I bought three fish (different colours from the ones I already had) from their store a few weeks ago. I kept them separated for a reasonable amount of time before introducing them. One was pregnant so I kept her aside so her babies would not get eaten. When she gave birth, I put her back in the pond with my other fish and then the trouble started. The babies started dying and even after intensive investigation, I couldn't figure out why. Then, the first bought fish dies, then the mother of the babies dies. Now, my previously healthy fish are dying! The guy I spoke to says judging by the symptoms it's bacterial. Interesting that this bacteria only came into play upon introducing these new fish to my pond. I got my fish from a relative, whose fish are still going strong, so there is nothing wrong with my fish. Those fish have been in there since January, thriving, and now, since I introduced the other fish, they're diseased and dying. I noticed that there were some dead fish in some of the other tanks, so I purposely avoided buying from those tanks, however thinking back, they were using the same net for all tanks, so no wonder the diseases spread around. Shame on Pet Superstore for not properly checking where they get their animals from and the health of their animals when selling them. I will NEVER EVER buy from there again and I hope others learn from my mistake before their pets die from contact with Pet Superstore's sick animals. read more
