Best. Groomer. Ever. When we first got our puppy, he was groomed here and was a perfectly polished gentleman! Nails short enough to keep his paws tight and together instead of spreading, whiskers shaved nice and short with no stubble, and the whites of his coat perfectly white. My husband and I try to take care of the nails on our own, but have to put up with a fussy and squirming animal. I rescued a neglected and abused shih tzu mix from a bad situation. They had never groomed her and kept her chained up to a fence. I desperately needed help grooming her. Dave was very patient and calm with her. She finally looks like a dog again. I am so incredibly happy I found this place! We live in Riverside and were taking our Pomapoo to a groomer way out in San Bernardino because it was recommended to us by a friend. However, I always felt like they didn't really care all that much about the dogs. So I found Pet Salon and figured with these reviews I had to give it a try. So glad I did!! Dave was so nice on the phone and the grooming went even better. He was so good with my girl and even let me know she doesn't like being in front of the dryer so he didn't make her suffer through it. He really takes his time to get to know his clients and cares about whether or not they are comfortable. That is a big deal to us because our dogs are our babies! I've been coming here for a few years and have no complaints. $15 for a basic bath and nail trim is hard to beat. I used to go to PetCo but they told me my dog "yelped too much" when they tried cutting his nails...funny that this salon has never had that issue. The owner is always able to squeeze my little dachshund in at the last minute without an appt and I've seen them stay open pretty late to accommodate their clients for the day. Sometimes she'll even throw in a little extra treatment to help my dog's itchy skin for no added cost. I recommend them all the time. read more

Dave is great and is always helpful! He has even helped us out in a pinch. Please call early though to set up an appointment, he books up fast. I took my German Shepard here for the first time yesterday morning. It's a new store so I thought why not. I've been coming to these ladies for years, just about 12 years. My dogs come out looking exactly like i ask and if they find something unusual they bring it to my attention. They are so diligent in their work and when they know it's going to be a while, they tell me ahead of time. I don't mind the wait because I am able to do my errands which is helpful. Our wheaten terriers were in desperate need of haircuts. Pet Salon was able to get them in for grooming the same day I called and were the nicest people! I have a newborn and they came and unloaded the dogs from the car for me and were very patient when the dogs were done but the baby was still sleeping. Normally my spouse grooms our dogs but following a surgery, he won't be able to for quite some time. I requested quotes and read reviews for several places. The owner Sue was quick to respond to my request, asked a few questions and scheduled my schnauzer and poodle. My schnauzer has had professional grooming before but it was the first for my poodle. Let me say, they both came out beautiful!!! Sue charged me exactly as I was quoted even with my schnauzers matting. I was honestly expecting to pay a tad more. My schnauzer Heidi loves being groomed and she's been running around the house showing off her "new do". My poodle Zoey has never looked so beautiful and I think she did really well it being her first visit ever. She came home happy. I'm sure next time she will be less shy. I know it's hard to pick out a groomer but I wouldn't hesitate for one moment to recommend this place. They were professional, knowledgeable and took great care of my dogs. read more

Went in because my cat was starting to get matted knots all around her body and it was impossible for me to get them out without thinking I was hurting her. Came her to the Pet Salon and Sue was just the nicest and most patient groomer I've ever met. She was able to get all her knots out and even shaved her belly. My cat now looks and feels better! Terrible customer service We made an appointment for our two maltipoo dogs for 11am on 4/15/18 and after 4 hours we go to pick up our dogs and they both were locked up in one cage with a huge fan blowing in their face Both dogs seemed very traumatized Barking like crazy when they heard we had arrived for them . When we arrived we were greater by a young lady that just slightly turned her head to yell out that my dogs needed 1 an 1/2 more To be done. I said excuse me why is that if they had an appointment and had been there for over 4 hours? Then an older red head lady stood up from behind the shop And walked towards my face and said in a very rude manner, "because we have a lot of work you know " She was not polite was very rude and proceeded to say that my dogs hair was very knotted And criticized us saying we should brush their hair better. She also said very rudely that my puppy dog Was very bad and that he wouldn't stay still. I then said If she was having so much trouble with him why didn't she just call me to let me know that? When I was finishing my sentence she interrupted and very rudely and said "can I talk I was talking " " are you going to let me talk" and I was like if I didn't supposedly let you talk then how did you get all those words in. She got more upset and sat down in front of me and yelled at me saying "go ahead and talk then and let me know when you are done so I can talk" I told her I don't have time to leave them for another hour And very rudely she said ok so you want to just take them how they are ? I had not noticed that my female dog had only been bathe but not groomed at all. When I saw her I was like , So she didn't get her hair cut ? Or her nails trimmed or anything. Her hair felt sticky and ruff. Not soft at all. I then noticed that my puppy the male dog was very badly groomed Even though I had told her just a trim please and not too short please She left him almost bald on the body only But left his hair on face and head and tail very bushy I was very disappointed with the work done in over 4 hours. Overall the red head older lady Was very very unprofessional, very very rude and My poor dogs seemed very traumatized. Please avoid bringing your family dogs here I wouldn't want anyone else going through the bad experience my family And my poor doggies had to endure. read more

I have been bringing my Labradoodle to the Pet Salon for approximately 2 years. All of the staff are courteous and professional, ready and willing to give advice and suggestions as well as feedback. They have an abundance of patience with the dogs, as I have observed when I drop off or pick up my dog Tucker. Tucker's hair is very curly and easily mats. I hate to admit, there are times I have brought him in when he looked more like an abandoned stray! They manage to give him a hair cut with out shaving him bald, giving me back a very presentable pup. LOVE THIS PLACE! We have taken our dog Nana here several times and never had an issue with the service. Not only do they make our old dog look brand new but they are even able to get the hair between her toes even though she HATES people touching her feet, I mean like she is not a growler but man you touch her feet and your liable to hear one! Pico, my Chiweenie, needed some serious nail trim. I was about to go to the closer groomer in town, but when I called, I got only the answering machine. So I ended up calling Dave since he's just a few blocks away from the other groomer. Sure enough, he answered. It just so happened that he was about to head back home, but he told me that I could bring in my little dude. He was really accommodating. He handled Pico well. I thought my little dude would totally freak out since it was his first time (I don't really know for sure because I took him in as a stray in June), but he did A-OK, other than being weirded out a bit by being clipped and probably smelling the scent of other pets that came earlier. They're the most reasonable priced place I've found in the area and they do a great job. They do a better job than the groomers that charged me 50$. Also, they're really fast. I used to wait almost 4 hrs at my old groomers (which had about 5 pple working) , here I wait about an hour and a half with my two dogs . And I think they look the best from here . My dogs are about 4yrs old so I've had a lot of groomers and I like this place the most. Update: apparently Dave is there anymore! :( he was the best groomer I've had . And so sweet and you could tell he genuinely loved dogs. I booked an appointment a while ago with a lady and she was short, rude and abrasive on the phone. When I took them in she was just the same way in person. She didn't care to warm up to my dogs or know their name, like all the other groomers I've had have done before. Bend down and pet them or hold them or anything . So naturally, my little dog was apprehensive going back, and she dragged my dog to the back :( . I wanted to say whoa, can you not drag him like that! I felt guilty leaving them there when I drove away because I knew she wouldn't treat them nicely:( still feel bad. So for the grooming part, I really don't know what this women did. I asked her to trim their hair and brush them out really well.( they're poms) she called me in an 1 hour to get them. There's noway one person can do my dogs that fast. When I pulled up, she was in her car waiting for me . Mind you it's only about 1:00 . I said that was fast and she said yeah I just want to get out of here. My dogs were washed , thats about it . My bigger Pom was still damp. She was really rude too and it just was a weird encounter . Like she didn't want me to question anything so she could just leave . I had to go home and cut their hair and brush them out and clip their nails myself. Fast forward to now. Ok, two moths have passed and I called yesterday to make an appointment praying Dave was still there. This women answered again, she has absolutely no people/ customer service skills. It's like she's mad at you for calling . Finally, tried to set up a time around 10 am . Her response" no, I need you to come earlier, I like to get out early. Can you be here at 9?" I said " no and is Dave no longer there?" She said no. Then I said "ok nevermind". Not going to pay someone whos rude and mean to my dogs and not even do what I ask. And honestly she's just strange, she acts like she hates being there and like you're bothering her. You need to just quit lady. I really don't know how this place will stay in business with her. I had my Lab groomed today for a four day show. Sue knew exactly how to groom her and I didn't have to explain anything to her. When I dropped my girl off I felt confident that when I picked her up she would look amazing. A couple hours later I picked up my girl and she couldn't look better.
