They come home happy and healthy and are excited when we arrive. My only two complaints are that the drop off area is a tight squeeze and we often have to wait awhile for them to have someone take our pups back with limited places to sit for a short fat person. They do have a couple of bar stools. We are disabled so that is a challenge. The office is as clean as you can expect for a kennel. One thing to note is they require payment up front, which is different than we are used to but we haven't had any issues with that. We recommend them and will continue to use them. While I am very much a dog lover, I was adamant that this would only add chaos and stress to our lives as we already have two large dogs who have a well-established history of being aggressive to any dog who dares enter their property. I said "no." He insisted and begged and pleaded. A compromise was reached; if he could show me that a peaceful integration was possible, I'd agree. Enter Happy Dog Inn. We visited this facility, met Ben and Jen, and shortly after, a very comprehensive plan was developed. Louie was boarded for a week at the Happy Dog Inn, my husband took a week off from work, and twice daily, my husband brought our dogs here for integration, training with Ben's assistance, and overall socialization. The plan was well thought-out and included time with the three dogs at the Inn together, time romping in the fields and learning to like one another, time with Louie at our house while our other two stayed for a couple of hours.... It was, as I indicated, an incredibly comprehensive plan and....it was completely successful! At the end of this week, Louie came home and has become one of the pack, accepted by the other two! The dedication of the entire staff to this endeavor was incredible. All of the young women who work there became involved and invested. Jen and Ben were both texting and checking in and offering moral support. Honestly, by the end of this time, it felt like we had a new family. Amazingly, they charged us only for the boarding time for Louie; there was no charge for the training or the hours of time with our dogs on-site. This was truly a labor of love from the entire staff! Thank you, Happy Dog Inn, for adding a new family member to our family!

The Fowlers have a 12 acres of partitioned and fenced property that allows him to safely roam and play. Yoshi has been to other kennels where he has returned to us a bit sullen and detached, but he is so excited to see Mr. Fowler each time we drop him off, and he is his usual happy self each time we pick him up. The Fowlers love animals, and it shows in the care they give our dog and great time he has while there. The Fowlers are highly recommended.

We have been using Plantation Animal Hospital since we moved into the area in 2007. I cannot speak…read morehighly enough about Dr. Fred Cone. Over the years we have had as many as three large dogs that have been under his care. Jessie, a Portugese Water Dog, had Addison's disease which is common on the breed. After many expemsive, unsuccesful treatments with several other vets (outside of the area), Jessie moved in with us. Dr. Fred took the time to research Jessie's disease. His treatment was immediately successful and extended Jessie' life by many years. Our other wonderful experience was recently with our chocolate lab Mufasa. As he aged, he started having trouble with his hind legs. Once again Dr. Fred perscribed a medication that greatly alleviated his discomfort and undoubtedly extend his live several years. This past weekend Mufasa's hind legs finally gave out and it was time to say good-bye. Dr. Fred was called on a Saturday evening (after business hours) at home and arrangements were made to bring Mifasa into the hospital on Sunday morning, a day when the hospital is closed except for boarding pick-up. Dr. Fred and his wife Dr. Sherri Cone met us at the hospital and we were able to say goodbye to Mufasa in a very dignified, comforting manner. Although we are without a dog at the present, I am sure one will be in our future. I am also certain we will contine to use Plantation.

Not only has Devon helped Alice with her specialized training, but they've also worked with Zoey and David on refresher lessons and day-to-day living strategies to make managing three very different dogs much easier. Devon's approach is amazing--they adjust their training methods to align with what I'm comfortable with, creating a collaborative and supportive experience. It's never about right or wrong; it's about finding what works best for you and your dog. We've done in-person lessons and board-and-trains, and every time, Alice comes home better than when she left. Alice adores Devon, and knowing she's happy and in such capable hands makes all the difference. I wasn't sure how he would do woth other animals but Devon immediately assured me that they would be able to handle Kapano in their house for his boarding! He also came back to me in better shape in terms of muscle! If there was anything Devon had questions about they had no issues contacting me right away to let me know or ask about, I felt very comfortable and safe with my dog remaining under Devons care. Emmy is very high maintenance but Amanda will do everything and more with no complaints. And for a very fair price. Emmy loves going to Amanda's because she knows she will be cared for and attended to. Amanda knows each dog by name and personality, and she is always patient, attentive, and professional. She will send photo updates throughout the day so I can see our little Emmy having fun with the other dogs. Amanda's space is clean, safe, and spacious for all dog sizes.
