We love Pet Paradise!! Our dogs Copper and Bailey are always happy when we pull into the drive way of Pet Paradise and are anxious to get out of the car and run in to see Toni and Terry (the caregivers). They were completely booked one weekend and we had to take our dogs to another boarding kennel here in town for a last minute trip. The other kennel was outrageously priced and we had to pay extra for our dogs to get walked or to have outside play time. We have promised our pooches that from now on we will call early to book Pet Paradise or we will cancel our trip. Pet Paradise doesnt charge for walks or outside play time and we can tell our dogs get lots of it because they are exhausted when they get home. Long story short, we love Toni and Terry at Pet Paradise and will never go anywhere else!! read more

My sister took her golden retriever there because she had to go to AZ to the cancer hospital. Missy was there less than a week, came home covered in fleas, with sores on her feet and belly. I know she gets nervous when away from her owners, but it seem like no one paid attention to her. My sister and her husband had to take Misty to the Vet. They call Pet Paradise, but they never called her back. My sister has to go back to AZ for treatment and now I am going to OR to take care of Misty for them. I live in WA and it is a 6 hour drive with my 83 year old Mother. I would not trust this place ever again. Missy acted like she did not want to be there and my sister said she should have listened to her instinct, but due to having to rush to AZ for cancer treatment she had no choice. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They should shut it down permanently. read more

One day I dropped by Pet Paradise to drop off my dog's shot records, I came in quietly & saw the doors to the kennel area open, I peeked in & saw an employee loving up on a dog petting & talking to as I would do for my own pup. My dog squeals with joy when we drive in the driveway. I have been to another place that charges me $5/day extra for exercise & ball toss. I recommend Pet Paradise to anyone who will listen. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED PET HERE!! Can I give zero stars?! My dog stayed at Pet Paradise about 25-35 times. I had to have a friend drop him off the last time for me because of an early flight. The staff could not find his Bordetella vaccination in their system. They did not call me or my vet. Instead they told my friends that they had to hold my dog down and shove a vaccine up his nose. He was crying and struggling and biting for several minutes (my dog already has trauma) before the staff realized they DID have the records. They never told me this happened either. I found out a few days later from my friend. I played phone tag for a week with them and never connected. My dog is still afraid of my friends now. Pet Paradise subjected my dog to trauma, told my friends they had to perform a procedure they didn't know (and that Pet Paradise is not authorized to do themselves), and NEVER TOLD ME!! I'm providing an update to my initial review, because I honestly don't think Pet Paradise is an awful place. I was just extremely pissed off when I picked them up and they were sick a 2nd time. It's highly unfortunate that 2 out of 3 times I've used their services my dogs returned sick. The first time, it definitely wasn't their fault. There was a really nasty strain of Kennel cough going around. The 3rd time... well I don't know. My dogs were really sick for about two weeks. I guess it's possible that my two little, anxiety riddled, terrier mixes just don't get enough exposure to other dogs and they're hyper sensitive to picking up dog colds and coughs. They're both completely fine now. I just don't think a Kennel is the right environment for them. It's just super frustrating to pick up your fur babies and have them in a sickly state for several weeks. They were both puking, had upset stomachs and coughing. Stress induced? I guess it's possible, anything is possible... read more

Remembering Kaya. I received a call this morning on behalf of Pet Paradise asking that I report to the Better Business Bureau that the statement I made that Kaya was killed while being boarded at Pet Paradise is false in exchange for them turning over her ashes from her cremation. I learned it is the only way the BBB will remove a filed complaint. I declined to lie. I filed a complaint with the BBB back in July shortly after her death. When filing, I asked Pet Paradise to describe steps they will take to ensure the safety of dogs under their care so that if one staff member communicates to a customer the outdoor dog enclosure will be used, that information will be passed to staff that work the weekend shift. We feel this is important in preventing other dogs from escaping and being killed as Pet Paradise is located directly on Highway 97. If you're reading this, take a moment and give your buddy a big hug! You're lucky to have them. read more

It is with reluctance that I have to write this VERY POOR review because we have been taking our dog to Pet Paradise for years and under their new management the care and service has taken a drastic decline! We dropped our Min Pin off for the weekend. On our arrival back into town we went to pick him up and I was and still am APPALLED at the condition he was in. The staff so causally told me he had eaten all of his food on Friday, the day we dropped him off! Why did he have access to it? So am I to understand my 10lb dog has gone without food for 2 days and if that's truly the case why was I not notified? To add, his much needed pills that I had packed along with his food I found in his bed upon arriving home. My questions and complaints have fallen on deaf ears by the staff and moving forward my recommendation would be that if you want your pets to be well cared for DO NOT even consider taking them to Pet Paradise. I AM APPALLED and saddened. We will not be back!!! read more

We have a 10 month old German Shepherd puppy who is super sweet, but also very energetic. We've been using Pet Paradise Daycare as a trial for the extended stay over the holidays. They have far exceeded our expectations and the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure that we feel comfortable leaving our pup and she feels comfortable staying. She is just as excited to be left with them as she is to come home to us. The staff is knowledgeable, and even educated us about our breed of dog and puppy development. They have helped immensely with socializing with her slowly, and appropriately so that she doesn't get overwhelmed. Pet Paradise has won us over and we definitely plan to use them in the future. read more

We found Pet Paradise before moving to Bend, because our Golden Retriever, Lucy escrow hadn't closed yet. They have lots of room for the dogs to play, they are reasonable in price, and flexible in scheduling. She's now been a regular visitor for the past year and loves going there to play and comes home tired and happy. read more

My dog loves Toni and Terry at Pet Paradise - she can hardly get out of the car fast enough! They are both very nice people and know a lot about dogs in general. They are very accomodating and will try their best to get your pooch boarded, even in the toughest of circumstances (family emergency during Thanksgiving - ouch!). We lived in Washington for a decade and had a wonderful daycare and boarding provider. I didn't think it would be possible to come close to the care we got there, but Pet Paradise has proven to be the best in the are. From the start we have used Pet Paradise for several year but have, in the back of our minds, suspected how caring they are. A year ago we picked up our dog and he was filled with cheatgrass. They did point this out and said they tried to pull it out. One day later we had to bring him into the emergency pet hospital and $500 later they dug out all the cheatgrass that entered his body. The people that run the place were very sorry and assured us the they had taken care of the problem. Also they always say he ate his food and did not have any left. Recently, we felt we should trust them and left our dog for two weeks. For the first time we had to sign documents relieving them from any responsibility and when we pick him up we had to sign another waiver. When we picked him up he looked terrible and very thin. He eats a special diet and they said he ate all of it. We suspect that they either gave the food to other dogs or threw is out. When home he ate like he hadn't had any food for two weeks and he was shedding hair like mad and he doesn't do that because he is a Golden Doodle. We will never use Pet Paradise again. Let the reader be warned!!!! read more
