**COVID-19 REVIEW** Our dog was in need of more dog food as the last bag we bought was right before we went in lockdown in March. The fact that one large bag lasted until August is awesome! I wanted to try out their curb-side pickup, even though the store is open for shopping. The less I can expose myself to possible germs, the better! I went online and found his Purina food and decided to go with the big bag again. Why not? I put in my cart, created an online account, found a promo code, and ordered. I was informed that my order would be ready within the hour. Great! You have two (2) days to pickup your order before they cancel it. I left for the store about two hours after I placed the order. I found a parking spot right in front and called the store. I told them I was there for my curbside pickup and gave my name, type of car, and where I wanted the order to be placed. A person came out in a few minutes, waved, and told me to have a good day. Off I went with no contact! When I got home, I opened the trunk and saw that aside from the large bag of food, the receipt was taped on the bag. Finally, what a surprise, they included a goodie bag with free treats! Win! We always go here for our supplies and to get his nails cut. The staff are always welcoming with a "hello" when you walk in, and are helpful and very sweet when you bring your pet in. If I could give a place zero stars this would be the place. This was my experience a few years back, but I recently within the past year came here and saw the same lady working here and couldn't believe they still have her on their team. A couple years back, my mother and I were in between groomers for our pomeranian (who passed away this past July) - our usual groomer took some personal time, so we had to go elsewhere. We stumbled upon Pet Supplies Plus, we had a great experience with the women who groomed Chester, she did a fantastic job. So we decided to make an appointment for my Shetland Sheltie, who is way bigger and hairy than our pomeranian. We were informed that the excellent women who did Chester (our pomeranian) was no longer with this location and that another women would be our groomer. This inexperienced, and rude women took one look at our dog and said "I'll have to shave him," - I informed her that this breed, when shaved, the hair doesn't grow back the same, and with my dogs skin condition that wouldn't be an option. She insisted that she has shaved other dogs of this size and amount of hair and wouldn't change her mind or opinion. She was stuck with "He must be shaved." We did NOT let this women shave him, and I will never go back. When another worker saw how upset I was, they did nothing to help with the situation. I wouldn't recommend getting your dog groomed here. read more

I get my cat's wet food here, and sometimes dry food as well. Some of the wet food is overpriced and they don't have big cans of the wet food for certain varieties, so I'm spending just as much on a small can as I would a big can, but I'm sure that's more so due to the specific brands and not anything to do with Pet Supplies Plus. Once I started checking into Yelp here I started noticing the coupons they have, which is great, because a lot of times I'll forget my coupon at home or haven't gotten one in awhile (sometimes they send them to my house with the rest of the grocery store ads). Since this place is basically a 30 second drive from Ellicott Creek Bark Park, I've visited a couple of times after my dog has had a day to play, to pick up treats and sometimes toys. This store is probably the cleanest I've been to (comparing to the one closest to my house, which certainly isn't as nice) and I've never had a bad visit. They offer vet clinics here, though I'm not sure how often they do, as well as an assortment of grooming services. Every weekend it seems they invite different rescue groups to the store to raise money for their cause and potentially get their pets adopted; how can you say no to that? I just wish I lived closer to this location, I'd probably come here all the time in that case! read more

This is my first time visiting another Pet Supplies Plus other than the one on Delaware. It's a really well organized store super clean and easy to find items. Which is why it gets any stars. They have signs all over the store saying "we price match" and when it came time to price matching they gave me some issues saying that they can't match the "online price" unless they include $4.99 shipping on top of it. Guys, that's not price matching. I showed the cashier the Walmart price for this dog food I was purchasing on my phone and the girl tried to tell me that if I want to price match online websites they need to add $5 for the shipping price. Like guys - that's the price I would pay in store if I went to Walmart: not some online only special!! I'm sorry but in this day and age do you expect people to be carrying multiple newspapers around when everything is online and accessible from your fingertips? I've never had an issue at the other store. It was literally a $4 difference and the two girls were making a big deal about it. Negative stars for that. read more

Visited here for the first time today. I loved how friendly and inviting the employees were upon entering the store. The store shelves are neat and organized. Prices for each product are clearly stated. It was a pleasant surprise to see a big chain have quality customer service like this. Every time I go to this pet supplies plus the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I even have a disabled cat that one of the girls was very helpful with although the disability is not very well know. Another girl was also helpful answering questions about one of my daughter's cats and her condition. I love the store and the staff. read more

I had to put my dog down and needed a muzzle to take him to the vet. I purchased two sizes because I didn't know which would fit. They asked if I wanted to join their rewards club I said no and explained that I was putting my only pet down and didn't have a need for a pet store or want to receive emails about pets. I went o return the unopened one that was never even removed from the box. They told me I could only receive store credit for it since I wasn't a member of their rewards club. I explained that I no longer had a pet. Still said I could only get store credit. This is not a very fair program. read more

Very poor care for their reptiles..I went to the store today and the Veiled Chameleon's enclosure had so much faeces it, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in well over a week. The set up/husbandry was very poor as well. The leopard gecko enclosure was also very poor. There was not enough hides for the number of geckos being housed together. The geckos also had an unhealthy amount of stuck shed on them. All of the enclosures had a gross and unsanitary amount of faeces. As a reptile keeper, I was extremely disappointed and saddened by the store's lack of knowledge of keeping reptiles. read more

I brought my two white dogs (a Maltese and a Havanese) there for a bath and fluff. I was pleasantly surprised! They really didn't need a cut yet. They also had their nails clipped, came home with really cute bandanas and they smelled terrific. The staff at the grooming salon were very friends and knowledgeable. They were very sweet to my babies. By not getting them cut, I saved $30! I will alternate - a full groom then a bath and fluff. I was very happy with the service, that I saved so much money, and that my babies looked and smelled terrific! I'll be back! I have shopped at the store for years. It's very clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They always have what I'm looking for. I'm happy they're in my neighborhood. Horrible experience this past weekend with the grooming salon. Inexperienced groomer, Angel, mixed up my dog with another, cut a piece out of his ear with the clipper while shaving him to the skin after being asked for just a trim. To compound this, another groomer, Jeremy, took him to an animal hospital and sent him home with the wrong owner. Throughout a 3 hour ordeal trying to locate my dog or the 2 days since, not once did the store owner make any attempt to contact me with an apology. DO NOT USE THIS GROOMING SALON!! read more

Have always been greeted by friendly people. They ask if I need any assistance & seem eager to help locate what I'm needing. Also, if I tell them that another pet store has my pet's food on sale or the price is less than theirs everyday, they honor that price. It's easy for them to check. I have been experiencing very poor customer service with the Grooming Department this week. I called for their hours several days ago, and before I could speak, I was put on hold and no one ever came back on the line, so I hung up. The next day, I stopped in with my dog after checking the website for grooming hours (not shown), and was told Grooming was closed. Today, I called and again tried getting their hours, and was told if I come in between 11-6 someone should be there. I asked what if I can't make that, and was given an attitude. I told her never mind; that I will go somewhere else. I called the Sheridan location and was very satisfied with their customer service. read more

We took our Bischon there for grooming. She was pretty matted. But I did explain that over the phone. I specifically asked over the phone if they had someone good with little dogs as I did not want her scalped or balded. That our normal groomer NEVER balds this dog. She's left with some hair...ears, tail, feet and bows. To get her back absolutely hairless I was horrified!! This groomer never even tried with our dogs.....And It was $65....I was charged $20 extra for ears & nails....Really!! NEVER AGAIN For that place! read more
