When we went to check it out before signing up, the manager was there, and he was really nice. The app was easy to set up, and it let us in at all hours during our three-day membership. We are really early risers, so their 24-hour access via the app was really great for us. The gym seems to lean toward powerlifters. I say that not to imply that they give cardio equipment a short shrift. Rather, they have an amazing array of serious powerlifting equipment there, in addition to cardio and circuit equipment. And, as such, they had a few really big dudes, but we didn't feel out of place due to being cardio people along with being unfamiliar faces. The few members that were there in the wee hours of the morning when we were there were friendly. We will be going back on our regular Williamsburg vacations.

The instructors with whom we work are well- educated and follow the guidelines established by ongoing assessments of our abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. We both have also taken advantage of the muscle activation technique (MAT) sessions offered by the Center's owner, Mary Jane Amrein, and that has identified and corrected specific areas of weakness or imbalance. We have learned that many professional athletes use this technique on a routine basis to improve their performance and strength. The facility is clean, well-lighted, and well-equipped with the latest Pilates Stott fitness and exercise machines, work-out equipment, as well as an infra-red sauna.
