would be experiencing separation anxiety while she was there...now they practically bring me to (happy) tears to see how much the staff care about my pup. This facility is amazing! We were on vacation during October 2018 in South Portland, Maine. We used this facility for our Rescue Boxer. I can't say enough positive things about the wonderful staff. I have never written a Yelp review before but I just have to write one for Taylor and the whole staff at Roscoe's Bed and Bark. I was so worried about bringing my puppy to daycare (he's a sensitive soul :), but when I picked him up he actually looked like he was smiling and his tail was a waggin. He has been in their puppy program this summer and it couldn't have been a better experience! He's always excited as I bring him in, the staff are so nice and always remember his name. And he always comes out with a big smile! I enjoy being able to check in on him with their webcams and the report cards and pictures they send are always very sweet. The one time they were worried about him they let me know right away and handled him with such care and professionalism, even calling to check in on him later that evening! The staff and owners go above and beyond in every respect. They're responsive to any concerns and genuinely love and care for the dogs like they are their own. I couldn't be happier and am so grateful he's got a safe and happy place to be when I need someone to watch him! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Roscoes. My dose is a rescue and very scared of humans. Roscoes was so patient with Cal and understood his needs. After a couple of months Cal grew to love every single one of the staff members! He jumps for joy whenever he walks through the door. This is beyond the most wonderful place. I started taking my rescue Collie mix puppy Tallulah here when she was 7 months old after a recommendation from a friend and colleague last month. Tallulah has a ton of energy and I wanted her to have the opportunity to socialize with other dogs. She can be pretty shy around people she doesn't know initially and I feel I'm seeing growth in her after each time she comes to Roscoe's. You aren't just watching her every day - I feel like you are teaching her new things she needs to know. She gets so excited when I ask her if she is ready to go here. From day one when I met Megan, every single member of the staff has been nothing short of amazing. So friendly, so kind, always know Tallulah immediately and I feel like they really love her! That means the world to me. It takes a lot for me to trust people to care for my dog. Thank you for making us both feel so comfortable. Everything here is top-notch from access to the video cameras to the daily report cards to the amazing photos you get each night your dog attends. I honestly don't think there are enough wonderful things for me to say about Roscoe's. I came to them after having a poor experience with another facility in town and at a time my dog needed a lot of special care (after two paw surgeries). I had to go out of town for work, but was in a panic to leave him after being so sick for quite a while. Roscoe's was recommended to me and they blew me away with their care and special attention. They've done everything from wrap my dog's foot daily to give him nightly soaks in epsom salt. Their daily report cards and photos always make my day when I'm on the road and I always rest easy knowing my boy is getting the same love and attention he would at home. We absolutely love Roscoe's! The facility is extremely clean and the staff is professional. They are always very complimentary to my dog, Lu and seem genuinely excited to see him. He always comes home very tuckered out and happy. He gets a ton of exercise while he is there. You need to do a short and easy interview where they personality test your pup. Ashely, the owner is really awesome and easy to talk to. Once you get started, they send you daily report cards with the cutest pictures. I got an extra cute video once of Lu splashing happily in the kiddie pool. We are so happy with Roscoe's we have a punch pass which is a substantial savings and Lu goes twice a week. Lastly, if you are looking to support a fantastic local family, these are the folks! Ashley and her husband, Court (the owners) are sweet locals with a growing family. Court is a teacher and Ashley runs the business. They are really awesome people and I am very happy to support them! read more

Roscoes is fantastic! I have only taken my furry child Coco to one other doggie day care and let me just say I will never take her else where. I recently took a week long vacation and was super nervous to leave her. At Roscoes they assured me they would take great care of her and I could even check in on her via webcam. This made the separation anxiety so much easier. I also called them while I was away to check on her and even though I thought I was being a little crazy they assured me it was fine for me to call and gave me the full overview of how she was doing. I love how there is always someone in the doggie playtime area to watch over the dogs and I also like how they are broken up into appropriate groups. The staff here is beyond friendly and are willing to address any and all needs. The price is a little high but I really do feel you get what you pay for. Keep doing what you do Roscoes! read more

I boarded my dog while away for a weeks vacation in February. When I picked her up she was sneezing and has mucous in her eye. These symptoms progressed and culminated in a vet visit ($100). She had conjunctivitis. I notified Roscoes to report a communicable disease problem and asked for a call back from the owner. I never received a call back and after several days I called again and asked to speak to the owner. She was out but I was told she had been given the information and my request. I called again after several days and she would investigate. Ashley- the co-owner finally called back but never took responsibility- saying the staff didn't notice anything- as if there was no problem with that fact. No offer to make financial amends and no apology. My dog won't be going back. Apparently this facility has grown rapidly and staff are not able to keep good track. Poor customer relations experience. I understand these things might happen with so many dogs- but the way it was managed was subpar. read more

Would give 10 stars if available! Professional, friendly, helpful staff who love our dog as much as us. We use Roscoe's for daycare and for boarding. We recently left the country for 3 weeks and left Stanley at Roscoe's and felt completely comfortable. They took great care of him and kept in touch with how he was doing. He's a busy, high energy dog and he gets lots of attention and exercise while there. We had a really bad experience at another place in Portland - so it was such a relief to find Roscoe's!
