I was quite distraught to learn at another place in Muncie the dogs only get 15-30 minutes of outside time A DAY by themselves and are mostly unsupervised. At Happy Dogs my pups are outside for 3-7 hours a day when the sun is shining, or in the indoor playroom when it isn't.

We dropped them off before noon on Saturday, May 15 (per their recommendation). We were told that the owner was out of town and they would be closed on Sunday, May 16. I asked if we would be able to pick them up Sunday. I was told yes and to call about noon to set up a time with the owner, since she would be home then. I called and she wasn't home. She returned my call about a 1/2 hour later and was told I would be charged for both Saturday and Sunday since we were picking them up after noon. I explained how I was told to call about noon to arrange pickup since she was out of town. She said that was her policy that an extra day was charged to anyone who picked up dogs after noon. I explained the situation and she said she didn't care what I was previously told. We would be charged $48. I feel this is a bad business practice and other dog-owners should be aware that this kennel will tell a customer one thing, go back on their word, and will double charge. I told her we would never use her business again. It took that threat to get her to only charge us $24. The sad thing is, we had been a repeat customer for several years.

She needs to take it up with Google if she does not like it. Google (and other social media sites) let their customers leave & edit reviews. (Even Ebay & Amazon lets their customers leave an opinion). And yes, these sites also allow edits, deletes and re-writes!! Now for my LEGAL review and final edit (which I am allowed to do --just as she is). Owner is very shady. I was never informed when I picked up my dog that he bit while being groomed. (Note: she had claimed this on a previous response that was later deleted by me) But the point I am trying to make here, rather than her speaking to me about it upon picking the dog up, or calling me, she decided to make this known on a previous google review???? Who does that? IF it were really serious, she would have spoken to me. We've had no other problems with other groomers, just her. She is expensive. Her rates on her website are not accurate which means false advertisement. Yes, I knew that she was expensive before going in (duh). But it is MY right as a paying customer to alert the public if I choose. It is also my right to leave a public review!! Too many soldiers died for my freedom of speech. Im sorry she does not like it. She gets defensive with anyone who gives a 4 star and under. (I believe she went back and edited other reviews--which is her right to do so). But maybe this isn't the business for her. The place is run down and not well kept. I feel bad for the other folks who left one star reviews, as she gets defensive with all of them. Read for yourself on google and you will see how she acts. Keep scrolling. I would like this owner to not involve any 3rd party family members or I will personally press charges myself. I did not involve her family members, did I? I only gave reviews. She did worse. I would like the same respect in return. I personally did not even read her response (nor did I care) until I was harassed by a 3rd party. She also told this 3rd party I was banned because of my reviews. An opinion?? Who does that?? Thats a blessing actually. Im glad we both agree on that because I never want to be near her--or do business with her---again!!! She is very unprofessional and clearly lacks customer service skills. Stay away.
