Oliver had passed away that morning at our house and I was able to book a same day pick up. His communication and process went very smooth and I appreciated his patience and kind, caring words throughout the week. Oliver was picked up in a beautiful wicker basket with fresh flowers and brought back to us in the urn we picked out with his name added to everything. It all turned out so personalized, so beautiful and I am so very thankful. Thank you!

I originally called Stardust at the number on the website, but it went to voicemail. The voicemail mentioned sending a text, and that is truly an ideal communication style when you are close to tears at any moment. After texting the same number, Oscar, the owner, immediately texted back. He provided clear communication that was informative and helpful, but in caring and empathetic way. He was also willing to work his schedule to accommodate mine, which was appreciated. All of my communication with Oscar occurred over text with the exception on picking Bellatrix up and then bringing her back. Is Oscar as amazing in person as he is via text? Yes!!! He exudes empathy and kindness. It is evident that he really cares about the work that he is doing. In addition to great communication and stellar customer service, Oscar's care and compassion were truly personified in the final presentation of my cat. A custom wooden tag was made for Bellatrix's urn. Along with her urn, I was provided with a paw print, a vial of her fur, a vial of whiskers, and a sweet bunch of real flowers. 10 out of 10 recommend.

The receptionist reassured us they trusted this service and that my boy, whom I loved for 16 years, would have a private solo cremation which I very much demanded for. I'm truly grateful for the compassion and respect they showed during one of the hardest moments of my life.

Many vets in town use their service, and it was going to cost an extra $65 for picking up her body and returning her cremains so I took her out myself. The staff there is extremely kind. I got to spend extra time with her in a mourning room. I was offered getting a lock of her hair and a paw print if I wanted, but I declined. I was told that I would probably be able to pick her up the following week I received a call about two days later. Her crews were presented to me in a beautiful satin blue bag. The ground was still too hard, so she is sitting on my altar, and though it has rained and the ground is soft enough to dig, the time is not right to say my total goodbye yet. I highly recommend Fond Memories.

They take calls 24/7, but the person taking the calls mentioned several times that I woke them up. When they asked his weight, and I said 200lbs., they said, "Oh no honey, they don't weigh that much". They asked again, same answer. Then asked, "OK, how much did he weigh at his last vet appointment?" My dog weighed 200 lbs. Then, "OK, we'll put 200 lbs." They were timely in picking him up and were very gentle with him. He was returned in a timely manner, with a lovely box, a keychain, some hair clipping and a nice card. The keychain had the wrong dates on it, so my son called, and with me on speaker phone, we gave them the correct dates and recieved another one. With a different date, also incorrect. They said they'd make another one, but I had to pick it up. They are over an hour away. I just didn't answer. It was too much at the time. Their prices were, bar none, the absolute lowest I could find. As it was sudden, I didn't have any money put away for this, so that helped immensely. I have my baby back with me now, that part went well. But I think they could be a tad more compassionate in their communications.

Edited to address the Google review response from Argos and include a photo of the slip they gave…read moreme stating hand delivery not porch dropoff: I have a copy of the slip I was given which does not state a porch dropoff if we're not home. It states hand delivery or pickup from your location. Which means when you called to schedule a day I made sure to be home all day as to not miss the delivery. Also referring to someone's beloved pet by animal or package is disgusting. Use language like pet or my pets name. A person is grieving show some humanity for crying out loud. If you're not equipped to deliver, DONT OFFER IT! I would've rather picked him up from any location rather than gone with this. Also, call someone when you guys messed up immediately. Don't ignore the issue and then respond when they write a review. Then still not even have the humanity to call me in response to the review rather than that pathetic response, maybe I would've updated it to say something nice if you had. Its called damage control. My pet was cremated by Argos and scheduled to be delivered to our home on Monday. We waited all day anxiously awaiting to receive him and never received a followup. I called yesterday at 3pm and was told he was delivered. I was then texted a photo of the front door he was dropped off at. Not our house...I freaked out and my husband drove around the neighborhood until he found the house. THANKFULLY, the woman who lived there was trying desperately to reunite us via FB since there was no contact information for us or even an Argos logo anywhere except when you open the paw print box there is a certification he was cremated by Argos. I am absolutely horrified that my beloved pet was dropped off like a food delivery with such little care and no information to lead the recipient in the event that this incorrect delivery happened to get him home. Why is there no confirmation followup that he was delivered? Why don't they text or e-mail that door image promptly following delivery so he could have been reunited with us immediately?? Imagining that if someone wasn't kind enough and/or didn't realize what this delivery was had just thrown him away or left him on their porch to picked up by a package thief then discarded makes me absolutely sick. How dare you assume that I am okay with a porch dropoff?? I was told he would be HAND DELIVERED. Which means someone would give him to me with respect not left on our doorstep. To add insult, I was told yesterday around 3:30 I would receive a call from a manager and haven't heard from them. I completely question their ethics on how they care for our beloved pets and I am sickened by this whole ordeal.

Overall, if you must use this business, I highly suggest you Do Not purchase any of the "upgraded" packages. You will be severely disappointed, just as we were. We ordered the "Wood Package" which was to include a , "clay" paw print as stated on their website, however the one we got was a cheap planter type foam and the entire casing was very scratched. Its the ugliest thing and I don't see how anyone would think its ok to send it out this way. The package also includes a ink paw print, but its so severely smeared that it looks like someone just did it in an extreme hurry. (My toddler could've done better) but, thankfully I have my own prints that I managed to get the week before our dogs passing. And as for the "wood" urn, well no shocker, its also the cheapest and equally scratched up material. I would equate the feel to a balsa wood. I have since ordered a new wood urn online and its quality is 5x better than the junk Argos gave us. And no, it didn't cost 5x the price. It was the same amount we paid to "upgrade" our private cremation package. So its clear, that this place is either very cheap or simply lazy and careless when it comes to what they are selling. I will never allow any other pet of mine to be cremated at this facility.
