We were under the impression that photos will be automatically uploaded to the boarding booking portal, but we had to ask for photos of our cat during his stay. They gladly provided photos after requesting them. The staff was very friendly. Overall, we would come back here!

They use positive reinforcement for their training method. Midtown Mutts also offers dog walking, 1:1 sessions and pet sitting. My neighbor uses them for pet sitting and she loves them. You pay based on how many visits and the length of time you want them to stay. They take pictures everyday they visit to show you how your pet was that day. Pros: they have a membership and you can choose 1 or 5 classes a month. These classes don't roll over if you don't use them - I made the mistake of thinking they do. They have a calendar where it lists the classes, time and topic. The calendar is a bit clunky and confusing so it takes a bit to figure out how to navigate. If they don't have too many people sign up and you need help in a certain area, they accommodate your request. They have answered my numerous questions and been very patient. I can say my puppy REALLY enjoyed class because he was showered with treats also as a lab, he never turns food down! Cons: if there is a large class and the gym in the same business structure is busy, parking can be a bit hard to find.

My main concern was our dogs not being comfortable with the rotation of different pet sitters, so I expressed that concern with Janet and figured out a plan to prepare our dogs. We ended up booking walks for our dogs to meet with the different sitters they may encounter during our vacation. Each walker/sitter we met was equally friendly and our three German shepherds had no issue with either one of them. We received reports after each visit, which we appreciated. What I do appreciate most about Lucky Buddy Petcare is that we're not dependent on one person's schedule while planning. The booking process is super easy through their website. I am grateful to have found Janet and her team to walk and stay overnight with my smart, loving and rambunctious Aussie, Jake. Jake loved his walks and especially enjoyed his time with Janet and Kathleen when they stayed with him when I went on my first trip in years because I would not board him. I told my friends I thought he was two-timing me because he was so happy and relaxed when I arrived home. I also had a dog walker come every day at Janet's suggestion while I was away and I truly appreciate the time and care these young women gave to Jake during that time and his regular walks. Sadly, Jake is no longer with me. He was only six years old but he had a medical condition that was lurking, unknown and undiagnosed until it suddenly appeared shattering my world. My first call was to my friend, a retired vet, who told me the likely diagnoses. My second call was to Janet who told me where the best ER animal hospital was located and provided additional emotional support. Janet continued to reach out and check to see if I was alright after I had to make a pet owner's most dreaded decision. She is not kidding in her business info when she says she will be there for you.

I even received a photo during his last boarding stay to keep us up to date and connected to him It's really nice that they send text updates about appointments and when shots/fecal tests are due. They're actually more on top of the reminders than our vet is! It makes me feel good that the dogs go through a testing process to make sure they're good with other types of dogs and that they're strict on shots and wellness. I also like watching the cameras and being able to see our dog playing with others or chilling in one of the rooms. I'm glad we found this spot and that they've been a reliable option for daycare and overnight stays.

She also provided thorough background checks, proof of insurance, and references (who gave excellent reviews). Her care and thoroughness is very evident. We connected right away during the meet and greet, and my husband and I both felt like we could trust her with our dogs and our home. I provided an extensive list of notes, and she followed them to a T. During our weekend trip, Dusty checked in frequently with updates and photos. I never had to wonder if the dogs were doing okay. Not only did Dusty really care about our dogs' well-being, she also cares about our peace of mind and puts in a lot of effort to relieve our anxieties. I was especially anxious about one of our dog's leash reactivity, and Dusty did a fantastic job managing her surroundings during walks and making sure that they were both safe. Upon our return, the house was in great shape. My only "complaint" is that the dogs didn't seem to miss us at all since they were so busy having fun with Dusty!
