The greens are always old and have gone bad. They rarely open and close at the time posted on their door.

Shockingly few poke/sushi places in San Juan so first and foremost I'm glad this place exists. I found it to be a bit overpriced/average compared to other poke places in the continental US but it was fresh and a good lunch so in the grand scheme of things I can't complain too much. Now, I'm not deducting any stars for this, but there was a major language barrier between the woman working and myself, which I normally wouldn't even note except for the fact that this location is in an incredibly touristy area where it's unusual to come across someone that doesn't speak fluent English. As a result, I ended up getting zucchini noodles as my base instead of the salad that I wanted, a harmless mistake but one that ended up costing me extra since there's an upcharge. Prices are reasonable - $14 for a "small" bowl (difference in size being amount of fish) but it ended up being nearly $18 with adds ons and upcharges. Some of the upcharged toppings were obvious but I wasn't expecting to pay more for seaweed salad. The free miso soup is a nice touch. Overall I would come back for lack of similar options, but I simply didn't think it was that great. read more

Typical poke bowl, nothing special or amazingly delicious. The tuna didn't have any seasoning or flavor to it, which is a little different than how it's prepared where I'm from. The miso comes free with a bowl, but it's flavorless and was barely warm (11:45pm). I would pass on it unless you add the whole packet of soy sauce and some diablo sauce. Regular bowl with one add-on and tax runs you a little under $20. Overall this is a mediocre tasting poke bowl, but if you want a change in food options this place would work. This might be the best poké I've ever had! I ordered from POKÉBAR through DoorDash as soon as I got to my Airbnb because I was absolutely starving, and it was the perfect choice. Delivery was smooth, the portion size was ideal, and all the ingredients were so fresh! Poke is fairly new to the island and Pokebar does it perfectly. Plenty of options for both menu items and build your own. The fish tasted very fresh and there was no fishy taste to it. Nice and firm salmon and tuna. They allow you to choose up to 10 mix ins, 4 toppings and 2 sauces. The veggies were all fresh and I appreciate that they dice up the larger items (like jalapenos). Nothing worse than getting a huge slice of jalapeño in one bite and no jalapeño in the next 5 bites. My only complaint is that they should allow more than 2 sauces as complimentary. Most places in the mainland allow you to mix and match as many sauces as you like, and as a sauce person, I appreciate trying different flavors. Overall a great fresh and light alternative to all the rice and fried heavy local places on the Condado strip. Great poke and great service! We did some massive and epic dinners every night during our stay and Pokebar was a welcome light lunch the next day (so good, I came twice). read more

The person taking orders couldn't remember from one moment to the next what we were asking for, then got a piece of paper & stared at it a bit as she wrote, then proceeded to stare at the order screen & keep asking & repeating incorrectly parts of our order & trying to come up with a price. She kept stopping & going to the kitchen too-It was just some sushi, dumplings & edamame! Took 10-15 min for that & then another 5 to get through paying for canned drinks. I felt bad for the lady behind us with a single order. Food was mediocre & overpriced-after eating we had to find another place to have a real meal. Sushi was ample but rice sour. Edamame overcooked. They were training new staff it took 2 times to make my order but its ok cause they made sure there staff were well Learned! I know next time it will b as perfect and FRESH as the fist time! Avoid. I was there on 3/18/22 (Friday) at 8pm. The two men working the counter were determined to be slow and unhelpful. When I asked about building a bowl, they claimed upcharges for all kinds of typical items, including seaweed, endame, mango, etc. They pretended not to understand me, whether in Spanish or English. It became too complicated and costly. They only had 3 signature bowls: one with chicken, one plantain-based, and one with salmon and tuna blended. No substitutions allowed. You had to get both salmon and tuna, for example. Started using cellphone while I stood at the counter, interrupting the order. By contrast, just a couple doors down was a different pan Asian restaurant with poke bowls, sushi pizza, rice noodles, scallop poke--So delicious. I'll find the name. read more

Ate here our second night in Puerto Rico. It was amazing. For $14 you can build your own bowl with up to two protein choices, 10 toppings (only a handful are a small up charge), two sauces and then toppings. I read a previous review where someone gave it one star and said portions are small and food is pricey . He must have had a chip on his shoulder because that's not true at all! My bowl was so big I ate half and saved my other half for lunch. Best poke bowl I've ever had. My fish was fresh and sauces were amazing. Food was good, portion was small. Price was NOT. Total sticker shock for the options I added, which at other Poke joints back (everywhere else in the world) are included in base price. I would've been okay with paying for the extra options but if you're going to charge for every extra option, you NEED to state that! They only displayed an extra charge for some options (such as seaweed, or brown rice, etc.), which allude customers into thinking the other options listed are included for free, they're not. This is disengenious and you can't go back once the poke bowl is already made (well you can) but that's not a position a business owner should ever put their customers in the first place. Please fix your pricing so customers aren't misled. read more

Food was good and fresh. They have many gluten free options. If you are celiac or cannot eat gluten for other reasons, let them know.

My dad has celiac disease and has a very difficult time going to restaurants because they don't always understand what has gluten or not. This place has gluten free soy sauce and the servers really understood what had gluten or what didn't. The food was very good. read more
