The staff appear to be untrained and don't understand the products they're selling. The fish and plants were in pretty bad condition.

    Darra

This pet store in Darra is the smallest pet store I've come across so far. When I walked in I felt…read morethe store was really bare. All I could see was stock on the left and right wall and a small shelf running through the middle of the store. There was a counter with two staff, who are the owners and behind them was the grooming area. In terms of products and stock, this pet shop seemed like they were lacking a lot of it. They have a small range of pet food and few toys however not enough variety. To my knowledge this place has been around for only a few months, which could give reason to their limited inventory. I would hope this place gets bigger, for their sake, as it currently doesn't seem to tempt customers to return. So the question is, what do they have that I couldn't find at another pet store? One good thing to note about this store, is because it is owner managed, the personal customer service you get is really nice. You don't get enough of this in bigger chain pet stores, as they would assume you'd buy from them with or without good customer service-, which, is probably true. But, I like the feeling of walking into a store and someone genuinely wanting to help out and be of service. It's encouraging and commendable for small businesses to keep this up. I should hope that if they ever get bigger, that they not loose this, as it could be the only reason people want to come back.

A fair size shop with nothing in it. Prices were way to high. And the animal knowledge of the staff…read morewas not impressive. I will not shop here again. Only thing they had going for them was a $10 dog wash, But i couldn't trust them to wash my dog.

    Corinda

If you're like me, you love shopping for your pet as much as you love shopping for yourself, think…read morethat's weird? Well, you'd understand how easy it is to shop if you've been to Pet Café in Corinda. They have a huge wall full of toys of all sizes and have a massive selection of products suitable for all types of pets; dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, birds, fish, reptiles, mice, rats... Huh? Rats? I suppose it's good to know for all you rat owners out there! They have an array of treats for your lovable pet and there are so many bedding options for cats and dogs. The only problem is choosing. The one thing I don't like about this place is you walk in, the staff clearly see, but just ignore you to do other things. Ah, hello? I'm the only person in the pet store right now and you're ignoring me? Psshh. It's a 'pet' hate... I also found the name of the store a bit misleading, I actually expected table and chairs where you can sit with your pet and feed them treats while you enjoy a cappuccino. How silly of me! Not a bad idea though, right? If you are in the Western suburbs shopping around for your pet, you'd find they have a lot to offer here, the only thing you won't find however, is the customer service.

I used to work on the 2nd level of this little block of shops and when I first realised there was a…read morePet Shop let alone cafe downstairs I was super excited. For some reason shopping for pets gets me really excited, but there was no cafe. Sad face! There is a huge array of products, clustered into this small space, really kind of crowded inside and they don't really sell any live things much in the way of puppies or kittens... but they do a mad dogwash every Saturday for really cheap that gets all the animals lining up. I wasn't too impressed with this place, but it is somewhere you can buy the premium dog food which is always good. Prices aren't too crazy cheap or crazy exxy, so it's good for what it's for.

The Vet Shed - Saw the photo of the dog at the vet shed. Wanted to show our beautiful girl "Rosebud". I am sure they must be related.

I first learnt about these guys online, then they opened a pick up point at Sumners Park around…read morefrom me, it was very exciting. I use them because they have flea and tick treatments for cats and dogs which are usually at least $10 less than what you would pay anywhere else (and they do get expensive). They also deliver promptly which is also another good thing as you will never go without whatever you order. They also stock the premium range of dog food like your Royal Canin or Eukanuba in large quantities and they actually have a doggy undercoat rake for breeds like the Chow Chow, Siberian Husky or like my dog the Japanese Spitz. Saves me having to take her to the groomers now, prices are really good, the undercoat rake usually goes for $30-$40 if you can find it (you can't really) but they sold it for $15.80. The medicated shampoos (the full vet range too) go for at least $5 less than what you would pay at the vet as well. The medicated shampoo and conditioner we bought from the vet cost us $31 for both and here it would be $24 and they sell the bigger bulk bottles too, not just the small skinny tubes that wouldn't last long if you were bathing 3 dogs or a few large ones. Smell nice though! They have a great dane dog walking around too who is so beautiful and weights 60kgs so go to give him a pat too!

Please keep in mind this is over $15 return postage cost... absolutely absurd. Never experienced that bad customer service in my life online or in store. ALSO postage took a month and they basically said tough luck.
