Lucky Buddy Petcare - Jake looking so handsome

    Lucky Buddy Petcare

    (104 reviews)

We recently booked with Lucky Buddy Petcare for a vacation and am glad we gave them a chance!…read more We first met the owner Janet and loved her vibe. My main concern was our dogs not being comfortable with the rotation of different pet sitters, so I expressed that concern with Janet and figured out a plan to prepare our dogs. We ended up booking walks for our dogs to meet with the different sitters they may encounter during our vacation. Each walker/sitter we met was equally friendly and our three German shepherds had no issue with either one of them. We received reports after each visit, which we appreciated. What I do appreciate most about Lucky Buddy Petcare is that we're not dependent on one person's schedule while planning. The booking process is super easy through their website. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a pet sitting company!

I am grateful to have found Janet and her team to walk and stay overnight with my smart, loving and rambunctious Aussie, Jake. Jake loved his walks and especially enjoyed his time with Janet and Kathleen when they stayed with him when I went on my first trip in years because I would not board him. I told my friends I thought he was two-timing me because he was so happy and relaxed when I arrived home. I also had a dog walker come every day at Janet's suggestion while I was away and I truly appreciate the time and care these young women gave to Jake during that time and his regular walks. Sadly, Jake is no longer with me. He was only six years old but he had a medical condition that was lurking, unknown and undiagnosed until it suddenly appeared shattering my world. My first call was to my friend, a retired vet, who told me the likely diagnoses. My second call was to Janet who told me where the best ER animal hospital was located and provided additional emotional support. Janet continued to reach out and check to see if I was alright after I had to make a pet owner's most dreaded decision. She is not kidding in her business info when she says she will be there for you.

After years of shuttling our dogs to our parents every time we want to travel, my husband and I finally decided that it's time to find a local dog and house sitter. I reached out to Dusty through Yelp and received a very prompt response for availability and to set up a meet and greet. She also provided thorough background checks, proof of insurance, and references (who gave excellent reviews). Her care and thoroughness is very evident. We connected right away during the meet and greet, and my husband and I both felt like we could trust her with our dogs and our home. I provided an extensive list of notes, and she followed them to a T. During our weekend trip, Dusty checked in frequently with updates and photos. I never had to wonder if the dogs were doing okay. Not only did Dusty really care about our dogs' well-being, she also cares about our peace of mind and puts in a lot of effort to relieve our anxieties. I was especially anxious about one of our dog's leash reactivity, and Dusty did a fantastic job managing her surroundings during walks and making sure that they were both safe. Upon our return, the house was in great shape. My only "complaint" is that the dogs didn't seem to miss us at all since they were so busy having fun with Dusty! I got to know Dusty more, and she's an honest, lovely, and creative soul. We plan on being her clients for many years to come.

The Pet Nanny - Drew and Masudi

If you're looking for someone with a genuine love of and connection to cats, who is very experienced with cat behavior and health issues, and who is supremely trustworthy and reliable - look no further than Drew. Before I met Drew I spent so much time on Yelp contacting other pet sitters in the area and they all seemed like they were mostly dog-oriented and just tolerated cats and would be only dropping by to make sure my cats were alive. Then I contacted Drew and I knew right away she was special - she actually adores cats and her primary concern is getting to know your cats' individual needs and quirks and providing the best comprehensive care possible while putting your mind at ease with daily checks-ins and photos. (She also owns a photography business and you can hire her for an epic pet photo session!) Drew regularly takes care of my guys, whether I'm busy for one day or away for a longer trip. Under anyone else's care, I'd worry about their individual dietary and behavioral needs - I have a picky older cat with anxiety and urinary issues, a goofy black cat with a sensitive tummy and a history of eating inedible objects and getting the occasional ear infection, and a young, spunky one-eyed cat who once had an injured leg. Not only has Drew gotten to know each of their personalities and connected with them like they're her own pets (they greet her at the door), she has expertly attended to their occasional extra needs and has on multiple occasions taken the time to talk me through my concerns about their issues. In addition to being a cat owner herself, Drew has experience working at clinics and rescues and volunteers her time at a cat sanctuary so I thoroughly trust her input and consider her a valued care companion and part of our pet family. My cats (and I) absolutely adore Drew and there's just no better feeling when you're away than total peace of mind that your fur family is receiving the best possible care. 5 stars, 10/10. Thank you, Drew!

I called Pat's and the person I spoke with displayed great patience with all my questions, answering each one without getting annoyed or frustrated with me (I say this because I had a LOT of questions/concerns). They offer a wide variety of lodging options from cat condos (both with and without windows, suites, etc.) and have reasonable pricing. They require proof of current rabies and FVRCP vaccinations, which helped ease my mind from a safety perspective. They also had a very detailed questionnaire, which included pet's names, description, age, etc, as well as pet's personality, likes/dislikes, what treats were okay to feed, etc. They clearly tried to get as much information about the cats to help make the cats' stay as stress-free and pleasurable as possible. I chose to bring some toys, treats, food, and fleece blankets from home, which is allowed but not required. From the moment I dropped them off, I knew my babies were in great hands. The lady who helped settled the cats in had so much patience and care when getting each one out of the carrier and into their condos. My very fearful one, especially, she took time with---no rushing them (or me) out the door. Once we got them settled in, they provided some treats and respected where each cat was (one accepted pets, one did not---my anxious one hid in the little hiding house they had in each condo. Staff accepts the cats where they are and allows the cat to determine next steps, interactions, etc. outside of the required feeding, litter box cleaning, water, etc. They also will put up "privacy screens" for especially anxious kitties, when warranted. The facility also has a catio that has a view to the outdoors, as well as an inside area with a lot of kitty enrichment, like scratching/climbing posts/trees, toys, a water fountain, etc. They specifically ask if you are okay with your cat going into those areas (for me, I was fine, but suspected one of my cats would not choose to do that. The other one did, and when I came to pick them up, was roaming freely and having a blast playing with toys and climbing things. They take the time to really get to know your pets and their personalities and then work with them individually. When I picked up my cats, my very anxious one actually allowed one of the staff members to pet her and she came out of the hidey house for both of us! That is incredible with this particular cat and I could tell staff must have been very patient and kind to her to get her to that point. They gave me updates/summaries of each cat's stay, how they ate, what they did, etc., which I appreciated. If you need to board your cats and know they will be safe and well cared for, there's no better place than Pat's! I would give them more than five stars if I could! Highly recommend!

I was aware that my dog had a hotspot on her front leg prior to the appointment, but she has never had a hotspot near her butt before. The owner noted after my initial review that this red irritation could be from an anti-fungal shampoo she used, which I did appreciate honesty about. While it's possible this could be food-related, my experience with other groomers has never resulted in an issue like this. We also brought in our other dog, an Aussie, for grooming on the same day and were very happy with her service. However, given my experience with my retriever mix, I will be taking her elsewhere in the future. I found the professionalism in the owner's texts to me after my initial review aggressive, and this is further leaving me with no desire to return. Initial review prior to revisions: I have a retriever mix that I shave down in the spring. I'm assuming the shaver was hot and it burned my dogs skin. Allie was curious as to whether this was a hotspot from her food. While yes, I do feed my dog the purina pro plan chicken and rice, that is the food our vet recommended she go on. Never once has she had a spot like this on her butt. My bf picked her up so I wasn't there to advocate. I feel bad when my pup came home with this raw spot. I put some hydrocortisone lotion on it and it healed in a day. My pup has never came back from the groomers with open wounds so unfortunately, I won't bring my dog back here. I will take her to pet smart where I can watch the groom from the window. I would've really loved a "it's possible it's food but I may have also nicked her skin." Our other dog went in at the same time and she looks great!!! I just care about this pup so much it broke my heart to see this spot
