Our doggie is a big fan of Pet Food Express!
Carl J.

Superb selection of pet food and supplies, with caring, efficient employees and great merchandising. Our dog is now older and super picky - we literally brought him to the store to make sure the food we got him passed "the sniff test." Sure enough, he got very excited, had a little accident on the floor (staff is very patient and instantly provides appropriate remedies), and then barked from pure joy. We ended up with some "gently cooked" frozen food, which he's been eating for a few weeks now. The store is a real delight and highly recommended by us AND our doggie - can't go wrong with Pet Food Express!

My favorite local pet store and I always bring my dogs here for the self help washing service. For $15 every time and you get the 4th one if you buy 3 tokens. Sometimes there is a wait especially during weekends so keep that in mind. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they do offer puppy group classes sometimes so if you have a new puppy this would be a great a chance for it to socialize and learn some basic commends. Oh and did I mention they have great dog toys selections too? My pup's favorite is the giant tennis ball. I mean you will never have too many of them and since they are bigger than usual so they don't roll under the sofa which I appreciate. Overall great place to load up pet food and snacks.

A little blow dry action after his bath!

What an awesome place for your 4 legged best friend. Came here today to get my pug Teddy a bath and it was awesome for both him and myself. The Pet Food Express is not just your traditional pet store like those other big name players. Sure they too sell food and treats and merchandise for your fur babies, but the experience was so much better. The staff working at the front counter were all very upbeat and super friendly during our visit. The best part of PFE is their self serve bathing stations where you can wash your dog at your own pace. There are 4 bathing stations which can easily accommodate small to XL dog breeds. Washes are 15.00 each which give you 1 token worth 25 minutes of time which I thought was more than generous especially for a small breed dog. Dog shampoo, warm rinsing water, an air dryer and towels are all apart of the do it yourself bathing package. In addition to the above, they also sell dog, cat, bird, fish and small critter dietary needs. Puppy and dog training classes are on sight and they have treats and merchandise for all your family pets. So the next time your pup needs a wash, don't do it at home, bring them to Pet Food Express and they will love you for it!

JAYY NEEDS A RAISE he is so caring and saw me struggling with my German Shepard and tried multiple ways like treats and encouragement to help me get him to the wash station. He ended up suggesting we put him on a rug and drag the rug to the station WHICH WORKED!! He's so amazing 10/10 he's so amazing!! I am very thankful for him

Great little pet store. They have some nicer pet items for decent prices. Then I've noticed some mainstream items are priced a bit higher. I like shopping here and browsing around with my dog who always picks out a yummy bone from their open stock bins. They offer great service, and some bigger items like dog crates, cat trees, etc are better quality. Just picked up a 7 ft tall, plush cat tree priced just right ($119) in a dark blue color. I suspect it was priced lower than the neutral colors because they normally range $150 and up. They offered great service in helping me pick out and load it into my SUV. Cat is super happy and so am I! Did I mention that they have self-serve dog washing stations??? Awesome!

Who's a good boy?!! Can't stand spraying water but loves some veal treats!

What a find! Excellent service, kind employees, and good advice. Couldn't get this guy in the tub but the shower areas were quick and easy! The dog shampoo smells better than my own and the blow out was awesome. Fun toys, special treats and great selection of food and supplies!

Love coming in to Pet food Express for the dog training with Rachelle! She has been training my reactive Doberman for a couple of months now and he is doing so great! Everyone around always says he is doing so much better! The staff at Pet Food Express is extremely nice and are always there to help especially Reann!

Great pet washing facilities! Our dog is never a fan of a bath but this makes it a lot easier than trying to do it at home.

3Tails Dog Salon

Who let the dogs out?…read more Who, who, who, who, who? No! Not the song from the year 2,000... Literally, there are some dogs running all through the parking outside of 3 tails Dog Salon... Haha True story? Maybe A Hook just to grab your attention?? Probably Will you ever know the truth??? Absolutely Not ;) But hey, you made it this far, so let's just keep on going. Approximately a year or so ago... I was shopping at my local Trader Joe's and in the parking lot (NO, there were no dogs on the loose), but there was a table set up with 2 girls advertising a new Dog Salon that was opening right next to T.J.'s. As we were on the hunt for a new dog groomer (our last one turned out to be a nightmare), we were excited to know that one was coming soon and it was literally right down the street from our house. So I took a business card and asked how comfortable they were with working with Pugs (which are not big fans of getting their nails clipped) to which they replied "they could absolutely do it." Within a week from my initial interaction with the 3 Tails staff in the parking lot, I made an appointment with the gal behind the counter named X.O. Little did I know then, but X.O. would soon be the one who would always ensure our sweet pug named Teddy was in good hands every time we would bring him here for a nail trim. X.O., you truly are the BEST!!! Since Teddy's first nail clipping here, we have been back pretty much every 2 to 3 weeks and over time, Teddy has seemed to get less and less anxious when it came time to go in for a nail trimming. In the beginning, I'll admit that I too would be a little anxious and would nervously wait for him right outside while he was in the back getting his nails done. Nowadays, I just drop him off with no cares in the world and go shopping at T.J's. Within 20 minutes or so, my Teddy boy is ready for pick up and he seems to be unfazed. I truly believe that it's the 3 Tails Team that works their magic and their genuine love for dogs brings a calmness not only to the dogs themselves, but also to their nervous-nelly pet owners (aka me). Other than nail trimmings, 3 Tails Dog salon offers the following: Baths, Grooming, Teeth Brushing, Ear Cleaning, Anal Glands Service and Day Care is also available. So if you are a Thousand Oaks, Conejo Valley local and you're looking for an AWESOME Dog grooming salon, I highly encourage you to give this place your business and support.

I very rarely write negative reviews, and my intention here is not to publicly shame an individual…read more However, given what I paid and the circumstances surrounding this appointment, I feel this experience needs to be shared. When I scheduled with Zoomin Groomin, I specifically explained that I was 9 months pregnant and would be giving birth approximately one week after the appointment. I made it very clear how important it was to me to have my cat properly groomed before bringing our newborn home. The morning of my Tuesday appointment, I was contacted and told that the groomer had been in a car accident and the appointment needed to be cancelled. Of course, an accident is understandable, although given that it was the morning after Labor Day, I admittedly had my doubts about the timing. Regardless, I immediately made arrangements with a local groomer instead. A few hours later, Zoomin Groomin contacted me saying they had found another groomer who could come 2 days later. Because I am extremely uncomfortable at this stage of pregnancy and mobile grooming was much more convenient for me, I cancelled the local appointment I had secured and chose, in good faith, to give Zoomin Groomin another chance. Unfortunately, I deeply regret that decision. The groomer arrived about 10 minutes early, which I appreciated, but the entire service was completed in approximately 20 minutes. When my cat was brought back to me, I genuinely could not believe it. He looked like a wet noodle. His nails had been trimmed and he had clearly been bathed, but he was not properly groomed and appeared to have been barely combed through. I paid $225. For $225, I did not expect what amounted to a bath and nail trim completed in roughly 20 minutes. I expected a thorough professional grooming- especially after I had clearly communicated what I wanted and why this appointment mattered so much to me. My cat is a Ragdoll with an incredibly sweet and gentle temperament. He has never bitten or scratched anyone. Instead of acknowledging that the service clearly fell short, I was given multiple explanations for why he had not been properly groomed. It was also apparent that the groomer could tell I was unhappy when she handed him back to me. At that point, however, I was exhausted, extremely pregnant, uncomfortable, and frankly had mentally tapped out. I didn't have the energy to stand there debating the quality of a service that was visibly incomplete. What disappoints me most is that the entire experience felt rushed and uncaring. I specifically chose a mobile grooming service because I wanted to make this one small thing easier on myself during my final days of pregnancy. Instead, I am now out $225, my cat still needs to be properly groomed, and I lost the appointment I had arranged elsewhere because I trusted Zoomin Groomin when they contacted me again. I genuinely feel robbed of both my time and my money. Days before giving birth, the last thing I expected was to be looking at my still-wet, barely groomed cat and feeling like I wanted to cry over a service that was supposed to take something off my plate. I will not publicly name the individual who came to my home because my goal is not to humiliate or attack someone personally. If the owner of Zoomin Groomin reaches out to me directly, I will gladly provide the groomer's name. I wanted very much to feel comfortable recommending this company. Instead, I am deeply disappointed. At a $225 price point, customers should reasonably expect care, thoroughness, professionalism, and an actual grooming, not a rushed bath and nail trim my husband could have done himself. I sincerely hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and anyone else who wants their cat groomed.
