The woman appeared senior citizen looking 5'7 feet and plus size. While I was with my fiance the older looking woman went by the front door and tested the alarm. Please note another individual witnessed this situation too. The store appears racist towards black people from my personal experience of the close following. I did not see them follow white people/couples that were in store. It is sad and very unfortunate I was treated in this manner. I was raised to pay for anything I wanted and have done that as an educated, successful individual in the community.

Then, I was surprised to learn it is a consignment shop. I! tried on quite a few dresses today before finding the perfect one! It is exactly right for the weather and the type of event I am attending.The dress I found is brand new - with tags - and cost a tiny fraction of the original price. In fact, everything in the shop is amazingly reasonable. Before leaving, I found a great pair of light tan Anne Taylor Loft jeans that also fit me perfectly and were a steal - price-wise. And - just as I went to check out - I found a very pretty bracelet! Total cost for all three items: $33. Vickie was manning the store and she couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. She found a chair for my husband to sit as I tried things on. The store was mobbed! Saturday afternoon "retain therapy." Only one dressing room, but everyone found an armload to try and the other ladies and I moved in and out quickly, One of my friends arrived and helped me decide which pair of jeans to buy - fun! This place is very small inside - compared to it's gargantuan neighbor next door. Still, I found something I really liked - a wrought iron candle holder - with wrought iron acorns and leaf adornments - holds three candles - and came with three candles in nice Autumn colors - only $15.00! I met "Paula" of Paula's Boutique - very nice lady. She does not accept credit cards - cash or check only. I was out of cash - she offered to go next door and use her neighbor's credit card machine. I declined and asked if she could hold it for me and I would return next Sunday to purchase it. She told me to just go ahead and take the item now and come back and pay her for it! Wow! You don't experience that often these days! So I will go back on Sunday to pay for my item! Nice lady and nice little shop!
