Toys and treats, yes when you have spoiled cats you find yourself always trying to find things they will play with or eat. My world revolves around their happiness, apparently. My kitten ripped the antenna and wings off his butterfly toy, and my three year old pitched his fish toy in the toilet so I went her for replacements. And after hitting Walmart, Target and Petsmart we struck gold here. Lots to choose from, nice employees. Worth the drive. More importantly, the cats are happy. read more

Stopped in for large breed puppy food. Shelf was empty and on my way to leave the store, Rachel stopped me to ask which food I was looking for. They had just received a shipment and we saw a bag of it half way down one of the wrapped pallets. She opened it up, moved all the other bags from on top and grabbed me the one I needed. The store overall is nice. The employees aren't the friendliest and they definitely dont go the extra mile. But what really turned me off was this. I have more than one cat. And I constantly make sure all of their litter boxes are clean. More than once a day. What I saw was disgusting. The litter box was full of stuff and there was a kitten who didnt even want to go in. The two employees working were definitely not busy. When we mentioned the litter box, the employee acted annoyed and said they only clean it in the morning. Not cool. read more

Bought six fish total First purchase I bought three fish, tested the water and made sure it was perfectly good for my guppies, and they died within days. Second purchase I bought three more fish figuring it might've been a fluke once again tested my water for everything under the sun to make sure it was good for them. One died within days one is on his way out and the third is most definitely traumatized from watching the other two die...not cool lol. will definitely be going elsewhere. I have had plenty of fish before and have never had a problem until shopping here :-( read more

Always friendly and helpful even to the point of offering to bring your purchase to your vehicle. They carry the food and treats that my labs can tolerate. Idk why one of them can eat socks, underwear, towels but for some reasons he needs special dog food or he vomits *sigh* Plus, I can always find the flavor and size of Mother Hubbard dog treats. Good selection of toys, leads, collars etc., Sign up for the card and after 10 bags you gets a free bag of food. I do wish they had an automatic door! read more

Their pricing is a bit steep on most things. They tend to carry niche brands that are more expensive. I use to work for Mars and wholeheartedly but their pet food products as I researched how they did everything but they don't seem to carry much from them. I did adopt my two cats from here through brooks legacy adoption services. The staff is very friendly and you can occasionally find decent deals on products. read more

Lawdhammercy this store is consistently awful, and management is worst I have ever seen. Our last visit was about a month ago,we found a new store and wish we would have done so months ago. For starters the manager here needs management training. Employees are just constantly talking toeach other, and not at all interested in being helpful even when the manager is around. The laziness does not just extend to customers. Another person on here wrote about the sad state of the animals and I have to agree. Birds and other critters don't look healthy, or clean cages and so on. Our last visit a customer ahead of us was complaining to manager. I can never remember this manager's name, a woman with short dark hair, little overweight maybe in her 40s. She was as you would expect from the way the employees are in there: uninterested in what was obviously a pretty upset customer. I think it was about a pet or prior purchase. So we didn't hear the story but caught enough to hear: "Well I AM THE MANAGER." And the woman asked her who her boss was and she said, "I AM the boss."Then when the woman left not happy, the manager sarcastic said "You have yourself a real nice day now". (Good customer service skills there!) When I got up to check out, I laughed a little bit and said, "oh come on now. Surely you have a boss. We all have a boss." She grabbed my items and said "She can call our corporate office if she wants I really don't care." Yes that is obvious!! Good news is we rediscovered another pet store that is not only more fun to go into but it is actually CHEAPER on all our pet staples. For some reason the savings surprised me. Pet Supermarket seems so cheap I guess just because of the store layout and quality of service. Anyway, I won't mention in this review the name of the other store, but I'll give you a hint: You'd be really SMART to shop for your pets there. I challenge anyone to go into both stores and tell me which one you like better. These employees should go to PS and see how happy, engaged, and helpful there employees are. read more

My new favorite pet store in the Cape! I was detracted by the other review, but was getting frustrated because of the limited selection of small animal products at other area stores, so decided to give it a go. I'm really glad I did! The store is very well-lit, clean, attractive, and intuitively arranged, and their assortment of products is unrivaled, except maybe at PetSmart or another big-box chain store. Their prices--at least on food and supplies for small animals--are highly competitive (e.g. $5 for a 3-lb bag of nutritional blocks). They have a selection of pets themselves in the center of the store, as well; being someone who has kept rats, hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs for many years, all animals I saw appeared happy and healthy. The employees are also friendly and helpful, and seem to love animals; during each of my visits over the past few months, those employees on the floor had birds and other animals riding on their shoulders, "helping" them straighten up/stock. Adorable. I also signed up for both their rewards card (free) and email list, and have since found out they send out coupons and have all kinds of special events in-store, like affordable vet clinics for vaccines and popular medications up to 75% off, and mini puppy-training classes. They have only emailed me twice (and I signed up four weeks ago or so), so it's a good pace, as well. All in all, I'm very glad I gave this store a shot, and am looking forward to continuing to frequent it for all my rats' and hamster's needs in the days to come. read more
