First it's…read moreon a very busy road, there is no lobby (just a hall leading into the house and garage), you are not allowed To see the grooming area which is the basement of their house, and they are just completely rude. First comment was how both dogs were a mess and needing starting over, shaved they said. Grace put a comb in the top of my bichons head and yanked her head back, proving to me she was totally matted, which she was not. Bichons are curly and so no the comb won't glide through it, no different than human curly hair. I told her I can brush her out fine and don't want her shaved. The older woman said she was raising the price then. I said fine. My Yorkie was shaking like crazy which isn't like her. I knew I shouldn't have left them and worried the whole time they were gone. Upon picking them up my bichon wasn't in her harness/leash and collar was falling off. Grace said she couldn't figure out the harness though it was identical to my Yorkie harness. She finally said she didn't have time to mess with it. Being on such a busy road this was just careless and unsafe since we were right in the hallway leading to the outside. When we got home I noticed my Yorkie had a cut under her eye and my bichon had one on her chest. My Yorkie also had red feet with swollen paw pads. I talked to Grace about this today and again she was completely rude telling me she must have been matted in her feet and the razor got too close. All I wanted was a product name that maybe my dog was reacting too. My girls will never be back!!!

I recently adopted a dog from the local animal shelter and this vet was recommended to me from…read moresomeone at another clinic I had contacted to get information on spaying. I scheduled a required 2-week check-up that I was told was going to cost $45. A few days prior to her appointment, my dog began constantly scratching and licking. My dog had started scratching her belly to the point where it was bleeding so I called to see if I could bring her in early. I was told I could bring her in that day. I had all of her records with me from the shelter, and handed them to the person who came out to get my dog from the car (no owners were allowed in with their pets due to C19). When I spoke with the vet she kept asking questions that I didn't know the answers to (hence the reason I brought the records) and was told someone was entering the data in their system. The vet ended up prescribing an ointment; antibiotic; steroid and I was talked into buying a worm prevention medicine as well since I live 20 minutes from their location and didn't want to drive back just for that in the spring. The visit cost $199.28, which was a lot more than I thought I'd be paying just for ointment and exam, but I trusted the vet to know what was needed for the dog to get better. She sold me 15 ml of ointment for $28.73. I found it through a website for $12.99. FOR 30 ml. They charged me TWICE as much for HALF the amount. I was also charged about 3x more for the exact same antibiotic (cefpodoxime 100 mg/ 32 pills for $68.70 or $2.15 for 10x the amount of pills my dog needed) which would've been $.79 per pill through the same website. The dosage for the antibiotic was also too high for my dog's weight and noticed a marked change in her behavior by the 3rd day: she had started drooling, would shake, and seemed extremely anxious where she'd been very calm previously. The vet didn't include and directions or info, other than what was printed in the bottle; 1 1/2 pill per day And I realized that the instructions could either be read to administer 1/2 a pill per day, or 1.5 per day (which is what I'd been given my dog). I called to confirm and spoke with (2) different people who said that it was supposed to be 1.5 ~ when I looked it up, that dosage was for a dog 15 pounds heavier than mine. They also forget to put her folder in the bag of meds they gave me. I was shell shocked from paying 3x for a vet visit what I thought it would cost and didn't notice until they called and I had to drive back to pick up my dog's records. Later that day I received a call from them to confirm my dog's appointment for two days later that I made initially. I explained that I wasn't going to be keeping that appointment since they'd been able to see my dog that day. The woman who I had been working with (from my call that morning; taking my dog into the clinic; entering my dog's info into the system/forgetting to return the info; bringing my dog + prescriptions back to the car; calling to let me know the documents were still there; bring the documents out to me when I drove back) told me she didn't realize it was the same dog. It was no surprise when I tried to order the ointment online and the clinic wouldn't work with the store to get the prescription filled. They clearly don't care about the pet, it's all about the money.

He did not need a prong collar, and as soon as we started using it he developed dog reactivity. At the suggestion of Tri-Canine, I continued to use the prong collar, but all that did is continue to create negative associations (PAIN) any time he saw another dog. I have spent YEARS trying to regain my dog's trust and help him overcome his reactivity. I started working with a positive reinforcement trainer, and they've helped a lot. I only have one regret in my life, and that's bringing my new puppy to this place. If you are not educated, do not let these people try to convince you that prong collars are necessary. As this was my first dog on my own, I trusted Tri Canine with the wellbeing of my dog, and they recommended continuing use of the prong collar when he started to become reactive. He was not reactive before attending this class and using the prong collar. It was 2021, during the pandemic, and I was not taking my dog many places outside of the classroom. And yes, I attended the class in 2021, and I'm still here in mid 2025 dealing with the repercussions of taking my dog to Tri-Canine. You can also see in their records that I withdrew my dog/stopped attending halfway through obedience two because I had gotten some second opinions from positive reinforcement trainers. It's pretty rich to try and blame Mini Schnauzers as a breed, when there are so many dogs that are prone to developing reactivity, and you all are "professionals" who are supposed to help people who are struggling with this issue. One thing that helps reactivity develop faster, is pain associated with triggers of fear. Had I known this, I could've avoided having a reactive dog. Reading this review, your one takeaway should be: POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO WITH YOUR DOG. AVOID THIS PLACE!

They don't call them "Blucifer" for nothing! When I dropped him off, he was an absolute 20/10 whirlwind of puppy energy. When I picked him up, I honestly couldn't believe he was the same dog. I came home to what felt like a completely different puppy... in the BEST way. He's calm, settled, well-mannered, and such a joy to be around. I was absolutely gobsmacked by the transformation. I'll admit my expectations were modest, especially with such a young, energetic breed, but Stacy completely exceeded every one of them. She has now worked with two of our Belgian Shepherds. Both came to her with seemingly insurmountable issues including dog and person aggression. Nichole combined obedience training with various sports training and both dogs are now well on their way to being really good dogs. Nichole is an extrordinarily great trainer. The price of her programs are fair and her results far exceed those of other much higher priced boot camps and board and trains. I can't recommend her highly enough! She will remain our go-to trainer.
