This review is long overdue since I have been going to it for over a year. sorry. I get asked where I got her groomed a lot. super cute. super nice. The price is very cheap compared with other places I looked around and yet the best care/haircut one can receive. Highly highly recommended read more

Amazing Service , And Excellent Doggy Care , would 1000% recommend! My Dog loves this place !

They took me in so fast and treated my dog so well! He was so clean and fresh - they took their time and it showed! Reasonable pricing as well. Usually my dog is super skittish going to new places but he had no issue going in here today for the first time and Jinny welcomed us both so warmly. Will definitely be back! read more

Pet Joy - Pet Groomers Near Me - Los Angeles, California

We absolutely love this place. They've been taking care of Dobby and Otis for a long time now, and it truly feels like a second home for our boys. The team is always flexible, patient, and so gentle -- especially with Dobby, who's an anxious little guy and not the easiest to win over. We also love that (from what we understand) it's a Korean family-owned business -- the warmth, consistency, and attention to detail really shows in how they treat every dog that walks through the door. Every time we drop them off, we know they're in good hands. It's rare to find groomers you can fully trust, but they've earned it over and over again. The boys always come back happy, calm, and looking adorable. We're really grateful for the way they care for them like family. Highly recommend to anyone who wants their pups treated with real love and attention. read more

I've been bringing my two small dogs to Pet Joy for about four years, and I can honestly say they are the absolute best!! My dogs are not the easiest, they're not always the friendliest but they absolutely light up when we pull into Pet Joy. That says everything to me. Truly! You can really feel the love and care from the entire team. They treat every dog as if they were their own, and it shows in how calm and happy my dogs are at every visit. Pet Joy truly lives up to its name! And when you go they know you and your pet(s) by name! How lovely is that?! They've earned my trust completely. I cannot recommend them enough!! We've bring bringing our beloved Havanese to Pet Joy for the past couple of years. Not only is our shy anxious dog comfortable here, but they keep a thorough file of how we like her groomed so that we don't have to explain what we want every time we bring her in. We've never had a less-than-perfect haircut. Very happy that Pet Joy is in our neighborhood! Very easy to book and the price is fair for such exemplary grooming! read more

I started writing this review June 11, 2016, and I just saw that I never finished it. Sadly, my two dogs Chase and Pish Posh are now long passed. Pet Joy was lovely with our two big lab mixes. They both had some anxiety about getting groomed, but Pet Joy always made it seem simple, and my dogs always left super excited and smelling good. We will definitely return when we get some new pups. :) read more

I've taken my Chihuahua mix and Maltese to Petjoy a few times now, and I'm really impressed--especially since the new ownership. You can tell they've made great improvements. They actually listen to what I want, and my pups always come out looking so cute with their haircuts. I also love the little extras like the photos and the bandanas or bows--they're such a nice touch. Overall, I feel like I can really trust them with my dogs. Definitely recommend! read more

As a person who loves animals, I have had a lot of pets. Finding the right groomer is so important & difficult to do. Petjoy has quickly become one of my favorite groomers I have ever used. I had been bringing my dog here for 12 years. She never had any problems here. Although the quality of the work had gone down since Ms Sharon left, I continued because they did good enough work and my dog knew this place. However, last Thursday I brought my toy Maltese in for grooming and she came back with a horrible cough that lasted a long time and got so bad she died. My dog was old, but she was NOT sick. Also she cried so hard after grooming. I suspect they are abusive and improperly handle animals there. I believe this place had something to do with my dogs demiise. My bestie took her dog to be groomed yesterday and now her dog is sick. I'm waiting to see if her dog gets worse. (Praying she gets better) Don't go here! The place has gone down since Ms Sharon left. read more

So I bring in my dog and the guy who checks me in says he bought the business about three months ago. He mentions "summer cut" and I actually thought it was a joke (because you know it's late November!). I pick up our dog to find him with really short hair; not bad for July temps. Don't you have enough common sense . Not just that but he charges me $10 extra; I ask what it's for, and he says "because your dog was difficult". This wasn't even on the price list. Plus how do I know what defines as a "difficult dog"? And then he has the gall to ask me if I wanted to leave tip. My tip? Start running a fair business with fair and transparent pricing. read more

IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG, DONT TAKE THEM HERE. READ THE REVIEWS FOR THE WHOLE PICTURE. I've been coming here for years and had a bad experience with one of the groomers. He's the only male groomer I've ever seen there. I told the owner I didn't want him working on my maltipoo again. He's rough and does a TERRIBLE JOB. There is a lady there that is good, but customer service isn't a priority - at all. I dropped my pup off today after requesting the lady groomer, Debbie. When I came to get my dog, the male groomer was SHAVING her just before the place closed. When I asked him what he was going on the owner told me HE FORGOT that I didn't want the guy. Such a liar... he couldn't even look me in the eyes. . He never apologized for any of it. He ordered me to wait outside until they finished. Yeah, right. I stayed put and didn't take my eyes off my dog until I had her in my arms. What's worse is when I first came in and asked for my dog, THEY GAVE ME SOMEONE ELSE'S. I told him "this isn't my dog." He didn't even look surpried at what he'd done. I've been bringing this particular pup here for two years! WTF. How scary and unprofessional is that?! Like I said, if you care for your fur baby, DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE. read more

If I could give it a zero I would. Avoid this place if your dogs have any special need, they have no idea what they're doing. I have 3 dogs, one of them is extremely anxious due to past traumas, the other one is a tripod and the third one is 16 years old. I acknowledge that my dogs need some kind of special attention, which is why I always make it clear when I schedule the appointments. First thing that went wrong - The man at the front desk had no record of my appointment, therefore they had none of the comments I had made when scheduling. I still made sure he knew about it. Second issue - They clearly had no idea how to manage an anxious dog. They automatically tried to force her into the crate aggressively pulling her into it. I had to step into the grooming stations to show them how to do it. Not a great start. Lastly - After 3.5 hours I came to pick them up and they let my tripod out first, a woman quickly came out saying she still had to cut her nails, so she started cutting them in the lobby with me present. This is the worst part... SHE MADE HER BLEED...TWICE!!! From the one paw she needs the most. I will never come back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

We have been taking my 2 small Maltese-Pomeranian doggies to Pet Joy for over 2 years now & we absolutely love them. From the first time we took them here we knew that we had found a new groomer. The first time we picked them up after their wash & cut we realized they were not anxious and stressed out like they "usually" were when we took them to other groomers. For us this was very eye opening because we thought that was just regular behavior. The staff here is so kind and gentle with out dogs, we feel safe with them & trust that they are taking care of our little girls. In the last 2+ + years of taking them to Pet Joy our little old ladies health has changed. One has a heart issue & the other has cancer, but the reason I mention this is because in sharing this with Pet Joy they were able to make recommendations and accommodations to ensure that our 2 dogs were safe. To me what I mentioned above is the most important factor in a dog groomer. However I would also like to add that their work is very good as well. Given that they are part Pomeranian their hair can be a challenge for some groomers to cut, but that is NOT an issue here. They take notes of what style of cuts you have done previously & write down exact measurements so you can ask for your favorite cut again and again! In conclusion (LOL) I highly recommend this groomer. Also, if you want more cute pictures you can follow them @EbonynCoco read more

Ask for Debbie when you book at Pet Joy! My dogs are so happy when I pick them up and they always look and smell amazing.

I've been good taking my dogs to this groomer for 3 years now and I will say that sometimes their cuts are a hit or miss. I chose them because they specialize in Japanese hair cutting and I really like those type of haircuts on my dogs. Unfortunately you never really know what type of cut you're going to get because they rotate groomers. I've now realized on certain days, u know what the outcome of the haircut is going to be. Never met the groomers personally, but I can tell by their quality of work what days to avoid. Never had a problem with them causing injury to my dogs, but one time after I picked them up, they came down with a really bad case of diarrhea that night. It painstakingly took a week to clear up. My dogs are indoor dogs and don't go out for walks, so they couldn't have gotten into something outside. I have a feeling it was bacteria that may have ingested from unsanitary surfaces, but I can't be too sure so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. So if you are looking for a groomer who will bathe and blow dry your dog really well, then definitely come here. But if you want someone who is consistent with certain breed-specific hair styles, this is not the place for your dog. They do have plenty open spots for last minute grooming, so if it's more about convenience than specification, then check them out. read more

DONT COME HEREEE!!! I trusted these people to take care of my dog yet I was wrong. I've been coming here since he was a pup. I came to the place a bit early so I was looking at the cameras meanwhile one of my family members pay. So I saw one of the lady's yank my dog ear so aggressively. I was so worried and shocked. I started to cry so badly. I felt guilty for taking him here yet one of the owners kept saying, "he just moves a lot". I'm like I understand he does but she didn't have to pull my dog neck/ear like that. Additionally when he saw me crying he started to laugh at me and sounded like he was nervous as he was guilty... That's unacceptable. If ur reading this right now don't come plz. I once thought I can trust these people for my dog here but that all changed in the matter of two hours. read more

I have taken my dog to this groomer for years and had good experiences until today. When we arrived, they were clearly too busy and very annoyed, despite us having an appointment. One of their groomers cut my dog's tongue and she was bleeding for 20 mins before they even called us to pick her up. It seems they only called us because she hadn't stopped bleeding. And when they called they didn't even tell me on the phone what had happened or that it was an emergency. It seems they were too busy and being careless. Unacceptable to put any pet in danger in this way and I can no longer support this business. read more
