After a stay on St John, I had a couple hours before my flight when the ferry dropped me in Crown…read moreBay, so I swung by here as it was right nearby. I got the whole fried snapper with native sauce, and man was it delicious. Maybe the best thing I ate on my trip, and I had a number of meals in St John. Really nice fish and crispy and delicious. Nice sauce. I tried one of the homemade juices and it went perfectly with the fish. I wish this place was on St John! But would return next time I'm in Crown Bay. Note that it did take a while so order ahead or just be ready to wait for maybe 45min depending on when you arrive. So just ask how long it'll take. Nice staff too.

At G&D, you can either order fresh seafood to take home or dine in. We chose to sit down and enjoy a meal. We started with two drinks: Passion Fruit and Tamarind Passion Fruit. Both were refreshing, but I personally preferred the Tamarind blend. For our meal, we ordered the Stuffed Lobster and Shrimp--beautifully plated, as you can see below. I had the shrimp, and it definitely hit the spot. My cousin enjoyed the lobster and said it was just as flavorful. The pricing was fair for the portion and quality. The atmosphere was welcoming, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. You can also get a feel for the vibe from the photo of the restaurant's interior below. Will I return? Yes, I would--but next time, I'll try something different on the menu!

I love when I get excited to write a review for a new restaurant I tried on vacation. This trip…read moretook me to St. Thomas, and being an island community, it also meant seafood, which I love and is hard to come by in Phoenix, AZ. The Fish Market sits on the beach at the bottom of the Elysian Hotel. While you can walk there, it's a long, winding road through the hotel grounds. While I want to say we were met with a warm island welcome, instead, we were met by a grouchy young lady who seemed less than happy to be working or enjoying her day. On a positive note, our waitress, Kieke, was delightful and sweet and a complete opposite from the hostess. As for the food, let me be honest when I say it was one of the top two seafood meals I've had in my life. I got the crab-stuffed grouper with broccolini and couscous. It was cooked perfectly and had a sauce that was delicious! At the end of the day, this was a great experience, and if you can get down to the restaurant (which is a hike), you will absolutely enjoy the meal and ask for Kieke and ignore the rude hostess.

We finished off dinner with some key lime pie. Service was excellent and I appreciated that we were able to get a reservation day of.
