It now looks like a smaller imprint of the previous location with the kids area centrally located. The dinner menu had wonderful choices. We devoured the crostini and dips and the buffalo chicken dip. For entrees we had the fettuccini with turkey kielbasa, the turkey and potatoes in bernaise with corn, and the kids buttered pasta and fruit ramekins. Two of us enjoyed cafe au lait. The mocktail menu looks scrumptious! Kicking off dinner service on a Monday garnered a surprising number of patrons. Went back with my coffee group and we all enjoyed our drinks, food, the seating area (plenty of seating options and areas including a kid play area) I personally had the chicken salad and it was still very good as well as the London fog drink. My friend had the Brazilian bagel and she said it was vet good! Service behind the counter as well as the people bringing out the drinks were all kind and nice. This café looks more spacious and quaint inside than it appears from the outside. They serve caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages, a good selection of savory and sweet food items, and coffee beans from local roasters if you fancy grinding your own beans. The cafe is aiming to build an orphanage home, so the money you pay in this establishment gets contributed to a meaningful cause. During our stay they even allowed a group of people do a mini performance and allowed them to sell cookies as the funds they make from the cookies go towards the musical instruments for the youth. I appreciate the philanthropic side of this café as I haven't seen that anywhere else. There's enough seating for couples and bigger groups, and there's a play area if you wish to bring your little kids. There are a few books and board games at your disposal and the drinks are good! (We ordered hot and iced coffees; both hit the spot) The person who served us was also a delight. I'm taking away a star because of the layout of the seating. We were instructed to listen for our names at the coffee bar (totally fine; we placed to go orders) The issue arose because there was nowhere for us to wait for our order that didn't seem to be in the way/uncomfortably close to other seated patrons. Great place to hang out, especially with kids. There is a cute play area for them. When we went there, it was the middle of the afternoon, so the play area was a mess, but the kids had a ton of fun. Food is a bit pricey and mediocre. We got the mini charcuterie board for the kids, and I had a chef salad. Both items I could probably make better at home to be completely honest. I also got an iced latte which was really good. The whole Café is such a cute vibe and I do like the concept of it. The bathroom was pretty dirty and the toilet paper wasn't on a toilet roll. It's in a basket and you just grab it with your hand, I think that's kind of gross. Parents are encouraged to watch their kids, which you would think is normal anywhere you go, it's definitely not. So make sure you're keeping an eye on your children while they're in the play area, out of respect for the restaurant and other patrons. Since Sophia and I had the day off work observing President's Day, we headed here for breakfast. The last tume we were here was back in September where I had a Dirty Chai and Next Level Breakfast Bagel, which was fufilling. Would this be any different? Upon entering, we ordered right away at the counter. I chose the Persnickety Mocha Latte for coffee and the Muesli Mug, which is a full collections of ingredients. Whole grain wheat, oats, rye and barley with dates, raisins, almonds, flaxseed, chia seed, sunflower seeds, dates, walnuts, honey, milk and Greek yogurt. Like I said.....a whole lot. First, the coffee. Very rich with flavor. I'm a mocha guy so this one fit my taste buds just right. Now, the mug itself. The amount of ingredients may say this is overdoing a meal, but everything came together here. It was flavorful with every bite. Truly surprised I enjoyed it myself. Sophia had a cold brew and Next Level breakfast bagel where she gave it a thumbs up. Definitely not a bad start for the day. Warm and welcoming for the both of us. What a great, unique, place to meet friends and enjoy coffee and great food! It has a lot of seating and I love the décor and atmosphere. The staff is always so nice, and service is pretty quick. I had the cheese, cracker and meat tray. It was a little small, and not enough crackers, but was delicious. My cold brew was great too. They have yummy muffins and desserts, and also a play area for children. i have had the ham & cheese sliders on Hawaiian rolls before, and they were really good as well. Only negatives I have are that the prices are a bit steep, it can get very loud, and they close at 5. It would be great for them to stay open until at least 7 so people can grab a coffee after work, or a light dinner. I stumbled onto the Persnickety Crane Cafe when doing my Yelp search, so I decided to try it out. I've been back several times now. The good: Very charming decor, with a nice kid's play area. Bonus! Wifi is free, always a perk. The food we've had has been very good - the breakfast bagel is probably my favorite, but the french toast is also delicious. Good location with lots of parking makes it easy access. The not-so-good: It's pretty pricey - for two bagels for myself and my toddler, it was $20. For the play area, it evened out since it gave him something to do while we were waiting. In terms of the drinks, I haven't been impressed. Both times I got a coffee drink I didn't care for it, but the tea was good. The menu is pretty limited as well - so you can't really do like a full-on breakfast, but there are a few sandwich options. It's kind of a random mixed bag. Overall, I dig this place, and we'll keep coming back. The staff was friendly, and patient as I perused the menu trying to find what I wanted to try. They have bar area, and a couple of tables when you walk in. I have been here several times and it has gone downhill since they have moved. Perhaps they have changed leadership and/or ownership I do not know exactly. The person I had an encounter with was apparently not affiliated with the business directly, but partnered with them in some way? I don't know that either but for some reason she was running the register and is the reason I will not come back. If asked to wait a moment in a respectful way that would be one thing. However, "You have to wait a second" in the tone and the way she was staring at me led me to leave, my partner who had already ordered informed me that she, was not directly part of the staff but a "partner". I have been putting up with the awkward way the establishment is run since they moved out of a since of nostalgia. But whatever. Cure has much better coffee and they are cool as a cucumber. I feel like it was overpriced due to the fact that those were the blandest tacos ever. No love. It was corn tortillas out the bag- not heated or roasted. Then can black beans, didn't seam to be seasoned, a slice of avocado, a leaf on each and a drip of salsa. It just seemed to be minimal. I am a vegan but I still like to eat a meal and have flavor. Even cilantro would help. Plus the menu said it had vegan cheese - but it wasn't on them. Fruit bowls were prepared behind glass case looked like they were brown and unappetizing. I ordered a London fog latte and a bacon and Brie sandwich. The London fog could have used a touch more sweetness. The sandwich was mediocre. The "sourdough" they use is clearly store bought sourdough, which was very disappointing. The egg on the sandwich was so thick it caused some bites to be just bread. It would be better off being an over medium egg instead of frittata. The bacon was more like British bacon, not American. It was lukewarm by the time I got it so the Brie wasn't even melted anymore. I think adding arugula could provide some nice freshness as well. Using real sourdough, making it a panini and adding arugula would make this a sandwich that I'd crave time and again. Overall this is a cute cafe and I'll be back but it could be better. read more

They don't offer table service except to drop off your food and for the price of their menu items, the scarce menu now, it's just not worth it anymore, sadly. We didn't do much research on this cafe and didn't realize it was so family friendly. They have so many little books and games for children and comfortable seating for the parents. My friend told me about this place, and it's just what a mother of two boys could use to get a java and break for a little bit. This place is bigger than most coffee places. They have a play area for kids which is nice... My two boys chilled and had fun playing. We enjoyed looking at their fish tank. There was water available for whenever it was needed. Games are on a shelf if you want to hang with a friend and play games. I ordered the mocha latte. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Why? Because it wasn't crazy sweet, and the coffee was bold and rich.. It was delicious. This cafe offers food as well and looking at the menu it all looked delicious. This will be my new hang out spot. I wonder if they do lunch cards lol.
