My dog was injured twice, the second time his cornea was torn with an eye ulceration and conjunctivitis. The owner was not willing to pay the Vet ER bill, denying all responsibility and yelling at me by phone : claiming he is a "devout Christian!" He went to the groomer fine and came home with an eye ulceration! They also make you pay $35 extra for a senior dog , but are still rushing, since they are perpetually under-staffed which puts so much pressure on the poor groomers. Owner promisEd to call back and didn't. What kind of integrity does that demonstrate? He never even left his last name and number. I decided not to ask for compensation for the two other vet bills , and again the owner yelled at me and told me to "get my lawyer! I don't make deals!"

So their address is my kitchen or yours (run now they are in the house!), as that's where they give my cat his summer lion cut. I've hired them to make my tubby tabby look like the king of the jungle for a couple of years now, as well as to have them perform a daily pop-in (litter clean up, feeding, etc.) for those times when I have to travel and can't get a house sitter. In this vein they earn only 4 stars because they don't always clean up litter messes or leave me feeling like my cats are overwhelmed with attention while I'm out. But as a bail out for last minute travel these guys are gold. Best yet the cost is comparable to going to the groomers, plus you save on the aggravation of travel. When I had our kids and they suddenly started toddling around, our dog got really scared and Sen helped me develop a plan to keep the dog and toddlers safe without having to rehome our dog. Now our kids are older and through using tips from Sen they have built trust with our dog, and I think that she is having just about the best life she can possibly have. After some bad experiences at other places and trying to trim her nails ourselves, we now drive 40 mins each way every other month to have Sen file/trim our dog's nails - and we wouldn't trust anyone else to treat her with such care and respect. Everyone we meet while waiting there also has nothing but praise for Mister Beever's team, and we have gotten to know several other members of the team who my children (big horse fans) have now come to admire and trust. I always recommend Sen to anyone looking for a dog behaviorist or trainer or anyone who is at the end of their rope with their dog or cat - he's just the best, and his team is amazing. I also want to mention that when we had a family medical emergency a few years ago I asked if we could board our dog with Sen & Alex. Our dog is safe and loved and actually calm & happy sometimes now, which is a miracle, AND I wouldn't leave her with most people because she is still a reactive traumatized chihuahua mix who doesn't do well with change. Sen & Alex didn't have space but said they would work with me to figure something out since they'd known us for so long and I was so panicked about figuring out details. We ended up not having to board her at the last minute, but I was so grateful that despite having PACKED schedules and lives they were willing to help me troubleshoot. Oh, and one more thing - Sen takes the BEST photos! This is our beloved pup - and Sen took this photo during a training session years ago. It remains one of my favorites of her because it captures her personality - intense, food-focused, smart, and a bit of a goofball. Thanks, Mr. Beever's Paws & Claws!

We've had moments of emergency needs and the team has bent over backwards to support the whole family through some tough moments. They've also been a second home to our doggo when her humans are out of town, and the pep in her step when she gets to run into the MBPC home is a testament to the dogs in their care. The humans who work here are big-hearted, and their thoughtfulness and love of what they do is matched by the high levels of expertise and the high standards they set for pet care. Is it possible to say enough about how great the whole team is? Probably not... but here are some highlights: Training: Sen worked with us on our dog's fear/anxiety response to other dogs when on leash -- mostly helping us understand how to change our behaviors to better support our doggo. The clarity, understanding, patience, and support Sen offered were hugely helpful to us all! Boarding/Day Care: What a joy to be able to leave our beloved doggo someplace where we never worry or wonder if she's ok. Does she come back exhausted and clearly well-socialized and well-taken care of? Hell yes. Do we get tons of glamour shots AND action shots of our doggo while she's with MBPC? Double hell yeah. Truly, their care is exceptional, as is their communication with the humans involved. Nails/Ears: Our dog loves her "spa days," even when she's a little fussy about her ear cleanings. It's never a real challenge for the MBPC team, and she loves to see the whole crew. If you're lucky enough to be in the MBPC family, you are truly in with the best. We moved out of the area recently and have not been able to find anyone else even close to meeting the high bar Alex and Sen have set.

I wanted to take a moment to applaud the service I received from Apron Strings Pet Sitting…read more My family and I were traveling overseas recently and had a neighbor locked in to stay at our home and care for our two pets: a Pomsky and a Maine Coon. Not too difficult, just hairy and needy. Well, needless to say, that fell through last minute and I was in a bind for sure. I don't like to board them and I want them in our home. I found Apron Strings via Yelp! and saw the great reviews. I thought I'd take a chance... I talked with Howard that evening and got an understanding of what they offered, talked a little to get a read on his love for pets and general personality and was sold. He scheduled a meeting with one of his people to see my home, to walk through and meet my pets. That was great, and reassuring. I scheduled three walks/visits per day for my dog and cat. I was given a daily journal of activities, feeding, demeanor and all around vibe of my babies. That was refreshing. Upon arrival back in the states, Kim reached out to me to make sure everything went well and make sure I didn't have any issue. That was very professional as well. I will use this service in the future for my travels when I cannot find an individual to stay in my home with my pets, as they were professional and courteous. Thank you!

Clean facility with spacious amenities, but major holiday staffing concerns forced us to leave…read more We truly wanted to love this facility. Over time, we appreciated how clean the environment was, the spacious accommodations for extended travel, and receiving regular photo updates of our cat while we were away. However, an experience this past holiday season revealed a fundamental issue with holiday staffing and animal care that we simply cannot overlook. After returning home early from vacation, we contacted the owner in the early afternoon to ask about picking up our cat. Following some back-and-forth, she begrudgingly agreed--only to reveal that no one was actually working. She had to call an off-duty employee to see if they could drive over and meet us at the building. This interaction made it alarmingly clear that no staff was scheduled for the second half of the day, and it left us with serious doubts as to whether anyone had been onsite at all that morning. While we understand it was a holiday, clients pay a full daily rate with the expectation of continuous monitoring, timely medication, and basic care. Knowing the building was left unstaffed on a holiday is deeply concerning from a safety and welfare standpoint. As much as we enjoyed the facility's space and cleanliness, we cannot justify paying boarding fees for an unstaffed facility. Because of this, we can no longer recommend them and will not be returning. We strongly advise other pet parents to ask explicit questions about holiday staffing before booking, especially if your cat has any special needs or is in need of daily visits and TLC and as our cat most certainly is while he's being boarded.
